She's Chelsea, and this is her blog.

A YouTube Machinima Series created by diamonnddx with The Sims 3 (you can watch it here), being the central main story from all the miniseries from the autor (somehow all the other short series are connected to Anon from any side).

The plot follows Chelsea Clark, an ordinary socially awkward girl, who has a crush on the cute football star from her school Kyle Weston. We follow her as she tells to the audience all her week through her blog, signed as "Anon". All starts to get more interesting when Tucker Martinez, the rebelious hot guy, appears.

We get to know more characters: Amanda (Chelsea's best friend), Dani (Chelsea's cousin), her parents, Taylor (Kyle and Tucker's ex-girlfriend), Angela and Dan (Chelsea's parents), and many more.

There's also a Tumblr and the Novel

Currently there's also a spin-off/parallel remake Chelsea, based on diamonnddx's second book.

Anon contains examples of these tropes:

  • Abhorrent Admirer:
    • Connor (and quite frankly everyone else) is heavily disturbed by Vivian's massive crush on him, which went to lengths as far as her sleeping in his bed in a bikini.
    • Kyle is clearly exhausted by Roxy's clingy nature.
  • Absurdly Youthful Mother:
    • Played straight for Angela. Taken to extreme levels for Season 6. The timeskip was barely 17 years and most of the original cast looks the same.
    • Chelsea, Dani, Kandi, Parker, and in fact most of the mothers in the show minus Mrs. Martinez also apply to this.
  • Abusive Parents: Dani’s mother Amy forced her to get an abortion when she got pregnant at age 16, this scared Amy for life.
  • Alpha Bitch: Taylor in highschool. Also Miranda's friends.
  • Always Identical Twins: Tucker tries at first very hard to avoid mentioning Hunter, until his Ascended Extra status kicked in.
  • Amicable Exes:
    • Chelsea tries to be this with both Tucker and Kyle.
    • Completely averted with Angela and Dan, Chelsea's parents.
    • Subverted with Taylor and Tucker. Even thought everyone knows Taylor is a Gold Digger who is still obsessed with Tucker, he still tries to be nice to her and support her.
    • Dani and Ian.
    • Later played straight with Kyle and Kandi.
    • invokedWord of God states Hunter and Dani become this during Jax's upbringing. Confirmed in season 6.
  • Asshole Victim: Connor completely beats Ryan to a pulp when Ryan reacts negatively to Candace's pregnancy.
  • Babies Make Everything Better:
    • Invoked by Chelsea's diary, where she describes all her insecurities when she found out she was pregnant, and later everything becomes good after Candace is born.
    • This also applies to Candace herself when she gets pregnant. She spends most of her pregnancy feeling miserable and even hints at one point that she doesn't plan on keeping the baby, all topped off with a kidnapping drama and Ryan breaking up with her. However towards the end of her pregnancy Candace warms to the idea of having a baby, and once little Giselle is born she's absolutely besotted with her.
  • Badass in Distress:
    • Season 4 gives us the hostage situation, where Hunter is tied, Tucker is stranded to a chair, while Sam wants to marry him at gunpoint.
  • Bad Liar: Candace is a notoriously terrible liar, especially for a Martinez. Proven when she lies to Tucker about spending the night with Ryan by claiming she was at Vivian's house watching a "Leonardo Di Caprio" movie. The lie falls apart when Candace is unable to specify a movie.
  • Be Yourself: Ian is fine as long as Dani doesn't change her personality.
    • When Candace considers dying her hair blonde and losing weight to appear more attractive to Ryan, in a rare moment of sibling solidarity, Connor straight up tells her that she doesn't have to change herself for anyone.
  • Beach Episode:
    • Tucker and Hunter's sister got married at the beach house and Chelsea and Dani get invited.
    • Season 6 gives us a family vacation to Isla Paradiso (Also to show us the new expansion).
    • Season 8 gives us the music festival episode, where the entire family (minus Candace) end up inviting themselves along on Miranda and Arianna's trip.
    • Season 10 ends up being an entire beach SEASON when the creator moves the entire cast to the beach world of Sunlit Tides.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Chelsea and Tucker, before their Relationship Upgrade.
    • Dani and Hunter in the twenty years leading up to their eventual wedding.
  • Dana, Jax's latest hook-up looked like a nice girl at first, and turned out to steal Tucker's car, Candace's purses and cheat on her drug-abusive boyfriend with Jax.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: Chelsea almost had this phase.
    • In some extent, also Miranda in season 6.
  • Broken Bird: Dani In an extra is revealed she had an one-night stand with Bryce, Mia and Sparrow's ex-boyfriend, and got pregnant. Her mother made her abort the baby, and even Bryce never got a chance to give his thoughts on the matter.
  • Blatant Lies: Tucker is the king of this trope.
    • Let's add to it all the Martinez dads.
