Dice Games Italia is an Italian Youtube (At first started in Twitch) channel created on the 27th of August 2013. Originally, the group consisted of three Italian Youtubers: Quit108, Naux Cube, and Rexen, along with two other members: The Master (Luca Bellini) and Robin. Along the years the members have shifted and various guest stars came and went. However, the core of the channel never changed: The livestream of various Tabletop Games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Dark Heresy, along with various more niche titles.

The channel over the years has gathered over 35 complete campaigns, some longer and shorter, and over 30 3-hour livestream each. The channel currently has 10k subscribers that amassed over the years. In the span of this time they created several memes, characters, and stories. Their channel can be found here

Note: Most chats and campaign names have been directly translated from Italian to English.

This channel provides examples of:

  • Anti-Hero: The bread and butter of all members of the DGI. Even the most heroical ones tend be jerks at best and morally grey at worst.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The Finale of the Fellowship of the Inept campaign ends with Rodrek ascending into godhood and saving the other characters from destruction, but at the same time loses his memories and identity. Ego and Cecil join up in a questionable partnership with a mysterious higher entity, and become very long lived as a result. And Duinhir transforms into an eldritch guardian that protects the temple of the newly god-like Rodrek
  • Black-and-Gray Morality: How most characters, and conflicts , in most campaigns turn out to be, as there are rarely, if ever, morally pure characters.
  • Butt-Monkey: Naux, and his characters, tend to be at the end of many out of character and in character jokes of the group.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The very first campaigns of the channel (such as the first season of the Fellowship of the Inept) were streamed on Twitch and then uploaded in 'bits' on the Youtube channel. This eventually changed when the DGI started livestreaming directly on Youtube instead, allowing them to broadcast more easily and, most of all, immediatly upload the entire livestream after it was done.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The Black Sun. A gigantic humanoid shadow in the Fellowship of the Inept. Nobody knows what it is or if it's even malicious or not. Fact is that even Rodrek, who was at that point the strongest character in the group, had to be forced into a retreat after fighting it at the beginning of Season 3.
  • Film Noir: The entirety of the Silence of Hollowind campaign (played on the same-named game that Luca Bellini directly worked for) is stylized like this. With LA Noire music in the background and black-and-white webcams.
  • Gainax Ending: If it does not end in a Bittersweet Ending or a Downer Ending it's this.
    • In the Fleshscape campaign after the tribe manages to kill of the Final Boss it turns out the creature was actually an alien ruler from another planet, and the star that crashed which the tribe was looking for was actually its spaceship (keep in mind that in Fleshscape there exists no metal, only bones and flesh, so such a thing is completely foreign to the setting) and then the campaign abruptly ends.
  • Golden Ending: Against all odds the group manages to get the best ending possible (minus the very much intentional murder of a minor character) in the DamRio campaign. They also manage to get by without anyone really dying (permanently) and the most dangerous thing was the Tentaclebus that drove them from location to location
  • Killer Game Master: Heavily subverted by The Master. The others in the group like to act like he's incredibly malicious towards their characters, but is by far one of the most fair GMs that the group plays with. There have been some other cases however, like with Matteo 'Curte' Cortini.
  • Off the Rails: As is usual in tabletop campaigns this happens quite a lot. One of the most classic examples is Rodrek grabbing the Red Spark at the end of The Fellowship of the Inept season 2...and eating it. Luca had absolutely no idea how to go from there.
  • Lord British Postulate: In the Power Rangers parody Go! Go! DGI campaign the final boss is a giant fortress with absurd amounts of HP and incredibly attack power which was supposed to kill off all the characters. The DGI then promptly use the rules of the game at their disposal and manage to destroy it without it killing anyone. Needless to say, Curte was both in shock and dissapointed by this
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: How most groups end up being. The first group, the Fellowship of the Inept, is a clear example.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: In The Silence of Hollowind campaign Liam Warren, played by Naux, dies as he tries to chase down a suspect in the second session.
