For other guesses, see the main WMG index.
- Yep. Confirmed.
- It is worth noting that this version of Tara has a much closer resemblance to the Queen than she does to Dr. Jace. It doesn't disqualify the theory since people can look much different from their close relatives, but it does call into question if the show didn't just make this version of Tara the king's legitimate daughter.
Alternately....
Or Alternatively...
- Jossed. We meet Gabrielle's real mother in "Quiet Conversations."
- Jossed, as Beast Boy breaks up with Perdita in season 4 prior to any romance with Tara.
- It's possible that the plan may also include him recreating a League-like organization that is not tied to the U.N. Basically allowing the Justice League to reboot itself without being tied to the U.N and as easily influenced and controlled, like the were when they were secret in their early years.
- Confirmed. Batman and the leaders of the other teams are working together in secret as an "Anti-Light" to play against the Light.
- Confirmed, plus more, the leaders 'Batman Inc', The Outsiders and the League are all working together behind the scenes, to create an 'Anti-Light'.
- Confirmed, though the exact details of her paralysis aren't yet known.
- In season 4, it is revealed she was paralyzed preventing Joker from being killed by Orphan, to save her from being a killer.
- Well Ra's has resigned from the Light, so there will be at least one new member.
- Based on "Home Fires", with Ra's having resigned and Manta and Brain MIA, the Light's current membership appears to stand at Vandal Savage, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Klarion, Deathstroke, Ultra-Humanite, and Granny Goodness.
- And by the end of the season you can throw Zvaid Baazovi in as member 12.
- Edwin Alva, Hardware's nemesis
- Henry Bendix, who fought the Authority.
- Ivana Baiul, who was a problem for Gen 13.
- Circe
- Ares
- All Jossed, see above.
- Not in Season 3, at least. Red Hood proper never appears.
- Jossed. She's shown to be on speaking terms with them.
- Jossed. Beast Boy doesn't even mention Queen Bee once the whole season.
- On the other hand she is in one of his mind hallucinations. But still jossed, his conflict is now with Gretchen Goode.
- Confirmed. The League, Team, Outsiders and Batman Inc. are all working together and only the leaders know, as part of their counter-Light strategy.
- Confirmed. Halo is the soul/consciousness of a Mother Box housed in a human body.
- Jossed. The Anti-Life Equation was spread via Granny's Ghost Dimension machine.
- Jossed. It's pretty clear Artemis has no idea what Jade is doing or why she left, seemingly believing its the result of Jade's own issues with commitment and being unable to leave her old life behind (much like Artemis has had herself), as opposed to Jade being forced to keep away for their own safety. Will also appears completely oblivious to any external motive and seemingly retired simply so he could focus on Lian and his company.
- Jossed. The old soul Fate was referring to was the essence of a Motherbox, a living computer whose "soul" got attached to Gabrielle Daou's corpse.
- Well, uh, Confirmed, but Lobo immediately steps on him and kills him at the end of the credits of the Season 3 Finale.
- Mostly Jossed. She does join the heroes in the end, but she doesn't ever serve as a 'triple agent', meaning she doesn't intentionally give false info to Deathstroke or provide the heroes info.
- Confirmed. She was found out quickly all right. They knew all along.
- In "Illusion of Control", Dr. Jace is calling someone, saying it's "been a long time". That said, it also confirms Terra is indeed the mole, so half-jossed in the best case.
- Half-Jossed, Half-Confirmed. Both are spies/traitors. Though Terra does turncoat in "Nevermore", but she was a spy.
- Jossed. At least for Season 3.
- This idea reminds one of Superman vs. the Elite.
- Given that Bialya appeared in said adaptation, it is not unlikely that the Authority could borrow some elements from the Elite given they are expies of the Authority, up to and including their animated beef with Bialya.
- Or alternatively, the Elite themselves will appear in this show, while still fulfilling the presumed roles expected by this theory.
- Given that Bialya appeared in said adaptation, it is not unlikely that the Authority could borrow some elements from the Elite given they are expies of the Authority, up to and including their animated beef with Bialya.
