Wings is a cancelled web-animation series by Renn Werewolf. There are only two
episodes.
Wings features a species known as the "wolfiin", which are essentially technicolour wolves. One wolfiin, Dawn, is born with wings. This makes her ostracized amongst the other wolfiin in her village.
One night, while sitting at her favorite cliff, Dawn spots a shooting star that crashes into Mount. Unity. Dawn sets out on a journey to visit the crash site so that she can earn the respect of her fellow villagers. While there, she fights a monster and comes across another wolfiin named "Comet".
Wings provides examples of:
- Call a Rabbit a "Smeerp": Wolfiin are just smarter, brightly colored talking wolves.
- Civilized Animal: The wolfiin are non-bipedal wolves who have their own society.
- All of the Other Reindeer: Dawn has no friends and is bullied for her wings.
- Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Wolfiin are brightly coloured wolves. Even most of those with more grounded colour schemes still have impossible ones for wolves.
- Friendless Background: Dawn has no friends due to bullying.
- Furry Female Mane: Most female characters have hair and most males simply have tufts, though there are exceptions. For example, Dawn has blue hair.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Dawn has red eyes. She's actually not dangerous, but it accentuates her image as "other".
- The Runaway: Dawn runs away from home in the middle of the night to go to Mount. Unity.
- Self-Harm: In the first episode, Dawn gets upset at herself for having wings and bites one of her wings.
- Somewhere, a Mammalogist Is Crying: Wolves don't have retractable claws.
- World of Funny Animals: The dominant species seems to be the wolfiin.
