RObotzi is a Romanian animated web series created by the channel "CreativeMonkeysArmy", premiering January 20th, 2011. The cartoon follows the lives of two robots named MO and FOCA who were the first "small" robots created in Romania, and whose glory days ended once the "great" robots appeared. Now they are guarding a warehouse belonging to the National Robotics Institute.
This webseries provides examples of:
- Alien Episode: In an episode MO and FOCA are kidnapped by some tiny robotic aliens who attempt to suck out their intelligence.
- The Alcoholic: MO is obsessed with alcohol. In fact the reason behind his rusty design is because he drinks too much.
- Ball-Balancing Seal: FOCA's name is an acronym that forms the Romanian word for "the seal". This is often joked in the series. At one point in the short named "Episodul 3.14ZDA", FOCA balances a ball on his head and makes seal noises.
- Enemies with Death: MO and FOCA were originally enemies with the Grim reaper. However they befriended him at the end of the episode.
- Fun with Acronyms: FOCA's name is actually an Acronym for "Fabricat Original Cu Aluminiu" (Made Originally With Alluminium) which forms the word "Foca" which is Romanian for "the Seal" which is often lampshaded by MO.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip: In one episode, MO and FOCA go to the roof during a thunder storm. They are both stroke by lighting which causes them to switch bodies.
- Friendly Address Privileges: One episode features a ninja with a long and complicated name who's friends call him "Gaspar" but he has no friends.
- Gender Flip: In one episode we are introduced to MONA and FOCA, MO and FOCA's female versions.
- Glitch Episode: In the second episode, "Defect", Mo seemingly glitches out when he starts repeating "A pink iron dick with lights" and "OMFG" for no reason while his eyes become red. F.O.C.A. spends the episode "fixing" Mo. At the end of the episode, Mo starts repeating what he has said earlier again, but this time it turns out that he did see what he described.
- Katanas Are Just Better: MO's weapon of choice is a Katana.
- Laser Blade: Death has a laser scythe similar to a light saber.
- One episode has MO lie to FOCA that one of his inventions was stolen by "the Stealing Squirrel" which has a lightsaber.
- Pirates vs. Ninjas: In an episode MO and FOCA have a fantasy where FOCA was a pirate in search for a treasure while MO was a Ninja guarding the treasure.
- Rewatch Bonus: In the "Freaky Friday" Flip episode, when they switch bodies trough another spark of electricity you can see that the electricity forms the words "Muie PSD" (blow us PSD) a reference to the political climate in Romania at the time
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: The Fluffy Thing is a white ball of fur with huge eyes that causes Mo a Cuteness Overload reaction.
- Sea Monster: A giant sea serpent attack MO and FOCA when they were on a fishing trip.
- Shout-Out: The show makes many references to other shows, games or movies.
- In the episode "Speis", MO sarcastically calls FOCA "Pickard".
- The lightsaber appear several times.
- MO cosplays Drogo and Ned Stark in the episode 'Comic'.
- Shut Up, Scary Thing!: At the end of the episode MO and FOCA hack the sea serpent's brain and MO uses it in order to threaten the saleswoman at the bakery to give him free savarins. However she is not scared by it and instead she tells it to get out.
- We Want Our Idiot Back!: In one episode MO becomes very smart thanks to one of FOCA's inventions. FOCA hates the new MO because he's too arrogant so he decides to bring him back to normal
- Try to Fit That on a Business Card: The aforementioned ninja's name is "The Great Ninja Master Cold Shadow Morning Raven Claw Ice Eye Steel Heart Light Arrow Fists of Jade Crane Leg the Invisible Fury".