This is also known as Waller will probably try to assassinate them at some point in season, or have the desire to do so.
- Jossed. The Justice League does not disband, though they do reorganize themselves a bit and change how they operate with the public. Kaldur does resign as Chairman, however, for basically the same reason as suggested, as does Wonder Woman (who was co-chair, apparently) and M'gann resigns from leading the Team.
- Jossed. She never finds out, and Artemis and Will realize they don't have any romantic feelings for one another after kissing once.
- Jossed. Probably. They both decide they're better off as just regular family. Why they had interest in the first place seems to mostly be because of Lian and what was best for her.
- Confirmed; it seems use of her healing powers shortens her lifespan, and she's already used it enough that her life is in immediate jeopardy.
- But then Jossed, when it's revealed she isn't actually dying. Though one could argue that Violet's repeated deaths gave Jace an opening to manipulate her that she otherwise wouldn't have had.
- Half-Jossed, Half-Confirmed. Savage seems aware of what the Anti-Life Equation is, but the other Light members don't show any visible reaction to being told Darkseid has it. Savage, meanwhile, snaps the device he's holding in half. Clearly, he was unaware that was why Darkseid wanted Violet, and, clearly, knows what the implication of Darkseid having it means.
- Confirmed. They are all in the same room in "Antisocial Pathologies". The three don't have a conversation though. Starfire and Raven remain unintroduced.
- Jossed, she never appears.
- Jossed. Violet isn't dying.
- Confirmed. Under the control of the Anti-Life Equation, Jace admits to making up Violet's diagnosis, because she agreed to give Violet to Ultra-Humanite, who would've let her keep Brion and Tara (or so she believed, Ultra Humanite never intended to keep that deal).
- Humanite is her mentor, it's Granny that wanted Halo.
- Jossed. At least for Season 3.
- Jossed, not only do the Outsiders still exist, they get several new members and even a new category in the zeta tube designations.
- Jossed. Despite losing his position at the UN, Luthor is still a member of the Light.
- Jossed. In spite of everything, the alliance between the two still stands by the end of Season 3.
- This is correct, actually. Deathstroke doesn't appear in the episode and Tara being his agent plays no role in the episode (though it's clearly given a nod to by Tara's reaction to Granny referencing a betrayal, which she likely meant Jace but Tara thought referred to her). Whether it was a deliberate red herring isn't clear, but given the history of the creators, it is very likely.
- Possibly: they're using Bedlam's facilities to create bodies for themselves. I recall there was an Apokoliptan Mr. Miracle villain called Dr. Bedlam, so it could be a bit of a shout out to that character.
- Jossed in another sense. A machine that physically split them is destroyed, merging them back together.
- Confirmed. They were formed by Luthor and he is in control of them. And everyone is aware he is, including the members of Infinity Inc and the Justice League, who expose that.
- Jossed. It's because Black Lightning is a metahuman while Dick isn't. According to Granny, Metahumans are more resilient to the X-Pit.
- Jossed. Although he appears in Artemis' magically-induced Imagine Spot in the penultimate episode.
- He's still valuable because of his vast wealth. The final nail in his coffin would be if they could recruit someone else in his income bracket, rendering him totally redundant.
- For now at least jossed, as of the Zatanna arc he's still on the Light.
- Jossed ultimately in the finale. Brainiac Five comes to the past to pick up the other Legionnaires, stating that the future didn't change much.
- Jossed, the Legion are only here to stop Superboy from being killed.
- Jossed, the Legion go back to their future and leave both Conner and Jon behind.
- They meet Bart, but jossed because it's not a conflict. They need his help to give them a way to get around when their Time Sphere is broken.
- While the most obvious guess is possible, there is one major thing in his favor right now: The Legion. In the comics after Conner died fighting Superboy-Prime, a legionnaire had put him in a healing device that revived him a thousand years later to, again, fight Superboy-Prime. While that death had nothing to do with lava and the one who did so, Starman, isn't present, three legionnaires (especially one with density shifting) could pull something similar off.
