Sonic GX is a sprite animation made by Hurricane 5000. It's mostly a crossover between Sonic X, Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic GX contains examples of:
- 20 Minutes into the Future: This series takes place shortly after the end of the Metarex Saga from Sonic X.
- Adaptational Heroism: Naugus has no malevolent intent whatsoever.
- Adaptational Villainy: Tekno is evil in this series, but this may be because Hurricane 5000 never read Sonic the Comic.
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Mecha Sonic betrays Eggman after he uses the Eclipse Cannon to power himself up.
- Call-Back: When discussing about romance, Chris mentions Cosmo.
- Death by Adaptation: Apparently, this happens to Nicole.
- Demonic Possession: In episode 7, two demons possess Sally and Rouge.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Amy's Face–Heel Turn is obviously a reference to people who'd kill for their ship and bash any character that come in the way of their ship.
- Face–Heel Turn: Amy does this, solely because Sonic ended up with Sally.
- Heroic BSoD: Sally has one when Nicole is killed.
- Relationship Upgrade: At the end of episode 8, Sonic and Sally have The Big Damn Kiss. The only problem is, they did it right under Amy's eyes.
- Shout-Out:
- Metal Sonic upgrades himself, then revolts against Eggman and causes a Class-5 Apocalypse onto (a version of) Mobius. Is this Super Mario Bros. Z? Oh, yeah, there are NO Mario characters!
- At one point in episode 8, Sonic attacks a robot using Za Warudo, then Dio crushes said robot with a Road Roller. Fans were quick to point out this scene.
- Would Hurt a Child: Chris is STILL a kid in this series, much to everyone's confusion. Meaning that Bunnie's way to prevent Chris from preventing Sonic and Sally's date (Bunnie knocks Chris away) counts as this. Of course, since nobody likes Chris, nobody cares about that.
