Cardfaptor Sakura was an abridged series (or rather a MENT parody) of Cardcaptor Sakura created by and starring Theshugotv (now known as Erytronne) and Sith50 (now known as Shadow_Of_Shana).
Following in the footsteps of Code MENT and None Piece, it was a rather loose take on the series featuring a Jerkass version of Sakura and her misadventures and mayhem with her two "special friends" Tomoyo and Meiling.
Unlike the original child-friendly series, Cardfaptor Sakura occasionally crossed into NSFW territory, so be forewarned.
On December 9, 2015, the series was cancelled after two episodes due to personal matters that wound up complicating Erytronne and Shana's friendship and by proxy the production of the show itself.
Cardfaptor Sakura features the following tropes:
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Nadeshiko has blue hair which was her hair color in the original manga, the anime adaptation of which this series is based changed her hair color to grey.
- Adaptational Sexuality: In this version, Sakura is a lesbian and she's dating Tomoyo and Meiling.
- Aroused by Their Voice: Sakura, Tomoyo and Meiling to Bitch Fighter in Duel 2...according to Cerberus if she spoke normally, she'd blow up an entire city.
- Art Evolution: Compare Nadeshiko's portrait in Duel 1 to her portrait in Duel 2.
- Butt-Monkey: In the original series it's Sakura, however in this parody, it's Syaoran.
- Censored for Comedy: Cerberus's genitalia....which are barely pixellated and also Sakura.
- Country Matters: Usually one or twice.
- Flanderization: Somehow Tomoyo is even MORE of a lesbian than she was in the original.
- Free-Range Children: Nadeshiko is a pretty lenient parent apparently.
- Gag Penis:
- Also in Duel 1, Sakura pulls out a bowl of pixellated dicks and tells Tomoyo and Cerberus to eat them and again in her response to E3 2013.
- Glamorous Single Mother: Nadeshiko is confirmed to be this in Duel 2.
- Jive Turkey: Occasionally Sakura.
- Larynx Dissonance: Everyone was voiced by two men (well in one case, Erytronne identifies as female), though it surprisingly worked.
- Manipulative Editing: Well it was an Abridged Series.
- Missing Mom: Averted.! Nadeshiko is alive and well in this version.
- Really Gets Around: Nadeshiko, according to Sakura.
- Revenge: According to the description of Duel 1, Nadeshiko wants revenge on Clow Reed.
- Shout-Out: It wouldn't be an Abridged Series without 'em. Erytronne & Shana pay tribute to Regular Show for starters.
- Spared by the Adaptation: In this version Nadeshiko is alive and well.
- Stock Sound Effects: This series used a variety of familiar sound effects.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: In this series, Sakura and Meiling to Tomoyo.
- Written Sound Effect and Unsound Effect: Similar to what you'd see in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
- Your Mom: Cerberus tries to use this as an insult to Sakura, but Sakura retorts with the fact that everyone in this series has had sex with Nadeshiko at some point.