- Both Tyroc and Invisible Kid have teleportation in their histories. It's possible the device on the bomb was meant to rescue Connor right after he destroyed the virus.
- Confirmed in a twisted manner. Phantom Girl put Superboy in the Phantom Zone.
- Yes, she attacks Ma'alefa'ak in anger and he does deny it, but the rampage subsides and she gives up. Ma'alefa'ak joining the true culprit, Lor-Zod, doesn't help things however.
- It is implied that something happened in the past that made her give up being a superhero and being a Marvel. in the comics Mary only had her powers because her twin brother Billy got them however the price of that was his powers were halved whenever she transformed. It is possible they were not aware of that until something happened that nearly killed him as how often does someone come along powerful enough to Challenge (Captain Marvel) at full power so instead she searched for another source of power for her abilities namely the Leylines and yet it is clear she is extremely weak compared to her former self.
- It's hinted instead that it had to do with her lust for power.
- Nix Uoatan: A villainous take on the Monitor.
- Ol-Vir: A Daximite who serves Daxamite. This would explain the two laser marks and tie it all into Darkseid and the Legion.
- Neither. Though while it is someone with heat vision, who works with Darkseid, it's actually Lor-Zod, targeting Superboy so the Legion won't form and defeat his father, General Zod.
- In the pre-New 52 continuity, it was revealed that the Martians were once a single race known as the Burning Martians. A brutal race of pyromantic destruction who were in eternal conflict with themselves. The Guardians of the Universe had been monitoring them and realised that they'd eventually have the means of developing interstellar travel. So they reprogrammed the entire Martian race to have a genetic weakness towards fire, but also made them evolve different skin tones as a deterrent from unifying again.
- If DeSaad was given test subjects to experiment on to create his genocide bomb, then he'd eventually find evidence of genetic tampering. Which he finds amusing because the Martians are ignorant of the true extent of the powers they posses.
- Jossed, it's actually a Team arc centering around the climax of the season, General Zod's escape.
- (With the poster featuring the seven surviving original members, it is possible that each arc of 4 episodes will cover one or two. If one was to put Red Arrow in with the 7 Kaldur/Dick/Zatanna/Rocket will get the arcs after Artemis and Red Arrow.
- Episode 9 is titled "Odnu", which is "undo" backwards. Meaning Zatanna's arc will happen after Artemis' arc.
As of the second arc we have the letters that spell out I N V I T A T and I, with a O and N likely after that. The question is, what is the invitation for?
(Some combination of 14 letters)
- To join the Legion of Superheroes?
- A early foundation of the United Federation of Planets (Earth, Mars, Rann, etc?) to fight Darkseid?
- To join the Light?
- To attend Conner and M'gann's wedding?
- To Conner's rebirth
With the third arc's episode titles being O N T O, further fuel as it spells out Invitation To, but what the invitation is is still up in the air beyond being a combination of 12 letters.
- "Invitation To K" so far as of the end of the first half of broadcasted episodes, with 13 more to go after K.
- Invitation To KONELRETURNING
- Invitation To KNEELBEFOREHIM
- Invitiation To Kneel BEFOREZOD
- Now "Invitation to Kneel" with 9 more letters.
- Confirmed to be "Invitation to Kneel Before Zod".
- Onyx is a true defector and Cassandra the fake (as with the comics)
- Confirmed.
- Cassandra is a true defector and Onyx the fake (per set up so far)
- Jossed: Cassandra turned out to be a Fake Defector.
- Both are fake defectors.
- Jossed: The worst with Onyx was that the Shadows knew she was defecting and used that to their advantage.
- Both are legitimate defectors.
- Jossed: Cassandra's defection was fake.
- Mind control is an extra layer to the above mess (one or both think they are legit defectors but with a phrase like 'Broken Arrow' they become Shadows again).
