Angry Dog is a Web Animation series by Chris Voigt a.k.a. Greasy Moose in cooperation with Aniboom.com.

The series follows the daily routine of a small short-tempered prejudiced foul-mouthed pooch and any shenanigans that befall either him or his companions. These include Terry - a hotpants-wearing bear, Kevin - a muscular black dog and Herb - a lobster working as a freelance lawyer who sleeps with any female animal he sets his eyes on regardless of species and sometimes even human women.

The series consists of 7 episodes plus a pilot one / episode Zero.

The animations can be viewed on Newgrounds by clicking here.

George the Angry Dog is snarking at examples of:

  • Anti-Climax: In the final episode George accidentally opens a portal to the dimension of pure lizards and a huge T-rex stiks its head through ready to send George to his doom. The scene cuts to a black screen with the message "A few weeks of hard campaigning later." After that we're only treated to the aftermath with Terry as the new mayor with a single bloody splatter on his chest chatting with George and Herb in the office on how George defeated the T-rex and closed the portal. George then happily returns to his previous life.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: Inverted in episode zero when George berates Herb for having sex with humans after the latter complains about getting "the crabs" from his latest "score".
  • Blind Shoulder Toss: George often disposes of his briefcase or whatever item he no longer needs by casually throwing it away. Said item often lands offscreen with a loud crash and accompanied by scared cat yowl.
  • Carnivore Confusion: Played with. especially in the pilot episode, the ravenous animals have no qualms about savagely devouring some others. Particularly Terry, the bear with fish.
  • Character Catchphrase: George tries to get one running in episode three. It goes horribly right.
    • Terry has a habit to commenting on George's temporal habits by "You've been <doing X> quite often lately. It's kind of weirding me out."
  • Cluster F-Bomb: When George is in the right mood he doesn't wander far for some naughty vocabulary. The censorship duck will never need to worry about going out of business.
  • Deadpan Snarker: George is mostly this, spewing unamused comments on whatever shenanigans befall upon him.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In the pilot episode George bit Tad in the groin for "looking at him funny". All while other animals were blatantly gazing at George with their eyes wide open for what he said before.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Herb the lobster is known for hooking up with lots of females of various species including humans.
  • Facepalm: In second episode George's boss exercises one when George asks where is the lizard king and the "king" reveals themselvesnote  and it turns out it's actually she.
  • Fantastic Racism: George considers lizards embodiments of evil.
  • Funny Animals: In this universe arguably anthropomorphous sapient animals form most of the society. Humans are present too but seem to be only a minority here so they're not actually that important.
  • Gag Censor: Sound version. Instead of bleeps every swear is sound-masked by a duck's quack.
  • Gone Horribly Right: In the third episode George tries to get a catchphrase running. After Horseman tries to steal for his show it turns out to be offensive against invertebrates, the interviewed octopus attacks him. Cut to a scene of newspaper title the next day reading: "Horseman Show cancelled. 10 dead." with a smaller subtitle below, reading: "The catchphrase that started it all."
Terry:(to Geroge) Well, you caused a massacre and everyone's talking about your stupid catchphrase. Are you happy?
George: (in completely calm deadpan) Yes, yes I am.
  • Gorn: When Stuffy commits suicide in heaven by hanging himself, first only his twitching legs are shown. But then the rope cuts his neck clean through and both his severed head and decapitated body fall on the cloud-ground with a torrent of blood pouring out.
    • In the following episode another Care Bear expy stabs himself in the stomach in plain view. Then he falls itho a puddle of his own blood.
  • Groin Attack: The pilot episode implies George is fond of this kind of abuse, when moments into the beginning he mentions biting his boss in the crotch and later practises the same on the quiet black dog Tad for "looking at him funny".
  • Insistent Terminology: George's boss insists that "lizard" is a derogatory term and shouldn't be used even when referring to real lizards.
    • Also in episode 3 it is revealed that apparently "throbbing" is a supreme insult to invertebrates.
  • Insult of Endearment: Played with in the episode zero Terry says that George looks like shit. George having a terrible day at work calm responds with "Thanks" in complete deadpan.
  • Intoxication Ensues: In the fourth episode Herb warns his friends that since he entered his reproductory cycle and is excreting higly toxic pheromones. Too late as both George and Terry are already high. They embark on a spree of rampaging and shenaningans. Then the headache kicks in...
  • Jerkass: Horseman is a self-centered narcissist who doesn't go far to exploit whoever he can to maintain his reputation and rub his ego in their faces.
  • Misplaced Retribution: Pilot Episode: At the dinner table George releases some outrageous line which gets his peers to stare at him in utter shock ... except Tad a calm humble dog. George scoffs at him and when Tad doesn't react, assaults him with extreme prejudice all the while completely ignoring the other animals giving him weird looks.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: In the final episode's aftermath it is only mentioned how George defeated the massive T-rex and closed the portal to the dimension of pure lizards.
  • Rain of Blood: * The first episode begins with a Care Bear expy commiting suicide in the sky land. His blood comes down to Earth as a "small localized blood shower" which George gets hit by. And in the very next episode another of the Care Bears kill himself after realizing his dead fellow's depression. And again his downcoming blood hits George with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Really Gets Around: As the other members of the Doorknocking Squad in episode Zero say - sister June was ever hte wild one. It's confirmet shortly thereafter when the scene switches to George's upstairs bedroom where sister June is in bed with Herb.
    • Herb himself is famous for having a plethora of sex partners of various species including humans.
  • Red Live Lobster: Herb is a stereotypically red lobster.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: George considers reptiles an incarnates of evil. And he dares to call them lizards.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: Every naughty word in this series is covered up by a duck's quack doubling as a Running Gag Censor.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: The final scene of episode 5 features drunk George throwing up a chunk of bile on the karaoke stage.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Darryl, the annoying fish is only shown in the final part of the pilot episode and is eaten by Terry after his second line.
    • More or less the same fate befalls the fish who slept with Herb in episode 1. Even though she gets more screentime than Darryl, she quickly meets her demise (again at the maw of Terry) after scaring Herb with the suggestion of spawning with him.
Herb:(rushing past Terry sitting on couch) I'm going out. (briefly returns back) Oh, I left you some lunch up in my room. (rushes off again)
      Terry: Really? Sweet!
Outside the house a female scream and bear growling are heard from the upstairs window.
      Herb: Farewell, mon cher.
