- Arranged Marriage: Akane and Takahiro were arranged to be married by their parents. The two did not have any interest for each other, and Akane's maid Aoi immediately distrusted Takahiro. Aoi decided to check up on him, but Takahiro ended up falling in love with her.
- Bad Boss: Hodaka's boss kept mistreating him and rejecting his proposals calling them boring. He eventually fired Hodaka, but his two juniors quit with him. They eventually managed to make a game so popular that the boss tries to ask the three back, but Hodaka turned him down.
- Japanese Delinquent: Ruiko Shinobu is the head of a gang. So is protagonist Shinichi Honda, but he retired by the time the story takes place. Though when Ruiko was threatened by a guy who she beat up, Shinichi was able to deflect him.