With focus shifted off Mars we might not get many threads on that plot from the trio of Saturn, Phantom, and Chameleon, but there is nothing but more legion members to draw from. Notably in this question is the use of tranq darts on Arrowette. There was no reason to not use a bullet and that shooter seemed to be the only one using them versus swords or guns. Not killing Arrowette was odd...unless you were a time traveler and on their side who, say, impersonated a shadow.
- Jossed, only these three Legionnaires appear until Brainiac Five appears in the final episode, and in a flashback sequence alongside Lightning Lad.
Young Justice Phantoms and all. Phantoms are ghosts, and that means death. Conner is just the first, and the question of revival that hangs over his head will follow the others who die as well. As to who dies...
Artemis Arc
- Cheshire: The long tenured assassin has a few death flags floating around her: she's already been declared as 'wanting to die' by Sensei, the set up with her past with Artemis and her current actions can easily set up a death by redemption, and depending on how Damian Wayne is being set up she would have to be silenced to not go and say 'hey, tell Batman that Talia has their son and the kid will need therapy'.
- Jossed, despite her best efforts to the contrary.
- Artemis: Especially if Conner is being revived and the method is not just for him per the comics reviving other Original Team members isn't impossible.
- Jossed.
Zatanna Arc
- Zatara: Season 4's taken to expanding on plot points raised by Season 3 that were not heavily focused on in favor of the main narrative thread of the two Outsiders teams (the one akin to the one in the comics and the team named the Outsiders), and one of those threads is the Zatara scene where he's aged pretty rapidly. Rapid aging that could catch up to him and put the Helmet of Fate back into circulation, something that could very well be why there is a 'war' where Klarion's being pretty active.
- Zatanna: Following on the Conner and Artemis death idea.
The final book referenced by the titles of Artemis's arc is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which has that as a plot point. Given the emphasis on how terrible Sportsmaster and associates can be, abusive parents, and how Megan's arc made our favorite Martian's comments about siblings come off as a lot more serious and depressing, it is possible that Bereft and its lines about it being like Artemis's dad to undress and redress her while she's sleeping be a lot more fucked up than it already was. This line recontexting would work for the intended 'Sportsmaster is the worst person in the series'' idea even if the main victim was Cheshire.
- Jossed. The analogy seems to be more for Onyx and racial justice in her backstory, and not that part of the book.
- The mysterious blonde girl who says 'I like it' will be named. She is...
- Amethyst, Princess of Gem World
- Another Lord of Order
- Another Lord of Chaos
- Confirmed, as it is Child.
- Zatanna will meet a young empath in need of help named Raven
- Jossed
- Zatanna will team up with Jason Blood to stop a demonic incursion.
- Confirmed
- Khalid Nassour will take up the Helmet of Fate following the death of Zatara-Fate.
- Confirmed, though only as a rotating host, and Zatara doesn't die.
- John Constantine will make an appearance
- Jossed.
- Wotan will succeed Klarion on the Light.
- Jossed, as Klarion survives the arc and keeps his seat.
- Mary will say "Shazam" and become Sergeant Marvel again as a last resort against the Child.
- While she doesn't do so against Child, she does fall back in on the habit at the end.
- The Lords of Chaos will be weakened and scattered around the Earth by Child's defeat, empowering heroes and villains alike.
- Jossed.
- Rocket will inherit the title of 'Icon', as was the case in the comics.
- Focus on the dynamics of being a mother and a hero at the same time for Rocket.
- Nightwing will have to contend with a Batman whose getting close to his 50's and the specter of a 'New Batman' will rise.
- Kaldur will have a reckoning with Amanda Waller over the Suicide Squad and its use of his father as a member. As each arc has dealt heavily with family (M'gann's family, Cheshire and the Shiva/Cassandra mess, Zatara/Zatanna, the Kents, and Savages) the arcs will probably have something to do with family in general plus dangling points from season 3, and the Sucide Squad and Black Manta are Kaldur's.
- The Court of Owls for Dick, whose family is tied up in the mess. Curiously 'Rick Grayson, Dick's uncle from the companion comic, did survive too, but was gravely injured. Talon candidate?