    • Ryan attempting to lie to Kyle that he stayed the night at Brandon's... after splashing out on a hotel room for him and Candace using Kyle's credit card.
  • The Cameo: Many from diamonnddx's other series:
    • Hayden and Aaron D'Marco from "Mr. Perfect".
    • Cheyene and Alice from "Faux".
    • Morgan and Tyler from "Forever".
    • Jess, Austin, Aubrey, and Zack from "The Attic". Notably, this cameo happened before "The Attic" even premiered.
    • On the flipside, some Anon characters appeared on The Better Half as well.
  • Call-Back / Continuity Nod:
    • Kyle is shown giving a girl private French lessons. That girl turns out to be Hayden, who in the "Mr. Perfect" finale got tickets to France, somehow.
    • We finally get to know what happened with Tyler after his break up with Claire from "Forever".
    • Cheyenne and Alice's relationship status is cleared in season 2 after being dropped in "Faux".
    • Kyle will NEVER let go of the time Chelsea stripped naked in his bedroom.
    • From Season 2 onwards, Chelsea and Tucker have a photobooth picture of them kissing hanging on her wall. After the timeskip, Candace has a very similar picture on her wall with Ryan.
  • Can't Hold His Liquor: Chelsea. Big time. She just has to vent all her anger to the wrong person after a few drinks.*
  • Chick Magnet:
  • While it's not shown much on screen, Hunter apparently had every girl at his private school wanting him, probably fuelled by his status as a massive man-whore.
  • Character Blog: The format of the series follows Chelsea writing her blog of the last events of her week.
  • From the Stalker with a Crush variant, he also have Roxy and Sam towards Kyle and Tucker, respectively.
  • Arianna. When she becomes jealous of Miranda and Ty's close relationship, she ends up outing Miranda as bisexual to her friends.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Discussed once when Evan went to visit Chelsea at her house. He knew Chelsea visited him at the hospital because his girlfriend described her as "The girl with the sailor's mouth".
  • Crusading Lawyer: Dan was determined to revoke Mr. D'Marco's teaching license to protect Chelsea from him. Understandable given that the guy hooked up with the teen who was seducing him with no resistance or whatsoever.
  • Disappeared Dad: Dani's (althought she says he calls for her birthdays, but never appears on-screen), and also Taylor's son's father.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Tucker lied to Sam so he could get her in bed when they were 16... She in exchange stalked him and Chelsea, kidnapped them and tried to marry Tucker at gunpoint. And to crown it, she spent the next 17 years obsessing over him to get an apology.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Sam and Roxy's kidnap attempt is foiled when they abandon their weapon on the table to make out with Tucker and Kyle.
  • Drowning My Sorrows: Chelsea does this twice.
    • The first time, Chelsea hit her mom in a drunken rage, much to her regret and her father's resentment for a while. Because of this, Chelsea herself decides going to therapy.
    • invoked The second time around, even Tucker calls her out of this, mixed with all her Wangst and eating disorders.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The Martinez family might have very extreme ways to get what they need to do, but even they have a rule against hurting women Unless those women are threatening the lives of their family, as both Sam and Lilly have found out.
  • Generation Xerox
    • Candace and Ryan's storyline was set to go this way in Season 6 and 7, with Candace being caught between Ryan and Logan (very similar to Chelsea with Kyle and Tucker). The curveball in Season 8 of Candace getting pregnant by Ryan and then being kidnapped by Logan kind of cuts this trope short.
    • Candace is held hostage in Season 8 at a motel in the middle of nowhere. Sound familiar? It's the exact same motel that Chelsea, Tucker, Hunter, and Kyle were kidnapped in during Season 4.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Hunter and his father. Tucker is still able to understand, but always answers in English.
  • Grew a Spine:
    • In Season 3, Kyle finally snaps back at Tucker after months of taking his crap.
    • Ryan also seems more willing to argue against the Martinez family by the end of the series.
  • Hero of Another Story: Some of the secondary characters and cameo appearances were the main characters from the other series:
    • Mia and Dani were the main characters in "Faux".
    • Before Season 5, Janelle and Jamie were the focus of "The Better Half".
  • Hypocrite:
    • Miranda accuses Candace of being self-centered and egotistic and calls herself as very humble.
    • Chelsea gets angry at Kyle for hanging out with another girl, when Kyle retorts that she hangs out with Tucker all the time, she responds by saying "That's different!".
  • It's All About Me: Miranda. See Hypocrite above.
    • Chelsea has moments of this in Season 1-5, by the time-skip she seemed to have mellowed out a little.
