Wasabi!

Paintspot Infez is a YouTube channel run by an animator of the same fake name filled with animations, songs, and videos.

A few of Infez's uploaded videos are old animations made during childhood, some of which even the creator agrees how awful they are. Infez's old animations normally feature the character of "Paintspot," an animated caricature of childhood Infez (and is equally as cringey as his former self).

    General

  • All There in the Manual: The Wikia.
  • Amateur Cast: Definitely, for the first few videos. Gosh, Spot was annoying.
  • Another Dimension: Yup. A lot of them, and confirmed by Word of God. "Paintspot" explores various dimensions for things to happen, and each has its own 8-digit number (16,777,216 in total) and RGB hexadecimal code. Oh boy.
    • Paintspot's home is 00000001 (or O-1), Color World is 02552550, Gravity Falls is 12618618 (12-618), the Real World is 00000000etc.
      • Each dimension, similar to Rick and Morty, also has its own Paintspot. O-1's Spot is this Paintspot, 02552550's is Turquoise, and O (the Real World) has "the animator" as their Spot.
  • Author Avatar: Paintspot by far.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Done all the time. In early animations, characters sometimes even interact with the scrapped "dimension number" idea in the corner, or reference them being in an animation.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The character "Paintspot" (without the deadpan) and the real-life Infez (with the deadpan).
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • The QOTD changes to "Who the heck is Hank?" in "Color Race 1" and "Miss-tery" as a Shout-Out to the VlogBrothers
  • Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Every video's title ends with " - π", Infez's apparent signature (presumably with "pi" standing for Paintspot Infez).
  • The Multiverse: Totally, and confirmed by Word of God. Paintspot explores various dimensions for things to happen, and each has its own 8-digit number (16,777,216 in total) and RGB hexadecimal code. Oh boy.
    • Paintspot's home is 00000001 (or O-1), Color World is 02552550, Gravity Falls is 12618618 (12-618), the Real World is 00000000 (O), etc.
      • Each dimension, similar to Rick and Morty, also has its own Paintspot. O-1's Spot is this Paintspot, 02552550's is Turquoise, and O (the Real World) has "the animator" as their Spot.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The QOTD briefly changes to "Who the heck is Hank?" as a Shout-Out to the VlogBrothers in "Color Race 1" and "Miss-tery".

     Color Race

Tropes specific to "Color Race 1: WHICH COLOR IS THE BEST? - π":

  • Amateur Cast: Yep. Most characters in "Color Race" are voiced by Infez, who at the time had a terrible microphone and an annoying voice.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: The colors in "Color Race."
  • Author Avatar: Paintspot by far. He even hosts the show!
  • Berserk Button:
    • Offending Yellow (who, at one point, has a literal button) in any way.
  • Bittersweet Ending / Cliffhanger / Downer Ending / Hilarity Ensues / Left Hanging "Color Race 1." Yellow steals the Crown, kidnaps the contestants and Spot, becomes the new host, and all hope is lost while Spot gives his "like, comment, and subscribe" speech still held in captivity. But Spot can still temporarily leave to make videos at least. "The End... question mark?"
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The weird Pac-Man-esque scene where Blue, and the eliminated contestants still in the Color Wheel, are chasing Yellow (and later a situation reversal in which Yellow holds all of the contestants and Spot captive).
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Done all the time. Some of the characters sometimes even interact with the "dimension number" in the corner, or reference them being in an animation.
  • Butt-Monkey: Paintspot himself and Yellow.
  • Crossdressing Voices: Paintspot Infez (a guy) as Yellow (a girl).
  • Devil in Plain Sight / Most Definitely Not a Villain: Yellow with an "Awesome Face" mask that never blinks, talks, or moves, and bizarre glitching.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: After Blue fails to mention her in his acceptance speech, Yellow glitches out, removes her mask, breaks the Color Wheel, and traps all the contestants and Spot forever.
  • Dramedy: Color Race.
  • Evil All Along: Yellow. It was kinda obvious though.
  • Evil Laugh: Yellow in "Color Race 1." Muahahaha!
  • Franchise Killer: Gosh, it was awful. So awful that it was never really worth the time to fix it or finish its planned sequels.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • The QOTD briefly changes to "Who the heck is Hank?" as a Shout-Out to the VlogBrothers.
    • An inverse-colored hand appears in Paintspot's portal for a split second. Whose hand is it?!
    • Paintspot switches to Turquoise, a character who wouldn't even appear until Color Race 2!
  • Gravity Is a Harsh Mistress: Most Color Race contestants bounce around in odd patterns during the competition, especially Blue and Green in the Final 2.
  • Ghost Planet: In "Color Race 1's" post-credit scene, the barren and space-looking "Dimension O-2." What does it mean?
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Red.
  • Kudzu Plot: Gosh, by far. Even Infez admits how awfully complicated this plot is.
  • Ominous Visual Glitch: Yellow.
  • Only Six Faces / Cast of Snowflakes: Color Race, kind of. They're all different colors, and have distinguishing features (Blue's sunglasses, Orange's freckles and "stem," Yellow's... face). But still, they're all colored blobs with limbs and smiley faces.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Green: Green in "Color Race 1" after asking if Yellow is technically the host after Spot was captured.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Yellow, with an "Awesome Face" mask that never blinks, talks, or moves.
  • Sarcasm Mode: Paintspot, after "thanking" Green after he asked if Yellow is technically the host after Spot was captured.
  • Sequel Hook / The Stinger / To Be Continued: The post-credits scene of Paintspot being exiled to the barren "Dimension O-2." What does it mean?
  • Shout-Out:
    • The QOTD briefly changes to "Who the heck is Hank?" as a Shout-Out to the VlogBrothers.
    • The Color Wheel Button has a striking resemblance to Willy the Wheel from Trivia Crack.
    • There is a Pac-Man-esque chase sequence between Yellow and Blue.
  • Stillborn Franchise: Color Race is definitely one of these, especially with its Title 1 and Cliffhanger Sequel Hook.
  • Title 1: Too bad 2 and 3 were never really made.
  • Uncertain Doom: What happened to all the contestants after Yellow holds everyone captive? What happens to Spot when he's exiled to Dimension O-2?
  • "What Now?" Ending: The cliffhanger ending of "Color Race 1," left hanging by Orange's mention of this, in-universe.
Orange: "It's more like, 'The End... question mark?'"
