Contains the following tropes:

  • A Dog Named "Dog": Or rather "An Object Named Object".
  • Accidental Misnaming: In the first episode, Pirate Hook tried triggering the trope for their team's name as seen by them snickering at the suggestions of "Not Crap" and "Something Different From Theirs" but nothing happens on both occasions. They become very disappointed with the actual and nonsensical name when he told Popcorn about Butter wanting to call their team "The Giant Peas 2 [Too]" as the other team.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: Plenty to choose from with Popcorn, Butter, Rotten Apple and Vegetable the Turnip/Zucchini/Broccoli/Bok Choy/Carrot (Since their design was never finalized).
  • Armless Biped: Map is an inverse example, has arms, no legs but can fly, like the character he's based on.
  • Coloring in the World: In "Okay What About The Hill, Bill?" the challenge is to paint the world's blank white background to give it some color.
  • Depending on the Artist: While the art style varies from creator to creator, a standout example would be Vegetable having gone through the most design changes as their name was deliberately left vague on what type of vegetable they are.
  • Depending on the Writer: Each episode was written and animated by a different person with no prior knowledge of what the other has done apart from the contestants and elimination order. This would lead to a lot of inconsistency with storylines and characterization.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Episode 5 has CD stupidly running away at the elimination ceremony and therefore quitting the game when it turned out Pirate Hook was the one to actually get the boot but was saved. It was not until their Confession Cam did CD realise their mistake.
  • Non-Indicative Name: None of the episodes start in November as it was long gone before the show even premiered. The title actually refers to the month when the idea for the show was conceived and even then only three out of ten OSC creators had actually animated their episodes in November.
  • One-Steve Limit: In the first episode, all three teams were named "The Giant Peas" due to some miscommunication.
  • Recurring Character: Nutty the sunflower seed who is seen in the credits as the only recommended character and appeared in the finale in the show proper.
