- Evil Is Petty: Diddy’s motivation was simply out of revenge for Luigi not paying his rent and wanting his life insurance policy.

- The Dog Was the Mastermind: Turns out the one to poison Luigi was Diddy Kong, Lugi’s own landlord.
- The End... Or Is It?: The series ends with Luigi seemingly succumbing to his wounds after being shot by Mario and/or the Blue Shells. However, despite this, after the end card pops up, a 1-Up sound is heard, suggesting Luigi may not be done yet, same can be said with the series.
- Pink Is Erotic: Wario's bar and strip club is decorated with pink sofas and lighting.
- Uncertain Doom: Luigi possibly succumbs to his wounds from the fight with Mario, Wario, Peach and Toad or from the poison, however, it’s implied the story is not over yet.
