The lowest budget film in movie-making history. But that didn't stop it from being a hell of an object show.

"The Object Show Movie" (TOSM) is the first movie based on a multitude of web series within the Object Show Community (OSC) created by PotatoOfAwesome.

The movie was announced on 30 September 2014 and released its first part nearly a year later on 5 September 2015. It then followed up with part 2 on 19 October 2016 before going on an indefinite hiatus. After many years of little to no activity regarding TOSM, an official/redone prologue for the movie has been released on October 21, 2020.

The movie features the main protagonist named Door, who wants to commemorate the OSC's 5th anniversary with an ambitious feature-length film. During the process of making his movie, Door gets captured and locked up by a gang of conspiracy theorists, preventing him from finishing it.

Brace yourself before watching the movie here.

The movie contains the following tropes

  • A Dog Named "Dog": Object Shows, in general, tend to have characters with names indicating their object. For example, in the movie, there's a shield named Shield, and a sock named Sock.
  • Animate Inanimate Object:
  • Anthropomorphic Food: Hm, I could go for some Chicken Leg, Cheese Orb, Corny right about now. Fruitcake? Not so much.
  • Anyone Can Die:
  • Armless Biped: Two female contestants, Green Ball and Random Picture Of A Cat.
  • Comic-Book Time: The movie was meant to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of object shows, which came and went in 2015. The second part would only release in 2016, but takes place immediately after the first one. By the release of its (possible) third part, it will have been at least 5 years since the release of TOSM part 1.
  • Darker and Edgier: The Object Show Movie was somewhat controversial when it released because it featured extensive swearing and gore. While swearing and gore are becoming increasingly common in object shows today, it was practically unheard of at the time. Speaking of unheard of, it was one of the first object shows to not have any means of recovery so when someone dies, they are gone forever.
  • Guest Fighter: The Announcer, MePhone4, Window, Gamey, and Remote join Door in escaping the base of the conspiracy theorists.
  • Multi-Part Episode: The movie is released in several parts over the course of 5 years and it still hasn't got to the climax.
  • Two Girls to a Team: After Random Picture Of A Cat dies, the two female contestants left are Shield and Green Ball.