- The true arcs for the three are that Kaldur returns to Atlantis as a prophecy stirs, Rocket is deployed to New Genesis while Lor-Zod is revealed, and Nightwing rallies the Team to save Superboy and stop General Zod.
- The bus randomly getting in the hero's way was just a running gag, but it's appearance in space and the end credits of "Teg Ydaer!" show that it is something more. The bus is either a scout for the Lords of Chaos, or something they did for fun.
- Confirmed. Klarion was using it as a vessel to find heroes that could help him stop Child.
- It turns out it's been sort of a running gag since at least as early as season 1. Due to Klarion accidentally abducting it from 10 years ago.
- Jossed, Traci destroys Flaw.
- Confirmed somewhat. She is corrupted by Granny Goodness at the end of Zatanna's arc, and in the final episode of the season, is officially shown as Black Mary.
- Confirmed as of S4E16, "Emergency Dive."
Her Wham Line of not answering Khalid's question about her almost Dick or Kaldur-level plan against her enemy (Fate in this case versus the Light) makes one wonder if she might have been more involved in them than 'gave Dick that disguise charm for Artemis in exchange for possibly a sex favor' that was implied. She might have not needed the 'trade', and was probably in on the Anti-Light plan of season 3.
- Not yet explicitly confirmed, but his screentime in S4 Episodes 14-16 certainly lends itself to this interpretation.
- Confirmed in "Beyond the Grip of the Gods".
- S4E14, "Nautical Twilight", explicitly reminds viewers that Wyynde was once an Atlantean Purist allied with Ocean-Master before he rehabilitated himself and joined the good guys. If he's gone bad once...
- S4E15, "Ebb Tide," seems to reveal the identity of the mysterious Hooded Stranger as Arion, the first, immortal ruler of Atlantis and grandson of Vandal Savage. Said Hooded Stranger, furthermore, also seems to be tied to an Atlantean prophecy foretelling a new ruler of Atlantis from its ancient past. Given Wyynde's past as a purist, it would make sense for him to be drawn to someone prophesied to restore Atlantis to its former glory, thus putting him at odds with Kaldur and King Orin.
- S4E16, "Emergency Dive," observes Wynnde's resemblance to a statue found in ancient Atlantis' ruins. In response, Wyynde confirms that he is a direct descendant of one of Atlantis' first, ancient residents. This provides a possible point of connection between Wyynde and Arion, as both have ties to ancient Atlantis.
- The statue and Wyynde's ancestry allude to the fact that the original Wyynde and Arion characters of DC Comics were best friends.
- In light of the concern he expresses for Kaldur at the beginning of the latter's arc, the betrayal won't involve Wyynde having lied to Kaldur about loving him. Rather, Wyynde will claim that he is betraying King Orin and siding with Arion for Kaldur's sake, because he believes Orin is abusing Kaldur's trust to uphold a false Atlantis. So, not "I never loved you!", but "I did this for us!"
- Ultimately averted as of the last episode of Kaldur's arc, S4E17's "Leviathan Wakes." Apparently the allusions to Wynde's past in S4E14 were just meant to introduce the character to audiences unfamiliar with him. Similarly, the connection between Wynde and Arion highlighted in episodes 14-15 is only meant to be an Easter egg for DC Comics fans who know the two's history.
- It called for three people to stop the red water, but there were four: Kaldur, Mera, Ocean Master, and Arion. Kaldur was mostly focused on keeping Mera safe while she worked, but she would have died without him.
- The Team and/or The Light are revealed to the world.
- Kid Flash escapes from the Speed Force.
- Darkseid starts his invasion.
- Miss Martian learns she's pregnant.
- Jossed as the season ultimately goes way beyond July and ends in September. All of the above never happens.
- This could just be Greg Weisman messing around with Wally's fans, however. Especially jossed when actual living prisoners in the zone are in the same hallucinatory style.
- He'll see it as his way to atone for letting Krypton be destroyed. Safe bet is one of the prisoners will then kill him.
- Jossed. He is killed, and Lor-Zod is the one who released them.