  • Jerkass: Taylor is the main jerkass of the first six seasons, and special mention goes out to Ryan's friend Alex, who berated him for getting Candace pregnant and then after their break-up tried to say that Candace "trapped" Ryan with a baby.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Lilly's reasoning for stalking Chelsea and impersonating her online is questionable to say the least, she completely hits the nail on the head when she points out that Chelsea was rather stupid to think that she could talk about people online on an anonymous blog while using everyone's real names and not get found out eventually.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Jax. He can be an asshole most of the time, but he really cares about his family and friends.
  • Just Friends:
    • The reason Chelsea breaks up with Kyle the first time around is because Kyle wouldn't admit they were dating in public.
    • Tucker and Kyle tried to be this with Chelsea afer their respective break-ups, but being Chelsea the way she is, it didn't work. At all.
    • Candace and Ryan's relationship at the start of Season 6. However by the end of the season the Relationship Upgrade kicks in.
  • Kaleidoscope Hair: Dani has gone by most of the colors and hairstyles possible, even referenced in the Season 7 finale when she admits her only New Years resolution is to dye her hair.
  • Lampshade Hanging: In season 6 episode 4, Dani comments how it feels like they all skipped to adulthood, followed by a ";)" for a second.
  • Language Fluency Denial: Dani tries this on many occasions. As she's married to a man who's first language is Spanish, it never works.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall:
    • Season 4 gives us this jewel:
Dani: (Stranded in the middle of the woods with Chelsea's family, Tucker and Hunter) This is the part of the season where you stop writing in your blog and something horrible happens to us, right?
    • "The Better Half" ends with a Sequel Hook for Anon Season 5, with Chelsea, Tucker, Dani and Hunter posing for the camera, announcing their turn is near.
    • In Season 10, when Dani, Chelsea, and Candace are discussing how glad they are that Candace didn't name her baby something dumb, like after a car like Mercedes or Porsche or after a precious stone like Ruby or Sapphire or Diamond, followed by a wink. The creator's name is Diamond.
  • Likes Older Men: Candace. Season 6 features her casually hanging out with a college boy named Logan, the age difference is constantly harped upon despite Logan only really being two years older than her. In Season 8, she's rescued from a kidnapping by Damian, a 22 year old man who she develops a romance with afterwards. Neither of these relationships work out as Candace always finds herself back with Ryan, who actually is the same age as her.
  • Ms. Fanservice:
    • Devyn, who was a professional model in her introduction, Kandi was a lingerie model, Miranda had really provocative bikinis in the beach episode.
    • Season 6 gives us Christine, who goes around the house in very revealing clothes.
  • Pair the Spares:
    • Amanda hooks up with Christian, Chelsea's date from the Speed Date. Althought it doesn't work as Amanda ends up marrying Brad in the timeskip prior to season 6.
    • Even Angela and Dan get this. Angela moves with a new boyfriend and his daughter and Dan marries Michelle.
  • Papa Wolf:
    • Dan is very protective towards Chelsea, reason why there's always tension between him and Kyle and Tucker (althought he prefers Kyle).
      • Later it's revealed that after the events of "Mr. Perfect", Dan tried to get D'Marco's teaching license revoked so he would not be near Chelsea. He almost lost his temper when he finds out D'Marco became Chelsea's college teacher.
    • Hunter becomes this, when He confronts Kyle afer Miranda and her friends get drunk at Ryan's Halloween party, and when he arranged with his father to take care of Taylor's boyfriend not becuase he was abusive towards Nate, but because the guy dared to threat Jax.
    • Dare to hurt Jax and you'll have to face Hunter, Tucker AND Antonio Martinez.
    • Ryan becomes this to an extent, refusing to let Giselle go anywhere near the Martinez family in Season 10. For someone who always seems to be afraid of the family, seeing Ryan grow a pair and stand up to them in the name of his daughter was quite admirable to see even if it was for all the wrong reasons.
  • Put on a Bus:
    • What happened to Logan still needs to be answered.
    • The Bus Came Back: Logan returns in season 6. And turns out Crazy-Sam is his sister.
  • "Reason You Suck" Speech: Lily delivers one towards Chelsea in Season 2 right after she's exposed as Chelsea's stalker, claiming that she's changed since meeting Kyle and Tucker and only cares about herself. While her actions are a little extreme, the fanbase and even Chelsea herself later on in the series admits that Lily actually had a point.
    • Kyle eventually grows a spine and delivers what can only be described as a verbal smackdown to Tucker during an argument at Chelsea's house, calling out his arrogant behavior and reminding him that he'd be nothing without his looks and wealth.
