Five Nights at Freddy's is a fan animated series of Five Nights at Freddy's created by Maty Recret and released on September 17, 2017. Its premise is inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's: The Stories. The series ran for 5 seasons from 2017 to 2023.
Tropes in the series include:
- Abandoned Area: Freddy Fazbear's Pizza II has been abandoned during Season 4 as this takes place after its destruction earlier that season.
- Author Avatar: Maty's character is based off his animator of the same name.
- Bad Future: Freddy dreams of one in "Mysterious Dream" seeing that the Rockstar animatronics replaced him and his friends.
- Berserk Board Barricade: To make sure that Golden Freddy and Puppet don't make it to Springtrap, he barricades the door before they could escape the basement.
- Bolivian Army Cliffhanger: Season 2 ends with Freddy Fazbear's Pizza III blowing up and Fazbear's Fright opens.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: GLaDOS manages to take control of Bonnie and uses him to attack Lolbit and captures her.
- Brought Down to Normal: The Season 5 episode "Chaos Between Darkness 1" reveals that during the events of Season 2 when Springtrap barricaded the door, Golden Freddy and Puppet had their powers disabled due to Shadow Freddy.
- Christmas Episode: The Season 5 episode "Classic Memory" is set on Christmas.
- Decoy Getaway: Golden Freddy and Puppet head into the basement to fight Springtrap only to find out that the real one had escaped and eventually attacks everyone else in the building. They eventually realize that they were fighting a decoy. In Season 5, this was revealed to be caused by Lefty's Axe being used by Shadow Freddy.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: When the series was first created, the series had much more faster movements and very choppy animation.
- Evil Counterpart: Bonnie has an alternate version of himself that works for GLaDOS.
- Heel–Face Turn:
- Ennard explains to Maty that he was his lost best friend and he then finishes his war by blowing himself up.
- Evil Bonnie and Blaire become friends with Golden Freddy during Season 5 as seen in "Intense Meeting".
- Help Yourself in the Future: Golden Freddy time travels to the events of Season 1 so his past versions of his friends can help him.
- Nightmare Sequence:
- Henry's son has one at the beginning of "Mercilessly 2".
- Freddy has one in "Mysterious Dream" which shows his friends killed and being replaced with the Rockstar animatronics.
- Bonnie has the same nightmare in "Mysterious Tips". It was the same dream that Henry's son had in Season 4.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Henry's daughter says that she had enough and she leaves the building before Springtrap manages to attack the animatronics again.
- Synthetic Voice Actor: All of the animatronics in the series are provided with Speakonia voices.
- Trash the Set:
- Freddy Fazbear's Pizza III gets destroyed at the end of Season 2 after Springtrap attacked the animatronics and the building later exploded when officers arrived.
- Freddy Fazbear's Pizza II meets the same fate as the third locations when Ennard tries to destroy the place with the animatronics still inside.
- Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Henry's daughter feels scared when she sees Mangle but she says that she wouldn't bite her.
