- Big Bad: Giovanni finally makes his move for world conquest, and stopping him and Team Rocket serves as Ash's final task.
- Big Damn Heroes: During the final battle with Giovanni, the Rocket Trio decide to defect and protects Ash with a Mirror Coat from Wobbuffet.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Giovanni's ultimate weapon is a brainwashed Mega Mewtwo X that easily takes down the region's Elite Four.
- Distant Finale: The final shot of the story is of an older Ash sending out Pikachu against a challenger.
- Fix Fic: As the title suggests, the video intends to give Ash's story a more definitive conclusion than in canon.
- Heel–Face Turn: The Rocket Trio decide to turn on their boss as they don't want to hurt people and have realized Ash is ultimately their friend.
