The 2b2t Chronicles is a YouTube series that started in August 2020 that takes place within the popular game Minecraft. More specifically, it takes place on the popular anarchy server 2b2t in which there are absolutely no rules.
The story is set in 2013, when the server was 2-3 years old, and follows the events surrounding three characters: Main02, Sheriff_Motch, and Rossi. Amusing side characters crop up from time to time and many plot events surround the appearances of actual players who played on 2b2t at the time. The series as a whole is very character-focused, with historical 2b2t events usually serving to advance the plot or give depth to the setting rather than being the main focus.

2b2t Chronicles contains examples of:
- Blue-and-Orange Morality: Played with. The series takes place on an anarchy server, where actions such as griefing, killing, duping, and hacking are not universally seen as inherently immoral by most players and everyone seems to have a different idea of what it means to spend their time on the server.
- Book Smart: Astr0, who is very knowledgable about the mechanics of Minecraft and talented at building redstone machinery.
- Campfire Character Exploration: Happens quite a bit in season two, usually for flashbacks.
- Chase Scene: The nether chase sequence in Episode 3.
- Deadpan Snarker: Usually Sheriff_Motch or Astr0, such as when Sheriff and Main first meet Rossi or Astr0's responses to many of InsaneBeach's wacky statements.
- Deconstructed Character Archetype: While griefers in other Minecraft machinima series are usually antagonists, Sheriff_Motch is a somewhat sympathetic deuteragonist that undergoes a lot of character development throughout the series.
- Dirty Cop: In-game, "Sheriff"_Motch loves setting things on fire and blowing up bases with TNT.
- Ditzy Genius: InsaneBeach does not understand even basic rules of Minecraft such as the benefits of fishing and wearing armor, but proves himself to be arguably the quickest and most creative builder out of the main characters after building a massive mansion near the end of season one.
- Foil:
- Main02 and Sheriff_Motch. Main is friendly, likes to build, and is represented by the color red while Sheriff is distant, prone to griefing, and is represented by the color blue.
- Astr0 and InsaneBeach. Astr0 is an intelligent nerd with a grounded and serious attitude whose dialogue is represented by purple text. Beach is a goofy dudebro with an optimistic view of the world whose dialogue is represented by yellow text.
- Freudian Trio: The three main characters.
- The Id: Sheriff_Motch, who often lets his destructive impulses get the better of him.
- The Ego: Rossi, who tries to mediate between the other two.
- The Superego: Main02, who simply wants to play by the rules, build peacefully, and make friends.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Astr0 can build complex redstone machines.
- Generic Cop Badges: Being a character in a Minecraft machinima series, Sheriff_Motch has the most generic cop badge possible in the form of a handful of yellow pixels.
- Griefer: Sheriff_Motch. Unlike griefers in most stories however, he's one of the protagonists.
- Mentor Archetype: xcc2 in Episode 2, teaching Main02 and Sheriff_Motch about the server. Also Rossi in general giving life advice to the two main characters.
- My Greatest Failure: It is revealed that Rossi had driven away his friends by griefing their base in a flashback episode before season two's finale.
- Never Bareheaded: Sheriff_Motch's Minecraft skin sports a permanent police hat.
- Sunglasses at Night: InsaneBeach wears sunglasses no matter what time it is in-game. A variation also exists with Astr0, who wears a pair of red and blue 3D glasses.
