Backyard Birds of Australia is a YouTube channel depicting various Australian birds, which are friendly and tame and have been assigned names. While King Parrots, Rainbow Lorikeets, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Guineafowl, Domestic Chickens, Peewees, and Australian Wood Ducks have all been featured on the channel, the channel is most well-known for the antics regarding the Laughing Kookaburras and, to a lesser extent, the Australian Magpies.

Contains examples of the following tropes:

  • All Animals Are Domesticated: Many people have commented on her videos that the birds featured, despite being wild, act as though they are domesticated, with several birds even coming into the house.
  • Beak Attack: Several of the birds have done this; Boob Bitey, the boob-biting kookaburra, is a prime example. In the video "There ain't no milk in there - boob-biting birdie", Boob Bitey is perched on the woman's arm when she bites the woman's boob.
  • Breast Attack: Boob Bitey bit the woman's boob in the video "There ain't no milk in there - boob-biting birdie" and got her name from that.
  • Fluffy Dry Cat: When Cheeky Boy shook himself off after bathing in the pool, his feathers stuck out, making him look very fluffy.
  • Meaningful Name: Each of the birds are named based on a trait of theirs, or something they did. For example, Sneezy the duck was named because he sneezes a lot, Cheeky Boy the Kookaburra is very cheeky and bold, Dwarfy is smaller than the other Kookaburras, and Boob Bitey bit the woman's boob.
  • Vegetarian Carnivore: Downplayed, but Boob Bitey the Kookaburra tries to steal the woman's apple in the video "Wild carnivorous bird tries to steal my apple! Taste test at the end," despite being a carnivorous bird.
