Doodletones (also known as Suzy Doodle) is a YouTube slideshow commentator who started commentaries in 2015. She started commentaries because she thought they looked fun, but this initially went nowhere as she was criticized for being very boring in her delivery while having a tendency to cut people off having nothing to say. She briefly became a bandwagon after she did a commentary on MasterTP10, after which she took the resulting criticism given to her and progressively got higher reception. She then became a member of the Bunch of Pseudo Intellectuals on October 2016 and started DLC-TV, a podcast-like series where she and guest cover videos the same month, but was cancelled in 2017.

She founded the commentary group, The Cloud Palace, in November of 2017.

Not to be confused with Doodle Toons.

Doodletones's commentaries contain the following examples of:

  • Catchphrase: "Try again" used to be the way she ended her rebuttals during her early days, before considering it a Discredited meme.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Her main style of commentaries.
  • Mood Whiplash: After giving a verbal No-Holds-Barred Beatdown of TBone2004's final thoughts towards TMossBoss, she takes a moment to ask why TBone mentioned a Sylveon plush in his rant.
Doodletones: Be honest, was that too harsh? Also, wait, why a Sylveon plushie?
  • Old Shame: Discussed in some of her Worst of the Year Lists; Her Worst of 2016, 2017, and 2022 lists all feature videos made by her on them. Taken to its logical extreme in her Top 10 Worst Doodletones Commentaries video.
  • Robot Girl: R0b0-Doodle - a mechanical version of herself, as the name suggests.
  • Self-Deprecation: Doodletones does this often within her commentaries and her lore.
  • The Remake: Her 256th commentary, "The Commentary Poker Game", is a remake of her 7th commentary, "Beating A Dead Pony".

The lore of her videos contain the following examples of:

Stopping the Commentary Early

After 10 minutes of her target (Becsfault) being unbearable to sit through, commentator Doodletones decides to end her commentary early and move on to final thoughts despite there still being 20 minutes left of material in her target's video.

How well does it match the trope?
