BroFilms is a YouTube video creator who makes videos about games, animation, memes, and more.
He has three main series:
- Commentary with Bro is a series where he gives commentary on other works and other YouTube channels.
- My Edits is a video series consisting of his edits and memes (often based off of Doraemon).
- Reviews with BroFilms is his Video Review Show where he gives his own reviews on various topics.
His secondary channel BroEdits has quickly-made edits and videos that he doesn't think are suited to the main BroFilms channel.
His main videos can be found here, and his edits can be found here.
BroFilms provides examples of:
- Author Appeal: He does commentary on about whoever he personally feels like talking about.
- Bilingual Dialogue: His Doraemon edits might be based off of the Japanese version of the show, so if he inserts any English sounds or clips, the result is bilingual dialogue.
- Blatant Lies: "My Edits - 4" claims that it's "#1 on Trending". This is obviously not true because it has far too little views to be trending on YouTube.
- Chiptune: Reviews with BroFilms has an instrumental chiptune theme tune.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: His commentary videos have yellow thumbnails, his edits have blue thumbnails, and his reviews have green thumbnails.
- Crossover: It's common for multiple shows to be combined into a single edit showing the characters interacting.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: His early videos (usually Minecraft videos) aren't like his newer content at all.
- Face on the Cover: He's in his YouTube avatar (pictured above) and he appears at the right of all his thumbnails.
- Hand Puppet: In "puppet_test.mp4", a hand puppet of Doraemon talks about making macaroni and cheese.
- Instrumental Theme Tune: Reviews with BroFilms has an instrumental chiptune theme tune.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: In one edit, Bro is stuck inside an edit of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and he asks, "Is this an edit or something?"
- No Ending: Many of his edits abruptly end after the jokes are done.
- Questioning Title?: Every Commentary with Bro video has a question mark after the topic of the video.
- Rapid-Fire Comedy: My Edits contains a lot of short individual edits and memes that happen in rapid succession.
- Recap Episode: "The 2018 Edits Recap Compilation" combines every edit he made in 2018 into one single video that's just under 50 minutes long.
- Reference Overdosed: My Edits contains a lot of references to a lot of different works.
- Running Gag: Doraemon clips are a recurring meme on the channel. One specific clip that's often used is the song "I Like Pie" from Early English with Doraemon.
- Shout-Out: Several, mostly to video games, animation, and other memes.
- Trapped in TV Land: In one edit, Bro is stuck inside his own video of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.