- If Connor still loyal to the House of Zod even after M’gann restores his mind or not, and Superman gets killed by Superboy to prove his loyalty to the House of Zod, Superman’s son will be the only suitable candidate for the Legion of Super-Heroes to exist.
- Jossed. Superman survives, Conner has his mind fully restored, and both of them fight/defeat the Zods. The Legion also indicate that Conner is still the main inspiration when he asks why he was so important.
- Since Garfield is not ready to talk to his ex-girlfriend out of guilt, Zvaid will have opportunities to use his powers on Perdita and makes her believe Brion is a good match for her. When Garfield is ready to talk to his ex, he will try to apologize for his actions and wants to get back together, but Perdita bitterly rejected him.
- We got some mention of the Stones (Cyborg's family), so that just leaves the girls.
- Cyborg is confirmed to debut in Season 3. Which likely means that Raven and Starfire will soon follow in Season 4.
- As an addendum, if Raven appears, Trigon will follow suit, and will either serve as an Arc Villain like the Reach, or even take over as the full-time Big Bad if the Light/Apokolips plot is indeed resolved (i.e. Vandal Savage and Darkseid are defeated) in Outsiders.
- If Trigon does serve as a season villain, the show could focus heavily on more magical elements of the DC Universe in contrast to the sci-fi heavy Season 3, with appearances from characters like John Constantine, Deadman, Etrigan, Swamp Thing, Black Orchid, etc.
- Season 4 does feature some magic, but only limited to the scope of Zatanna's arc. That includes Etrigan's debut in that same season.
- Starfire will be portrayed as a prisoner of Apokolips, tying her into the main plot. She will be significantly different from other adaptations of the character, having a somewhat more serious personality, having her hair be curly, her outfit very daring and exposing (they are more open about things like sex now), and be voiced by someone other than Hynden Walch. She will be attracted to Dick, but she'll gain a different Love Interest if they really want her to be with somebody.
- If she does appear in Season 3, she'd appear in or around "First Impression", the 17th episode of the season. It's the only episode title that really fits for such a scenario in the season.
- If she doesn't appear in Season 3, she'll be introduced in Season 4, possibly after another Time Skip.
- She'll operate separate from the Team or the Outsiders.
- Confirmed. She is a Female Fury seen in the final scene of season 4.
- Well, the show has been showing Damian Wayne, Jon Kent, the Tornado Twins; so the possibility of Terry making a cameo, seems more and more likely...
- Bonus points: His Robin is Carrie Kelley, a popular fan-theory.
- Terry will travel back in time as part of an adaption of The New 52: Futures End.
- A cosmic season
- The main plot will be about the different color Lantern Corps rising.
- Sinestro will form an alliance with the Light to harness the Yellow Light of Fear in exchange for assisting them but his ego will lead him to betray their deal and he'll attack Earth with the Sinestro Corp because of how dangerous a mere handful of humans proved to be to the cosmos.
- Atrocitus will be the first to harness another color - the Red Light of Rage. He'll attack the Green Lanterns and reveal several past errors of the Corp, being put in a similar situation to the League following Rimbor. Bonus points if his use of a different colored light inspires Sinestro to seek his own and that his revealing Corp secrets leads to Sinestro's Face–Heel Turn.
- Carol Ferris will become a Star Sapphire, chosen by the Zamarons to help start their own Corps that will aid the Green Lanterns.
- Ganthet will start the Blue Lantern Corps, looking to bolster the Green Lanterns because of how the cosmos have been thrown into disarray by the Light's actions.
- Larfleeze will appear, having been drawn by the appearance of new Lantern colors that he seeks to claim for his own.
- The Indigo Tribe will appear as enigmatic allies to the Green Lanterns, either appearing before the Guardians or Hal Jordan and mentioning Abin Sur's role in their creation.
- Kyle Rayner will be recruited to the Corps and at some point will wield a different colored ring while a member leading to his own quest to harness all of the Emotional Spectrum and eventually the White Light of Life which will be needed because...
- Nekron will appear summoned by either the Light or Sinestro getting in over their heads in their power plays.
