Anime Movies Reviewed is a video review show hosted by Dora Chan and Rajatava Kar. As the title implies, they review anime movies and episodes together. Unlike most web reviewers, they don't use their real voices in their reviews (but Raja uses his voice in his other series). In their reviews, they show pictures of the anime and add their thoughts as on-screen text. Their reviews are rather akin to a blog in this regard.

Rajatava provides most of the images for the series, while some images are provided by the Toon Anime India administrator Subhraneel. Dora Chan edits and directs the series and provides the music.

The uploads are alternated between Dora Chan and Rajatava Kar. One episode will be on Rajatava Kar's channel, the next episode will be on Dora Chan's channel, etc. Rajatava maintains playlists of both channels' uploads; this playlist is for episodes uploaded on Rajatava's channel, and this playlist is for episodes uploaded on Dora Chan's channel.

Anime Movies Reviewed provides examples of:

  • Constructive Criticism: Raja and Dora will usually talk about the plot, climax, characters, soundtrack, and other aspects of each movie that they liked or didn't like.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Anime Movies Reviewed is exactly that; a review series focusing on anime movies.
  • No Antagonist: This trope is discussed in their review of Doraemon: Nobita and the Haunts of Evil:
Raja: The villain's conspiracy was not mind blowing and we expected it so... the villain can't be called a MASTERMIND... just a normal villain...
Dora: But villiain is not the only thing in movies, if u have a great story without a clear-cut villiain u can still have a good movie
Raja: Yeah but a huge part! Without Gigazombie, would Birth of Japan be ANYTHING lol...
Raja: Without Ledina, King of the Sun would be BORING! Villain is not all but a major part
Dora: Stand by me for example. It didnt have a clear One.
Raja: uhhh it had a villain. it was one hidden villain
Dora: Stop making sewashi a bad guy. He is a good guy for me. Lol. invoked
Raja: but the thing is it didn't try to look cool, it was meant to be emotional! These movies try to look cool! and they even are but with a villain
  • Public Domain Soundtrack: Most of the background songs are generic royalty-free songs that are found by Raja.
  • Ron the Death Eater: In their review of Doraemon: Nobita and the Haunts of Evil, they mention Sewashi Nobi's role in Stand by Me Doraemon. Raja calls Sewashi a "hidden villain", causing Dora to ask him to stop making Sewashi a "bad guy". invoked
  • Time Travel: Raja thinks that time travel can often be confusing in movies. He praises the time travel of Doraemon: Nobita and the Haunts of Evil for being easy to understand. Dora agrees with him.
  • Title Confusion: This is an example where the authors are inconsistent with the title. Usually the title is Anime Movies Reviewed, but some episodes have it as Anime Movies Review or simply Anime Reviewed.