  • Recap Episode: Season 6 episode 9 had a bit of this when Candace and Ryan find Chelsea's blog and start recaping the last five seasons. The episode also fills the blanks from the long Time Skip.
  • Relationship Upgrade:
    • Chelsea and Tucker get married by Season 5 finale.
    • Dani and Hunter finally married after 19 years of Belligerent Sexual Tension and two kids.
  • Rescue Romance: Candace meets Damian this way, after Damian gets in the middle of her kidnapping. She asks for his name after the situation is over.
  • Single Girl Seeks Most Popular Guy: Applies to Chelsea towards Kyle from the first chapter.
  • Sir Swearsalot: Could apply to most - if not ALL - of the characters, but especially applies to Chelsea.
  • Spin-Offspring: Averted. The author intended this at first, but decided to continue the series with a 6th season, since Chelsea and the others are still on focus, only the kids are added to the main cast when they become teens.
  • Stalker with a Crush:
    • Roxy towards Kyle in Season 3. The Bus Came Back for Season 4.
    • Also Sam, who is obsessed with Tucker and harrased Chelsea for a long time, and later reunites Lilly and Roxy to get revenge on Chelsea in Season 4.
  • Stalker without a Crush: Lilly for Season 1 and Season 2. She's obsessed with popular people's social network and developes an obsesive hate of Chelsea, to the point of stalking her and making a blog on her every move. The Bus Came Back for Season 4.
  • The Stoner:
    • It's often commented Tucker and his friends have weed sometimes.
    • Also it's how Logan in season 6 looks like.
  • Straight Gay:
    • Trevor in Season 3. Kyle is oblivious to this.
    • As season 6, we get to know Nate is this and Jax already knew.
      Hunter: Wait. Nate is gay??
Jax: I told you like five times.
Hunter: I thought you were being a dick.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: All the Weston boys: Kyle, Ian, and later Ryan, all have the same face.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Connor. He's a skinny, lanky, often non-confrontational fifteen-year-old boy. Yet when Ryan reacts badly to Candace's pregnancy, Connor beats Ryan to a pulp effortlessly, even Chelsea finds it hard to believe that Connor did that much damage to Ryan.
  • Teen Pregnancy:
    • Dani got pregnant at age 16 from Bryce and her mother made her have an abortion.
    • Dani and Hunter conceived Jax at age 18.
    • In the finale of Season 7, Candace gets pregnant from Ryan, confirmed in Season 8.
  • Time Skip: Twice. First time in Season 5, episode 9, when Chelsea and Tucker decided to postpone the wedding two years. The second time was a 17 years skip to focus on the kids in their teenage years and the main characters in their parenthood lives.
  • Transparent Closet: For Jax, Dani and Hunter it was blatantly obvious Miranda was bi.
    • Averted with Nate, as Jax knows, but Hunter gets surprised by the news.
  • Trickster Twins: Tucker and Hunter.
    • By Hunter's word, Hunter is even more sly and devious than Tucker.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl:
    • Dani's Tomboy next to Mia, Amanda and Chelsea's Girly Girl.
    • Candace's Tomboy next to Miranda and Vivan's Girly Girl.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass:
    • Chelsea, even she herself is shocked by how much she has changed after meeting Kyle and Tucker.
    • Miranda by the Season 6 finale.
  • Took a Level in Kindness:
    • By the finale of Season 6, Tucker seems to have one of these, since he decides to make mends with Kyle for the sake of Candace and Ryan's new relationship.
    • Starting Season 8, Miranda starts redeeming herself after apologizing to Candace and coming out as bisexual.
  • The Unfavorite: Tucker. His father made him sacrifice his reputation so Hunter could go to a good school with a clean record.
  • Unwanted Harem: Chelsea attracts an unbelievable amount of guys, given she's supposed to be a stereotypical nerd. So far liking her we had Kyle, Tucker and Evan.
    • By the other hand, there's also Kyle. After his breakup with Chelsea, he started dating some other girls. Too bad Kyle has bad luck in relationships, thought.
    • Tucker also has a group of fans, ex-girlfriends and stalkers, being Sam the most prominent.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Tucker and Kyle become this for a while. But as always, they get back to rivals once Chelsea is in the middle again.
    • Tucker decides to make mends with Kyle for the sake of their kids' relationship.
  • Who's Your Daddy?: Season 8 throws this when Dani reveals she isn't sure if Jax's father is either Ian Weston or Hunter Martinez. While the plot is seemingly dropped when Jax refuses to take a DNA test, it's confirmed in Season 9 that Hunter was proven to be Jax's dad after all.
    • Season 5 introduces Taylor's son with an absent father, Chelsea begins to suspect that the baby is fathered by either Kyle or Tucker. As it turns out, the baby is fathered by neither, Taylor simply got pregnant with a random man's baby and Tucker offered to help her out.
