"Welcome to Tear Factor!"
"Tear Factor" is a webtoon from Looney Tunes that features Daffy Duck, Sylvester Cat, Yosemite Sam and Granny, where the earlier three gets tested on their sadness. It is a spoof of Fear Factor."Tear Factor" provides examples of:
- The Cameo: Dr. Moron and Taz in the introduction.
- Dangerously Close Shave: The electric razor challenge involves this:
- Sylvester simply scares the razor off.
- Daffy's head is almost shaved clean, but he simply acts like an army instructor.
- Sam's moustache is shaved clean off, resulting in him crying as it took him 20 years to grow it.
- Eat That: One challenge involves biting into sandwiches with unpalatable fillings:
- Daffy gets a sandwich with a jalapeño in it. All that does is result in the below trope.
- Sam gets a sandwich with a grub in it. He's unfazed by eating it.
- Sylvester gets a finger sandwich, which unknown to him was made with his own finger. He cries in pain after biting into it.
- Fire-Breathing Diner: After Daffy ate the super-hot jalapeño sandwich, he breathed fire at Granny.
- Game Show Host: Granny.
- Multiple Endings: In the original interactive version, each of the three endings could be achieved by leaving one of the three characters as the winner.
- If Yosemite Sam won, he cried in joy saying that he never won anything before his whole life. This ending appears in the DVD version.
- If Sylvester won, he gets a trip around the world, but instead ends up trapped sobbing in a cage inside the luggage compartment of a plane.
- If Daffy won, he won a trip to a hot springs resort and spa but got tricked into going to a poultry plucker, making him cry.
- Mystery Box: One challenge involves this. Unlike most examples, the contents were always the same.
- Sam gets bombarded by snakes but he simply eats one.
- Sylvester is eaten by a python. He simply states he is not crying.
- Daffy gets bitten by green snakes and then is subjected to the below trope.
- Shout-Out: Daffy's loss contains homages to Raiders of the Lost Ark.
- Tastes Like Chicken: Said by Sam after he eats a snake and a grub sandwich.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Said by Daffy after he was bitten by green snakes.
