General:

  • If you think everyone is out to get you, you're right. Everyone everywhere is in on a massive conspiracy with in-depth knowledge of the International Crime Syndicate that really controls the world and one toe out of line will have every assassin, ninja and ninja-assassin out to kill you in broad daylight.
  • Train hard and well enough, and you can become immune to explosions, able to tank multi-story falls and a One-Man Army. All that matters is avoiding running out of hitpoints, or Plot Armor...or something.
  • Good painkillers will let you neglect severe injuries; injuries don't affect you if you can't feel them and you walk them off enough.
  • Contract killer villains hate sniping people, and will all happily duel someone they stand little chance against. Protecting an assassination mark with half-awake snipers is fine though.

John Wick:

  • If a total stranger asks how much you're asking for to buy your car even if it's not for sale, they should be considered very suspicious.
  • It's okay to drink and then go for a drive, if you're an Anti-Hero.
  • Remember to tell your offspring about that one notorious contract killer who was once an associate of yours. Something like that is oddly easy to overlook.
  • If you've got a notoriously persistent contract killer on your tail, stay local to keep things sporting.
  • Don't commit a crime unless you are certain the victim of your crime is less notorious than you.
    • Additionally, always be sure the guy you beat half to death is dead or else consider your life forfeit.
  • You Kick the Dog, expect your entire empire collapsed within the week by one guy.
  • Don't fuck with hotel chains, they might have mob connections!

John Wick: Chapter 2:

  • If a man comes to your house and wants you to honor a blood oath, the sane solution is to refuse and make him entitled to kill you instead of just clenching your teeth and getting the favor over with.
  • Never ever make a deal ever. You try getting out of following through on the deal, bad things will happen to you. You honor that deal, bad things will still happen to you.
  • The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms isn't all that interested in a Mafioso who is willing to blow stuff up with a Grenade Launcher, even after they've already destroyed one home.
  • If you start a fight on a train, no one will care.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum:

  • All Crimes Are Equal to criminals.
  • No matter how clean your record is, bending the rules once (not break, bend) will get you fired.
  • Genuine loyalty doesn't mean shit. All that matters is that you live and die for your superiors and all Honor Among Thieves goes out the window if it conflicts with the will of Big Brother.
  • Bad manners is worse than on-the-spot treachery.
  • Dog owners are trustworthy, cat owners are weirdos.

John Wick: Chapter 4:

  • Blind people don't need any assistance attending hotels, visiting art galleries, playing cards, or walking up stairs.
  • If you have an urgent appointment, take the most scenic route through all the city's big tourist sites. You won't have too much problems with crowds or traffic.
  • If you get into a gunfight at the Arc de Triomphe, drivers will be annoyed that you're interfering with the traffic and just blast their horns. That's such an inconsiderate place for a shoot out!
  • Dragon's Breath shells turn shotguns into flamethrowers.
