Following the close of a galaxy-spanning war, the members of FIXER, a slapdash special forces team, are no longer needed. Washed up and no longer having a purpose, they now find themselves sent on useless mission after useless mission. They pass their time by complaining and doing whatever they can to stave off boredom. However, on this newest assignment they slowly and unwittingly begin to uncover a strange mystery. Each member will be tested -whether by sheer monotony and boredom of military life or else by the unfathomable dangers lurking just beneath...

"CRASH" is a Machinima Dramedy series created by Creator "B00mrang" published to Youtube. The Series follows FIXER team, a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits that are currently in charge of fixing up a Damaged Missile Silo in the Voi Exclusion Zone.

Episodes generally follow a non-standard release Format, although B00mrang is very communicative in terms of his Progress Updates and such.

Tropes appearing in this series:

  • The Alcoholic: Duke, to the point that the team has been trying to make him cut back. According to Pops, they've at least got him down to just weekends.
  • Army Scout: Crash acts as both the team's scout and tracker, although most of the time he’s acting as the base’s sentinel.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Definitely applies to SAMMIE, the Automated Sentry Turret that guards the Facility that FIXER team is in charge of.
  • Ax-Crazy: SAMMIE would love nothing more than to perforate anyone or anything that crosses its path with bullets.
  • Butt-Monkey: Peanut tends to get the most slapstick and injuries thrown his way.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: Things start out fairly lighthearted with comedy akin to Red vs. Blue. Then comes Episode 3 when individual members of the team start witnessing strange phenomena. Things only get worse when Target suddenly goes missing and Crash and Pops come across the body of a marine sergeant reported KIA weeks before the start of the series.
  • Cloudcuckoolander:
    • Peanut is often not on the same page, or even in the same library, as everyone else.
    • A very downplayed case with Target, who despite his stories of his unusual home life is a lot more down-to-earth and levelheaded than Peanut.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Each member of FIXER uses a set color to denote who they are, though many have the same White Markings on their Armor to denote their association as part of FIXER, all except Wes who uses White as his main color.
  • Cool Old Guy: Pops is the oldest of the team and their leader, but is usually laid back and genial.
  • Dr. Jerk: Wes tends to be very abrasive towards his patients, mostly because the base he was working at before FIXER picked him up was filled with idiotic soldiers with drinking problems. The only person that he isn’t this to seems to be Lilly, his sort-of assistant.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Duke likes to give these to new recruits based on something stupid they say or do. Complaining about it just prompts him to come up with something even worse, which according to Crash is how Peanut ended up with his.
  • The Faceless: By virtue of being a Machinima
  • Hero of Another Story: Their story takes place in the same universe as Halo, taking place roughly around the time-frame immediately after the conclusion of the Human-Covenant War in Halo, with references to things like the Swords Of Sangheilios in Episode 5, and the Setting being on the outside of the Voi Exclusion Zone.
  • Jack of All Trades: Peanut has quite a few skills under his belt, which apparently is from him usually being assigned to fix the things he complains about.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Crash tends to be the most aloof out of the cast, but does have a caring side as shown during his interactions with Target.
  • Large Ham: Peanut, so much that he manages to overload the surveillance cameras’ audio receptors by shouting at the top of his lungs.
  • Made of Iron: Duke once drunkenly and accidentally drank chlorine powder thinking it was drink mix. According to Pops and to Wes' disbelief, he came out of it just fine and never even had to get his stomach pumped.
  • Manchild:
    • Duke often acts like an alcoholic fratboy who's eager to blow stuff up or do anything to alleviate his boredom.
    • Peanut is prone to behaving like a hyperactive five-year-old with a very short attention span, and that’s not even getting into all his weird beliefs and interests.
    • Averted for the most part with Target, who despite his inexperience and innocence is rather mature and knows when to take things seriously.
  • Nice Guy / Nice Girl:
    • Target doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body, as he gets along with everyone pretty well.
    • Lilly is just as if not arguably moreso than him, to the point where even Duke isn't compelled to act obnoxious towards her (at least when he's not drunk).
  • Noodle Incident:
    • Crash used to be a Pilot for the UNSC, but lost his Pilot's License in an Unnamed Piloting Accident that is briefly mentioned by some of the other members.
    • The "failed mission with the elephant", which Duke insists is Peanut’s fault.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Invoked by Duke when giving Target his nickname.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: FIXER used to be more active during the war, until peace had them reduced to doing various odd jobs for the military. However, that doesn't mean there isn't the possibility of running into potential dangers as Crash points out.
  • Sixth Ranger:
    • Target was recruited prior to the series to replace the last member FIXER lost.
    • Lilly and Wes join the cast in Episode 4.
  • The Smart Guy: Izzy is the most tech-savvy of the team.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Duke is FIXER's explosives expert.
  • Vague Age: In-universe example. Peanut doesn't know how old he actually is. His guess is that he's around eighty, which Crash highly doubts. Apparently, he never got a birth certificate due to being raised by a hippie mother who told him that "dates are random numbers the man uses to keep us down and quantify our time", and the only reason he was allowed to enlist in the army was because the recruiters never asked him for one because of the ongoing war at the time.
  • World of Snark: Almost everyone is prone to firing sarcastic quips at each other.
