The Tower is awake...

An ominous tower has sent invitations of a new tournament. Telling its promise of rewards: wealth, wishes, and more. But what hidden secrets does this tower have in store for it's contestants?

In the heart of the tower sleeps an android whose energy derives from living beings around it. After completing its eons old mission of collecting knowledge throughout the universe, it reconstructs itself into a tower, sheltering all of the archived knowledge within. In an urgent search for more energy, the tower reawakens and lures its combatants into a false tournament. All fight their way out for their reward, little do they know the horror that lies before them should they lose.

Each doorway and floor of the tower is comprised of the android's memories and are projected as physical holograms that can very well kill you at the wrong step. These memories contain environments from all over the universe, try to expect the unexpected. Nothing is as it seems...

Tropes found in The Tower Tournament

  • Action Girl:
    • Fool is the leader of a band of refugees called The After Earth Rebellion.
    • Kakei is part of a rebel group fighting some invaders about five times her size, 'nuff said.
  • Afraid of Needles: Kakei also has a fear of surgery and death.
  • Artificial Limbs: Both of Adam's arms have been replaced with prosthetics.
  • Badass Normal: While mythical creatures, Shikyo and Jack are relatively "Human" creatures. No super powers as we know of in any form. And They're going to take on a tournament in the universal archives.
  • Berserk Button: Shikyo does not want to hear you tell her that her mission is meaningless.
  • Butt-Monkey: Of most fan art of Jack, he's usually seen overpowered by Shikyo. Not that it's too far off, as Shikyo seems to frequently ignore and threaten him according to the audition comic.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: Kute takes pleasure in inflicting pain on both himself and others, and on a related note, he Loves the Sound of Screaming.
  • Cute Bruiser: Kakei is tiny, she's cute, and she can really pack a punch... er... kick.
  • Designated Victim: Poor Aaron usually gets himself into a lot of trouble that Rent has to get him out of.
  • The Faceless: The Oracle, whose "face" is always hidden in shadow due to his lack of a physical body.
  • Fantastic Racism: Kute is extremely ethnocentric and racist, and looks down on other species.
  • Fragile Speedster: Kakei prefers speed over defense any day.
  • Guns Akimbo: Shikyo's means of fighting. She wields two bayonet pistols of different bullet types, colored red for the normal bullets, and blue for the laser bullets.
  • Handicapped Badass: E.C. is blind, but kicks a lot of ass despite this.
  • Hidden Weapons: Jarilo has what appear to be shoulder pads, but they are, in fact, missiles.
  • Higher-Tech Species: Kakei's species, the Etea, have civilian space travel, energy weapons, translating devices, and pieces of technology that can change a person's shape.
  • Humanoid Aliens: Kakei is an alien and she's humanoid.
  • Hypocritical Humor: The entire audition comic seems to build up just how hypocritical Shikyo is.
    • "I'm not going to some silly get together a bunch of battle crazed detectives are invited to!" just a page ago she talked about how she took out a target because he badmouthed her.
    • "Obssessed over a hunk of tech. How shallow can you be?" What's Shikyo's biggest drive again? Oh yes, revenge.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Taeky's sink plunger is not the kind of weapon you expect to see in the Tower.
  • Klingons Love Shakespeare: Aengus adores anime and western movies/shows.
  • Law of Chromatic Superiority: Higher level undead are often red in color.
  • Little Miss Snarker: Kakei can be highly sarcastic when she wants to be... which is often.
  • Little Miss Badass: Kakei might be 4'6", but she can still kick your ass.
  • Little People: Kakei's species is usually under 5 feet tall with some variation.
  • Manchild: Fool still acts naive and trusting even in the face of an enemy.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: To those who don't know, "Shikyo" means "Death" in Japanese.
  • Older and Wiser: The Oracle is ageless and His species has existed since the Universe began.
  • Partial Transformation: Setas can shapeshift into "demi-forms", where he retains a human shape, but gains added animal abilities, i.e. wings or the ability to breathe underwater.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning:
    • Vanguard's eyes aren't always there but, when they are, you better freaking run.
    • Mia's eyes change color when 'Rei' takes control.
  • Regenerating Health: Fool can regenerate her health if in the presence of nuclear radiation.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: Carlos is probably the single most normal individual in the whole tournament.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Taeky. Fluffy? Check! Small? Check! Big eyes? Check! Adorable? Check!
  • Scars Are Forever: Jack has a nice cut running from his cheek down to the side of his throat. He also appears to be missing an eye, if his eye patch amounts to anything.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: Omni's power and special abilities revolve around the seven deadly sins.
  • Shock and Awe: Fool has electrokinetic powers given to her by The Oracle - a natural side effect.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: If Kakei could have carried a bigger gun into the OCT with her, she would have.
  • Split Personality: Mia has another personality that resides inside his mind, called 'Rei'. There is a third personality, but his identity is unknown.
  • Tell Me About My Father: Rent protects Aaron as a promise he made to Aaron's father many years ago, before he dissapeared. They entered the Tower Tournament in hopes of finding him.
  • Tentacle Hair: Kakei's "hair" is composed of many tiny antenae that serve the practical purpose of picking up changes in air pressure.
  • Universal Driver's License: Shikyo seems capable of flying a helicopter... until she crashed it besides the Tower.
  • Walking Armory: Aengus carries four guns, a light sword, and a 400 lb. rocket launcher.
  • Wonder Twin Powers: Helen is strong on her own, but becomes more powerful when she fuses with Avi.
  • Wrench Wench: Kakei is an all-purpose mechanic, but more specifically builds guns.
  • Youkai: A notable feature of the duo, Shikyo's listed as a bakeneko (Monster cat) and Jack is listed as a bakeinu (Monster dog). Thing is neither seem very powerful in the magic department. In their audition, their perky bartender "Nai" points out that all sorts of youkai exist in their dimension.