- Starfire will appear as an escaped prisoner of the Citadel who meets the Team while their on a mission on an alien planet.
- The Omega Men will appear as freedom fighters against the Citadel, which is trying to push into Earth's galaxy to claim control of Earth's metahumans. Starfire could be a member in this version and either leaves them of her volition because of growing enamored with Earth or at their prompting so she can have more of a life than they can give her.
- Supergirl will appear, her rocket being discovered in space by the League. The engines were damaged but she was in stasis and she will be brought to Earth.
- Thanagar will appear, which will reveal more backstory on the Hawks and also reveal details about Nth metal which could lead to hints of the Dark Multiverse.
- Space Ghost will appear having been summoned by the chaos throughout the cosmos caused by the Light. He'll either be an ally of the League if he can depart for his homebase once all is said and done or he'll join as a member if he's thrown there by unknown circumstances and can't return home.
- Rocket's arc in season 4 has extensive Green Lantern focus and a guest appearance from Razer, with Broad Strokes hints that some Green Lantern: The Animated Series events may have happened. This ultimately means the Red and Blue Lantern Corps already exist, though Razer, Tomar-Re, Kilowog, and a new Green Lantern Bug also named Forager get a lot of development within the confines of the season.
- A magic season
- The main arc will be the looming threat of Trigon arriving on Earth.
- Raven will appear as she did in the comics, beseeching the League for aid only to be turned away by hiding her powers and heritage. Nightwing will step up and help her with his own team if this is the case.
- John Constantine will appear working to prevent Trigon's arrival and may have a hand in the League turning Raven away. Zatara through Fate will mention having worked with Constantine before.
- Hawk and Dove will appear through the Lords of Order and Chaos fearing Trigon's arrival enough that they decide to work together and empower equal avatars to fight against him. Don Hall will either be dead from prior or killed while fighting, leaving Dawn Granger to take the role of Dove.
- Swamp Thing will appear as an uneasy ally of Constantine who is helping him against Trigon but questions his methods and is only working with him because of the Green's influence. He'll help Beast Boy learn more about the mythic nature of his powers.
- Etrigan will appear with Jason Blood as a Gotham resident who is looking to prevent Trigon's arrival but is much more measured than Constantine would be about it.
- Ragman will appear as a well meaning soul in Gotham who gains his powers either as he normally does or because of Etrigan's actions.
- Princess Amethyst will appear with the Team getting drawn into Gemworld because of unforeseen magical trouble and she will join them on Earth in the interest of fostering good relations between their realms.
- Birdman will appear and join the Justice League. His powers do come from Ra, the Egyptian Sun God, so his abilities are technically mystical in nature.
- Zatanna's arc in season 4 is magic focused, but with Child as the threat instead of Trigon. Etrigan is definitely confirmed to appear in it, however.
- A political/espionage season
- The main arc will be about different countries around the globe creating their own Super Team, which will lead to tensions because of fears of about preemptive meta attacks.
- Several alien worlds will start sending representatives to Earth in the interest of creating an intergalactic alliance or possibly the beginnings of a United Planets. This will also raise tensions because of how most alien interactions have gone on Earth.
- Firestorm will be created as the usual gesalt of Ronnie Raymond and Professor Stein.
- Deadshot will appear. He showed up in the comics but hasn't appeared in the show. He'll be a member of the Suicide Squad who is eventually able to escape and joins the Secret Six.
- Deadshot was in the tie-in comics as an assassin employed by Queen Bee, so he is jossed, though joining the Suicide Squad might not entirely be ruled out.
- The Freedom Fighters will appear as the United States own Super Team.
- China's Super Team will be either The Great Ten or the Justice League of China.
- There will be a Doom Patrol sub-plot where Beast Boy is approached by Celsius about finding them and she reveals that she saved Robotman in order to convince them. It will be shown that the Brain or the Light have kept them prisoners ever since their supposed deaths.
- Jonny Quest will appear with his father as a scientist researching the metagene who also works with the United States government against terrorist groups.
- Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles will appear as operatives of the United States government.
- A time travel season
- The main arc will be about a time-travelling super villain (likely Chronos or Per Degaton) who is traversing history in order to collect certain items for an unknown plan. They will opposed by Rip Hunter in the Waverider who recruits heroes based on the era he will be going to.
- The World War II era won't just feature the Justice Society but also other wartime characters such as Sgt. Rock, the Blackhawks, G.I. Robot, and the Creature Commandos.
- The Blackhawks will be based on their first incarnation of the team, with some alterations; Blackhawk will be kept Polish, Chop Chop will be based on one of his later, politically correct reimagined incarnations (a very justified decision for any adaptation of the team), and Chuck will be Italian-American like he is Post-Crisis.
- Sgt. Rock, in a reference to the unmade movie, will be German-American, and speak German to lure a Nazi into a very brutal, blood spilling track.
- There will be a visit to the western era that features Jonah Hex.
- A visit to the future will reveal the Legion of Superheroes.
- Michael Holt will become Mr. Terrific through his intellect and mechanical expertise making him indispensable against the enemy.
- Courtney Whitmore will discover her stepdad once worked with the Justice Society and be inspired to become Stargirl.
- Season 4 does feature a time travel story, but Stargirl becomes a hero prior to the events of the season.
- A visit to prehistoric times will cause Mightor's club to be sent to present day where it will be wielded anew.
- Vandal Savage will be a recurring character, being involved in multiple historical events over the millennia, and repeatedly (coincidentally) encountering the time-traveling heroes and villains.
- Season 4 itself is a time travel story, but for a very different reason from the above. The Legion of Super-Heroes came back in time to stop the death of Superboy from the machinations of Lor-Zod, revamped as a rogue time traveller. The season then changes course to Superboy becoming stranded in the Phantom Zone with Phantom Girl, being molded into joining General Zod (whose defeat by the Legion is what Lor-Zod was trying to prevent), and ultimately, Lor-Zod managing to free him from the Phantom Zone.
- A multiverse season
- The main arc will be Lex Luthor pursuing hidden forces that exist throughout the multiverse and inadvertently opening ways into parallel Earths.
- A side effect of Luthor's plans will be the discovery of the transformative effect dark matter has on not just humans but also anything it comes in contact with which will kickstart a new arms race on not just Earth but among the galaxy.
- The Speed Force will be unlocked, allowing Wally West to return to life.
- Luthor's actions will bring the Dark Knights to his Earth.
- The New Age DC Heroes will appear
- One of the worlds accessed will be a Funny Animal world that has not only the Zoo Crew but also the Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera's stable of characters.
- What's a multiverse season without the most important Multiversal threat possible? The Anti-monitor will be disturbed, causing a multi episode crisis forcing ALL factions to unite to save the universe.
- It takes season 4 to officially reveal that Supergirl joined the Female Furies, but rather than brainwashed, she joins willingly after Vandal Savage rounds her up with the other Kryptonians and hands her to Darkseid.
- Ultimately Jossed. Granny makes an attempt, but she's the one who gets screwed over in the end.
- Jossed, Cullen and Harper are adopted by Snapper Carr prior to season 4, so Cullen never turns evil now that he has a healthy family.
- Semi-confirmed as of the Zatanna arc in Season 4, albeit not exactly the same way.
- The Legion seems to think that Superboy will perform a great deed that will change the course of their history in ten years, so naturally it would make sense for the show to reach that moment and reveal what that deed is.
- The show has introduced the characters of Damian Wayne and Jon Kent as babies. In the comics, both of them began their heroic careers as ten-year-olds.
- The show has also set up characters like Lian Nguyen-Harper, Rhea Beecher-Duncan, Don and Dawn Allen, Amistad Ervin, Artur, and La'gaan’s currently-unnamed child. In other words, there are already several characters to form a new generational team with.
It seems very odd that The Light would have easily parted with something that could be as useful a means of manipulating Clark and Conner as a living El. They all but certainly missed that part when Darkseid requested one as tribute.
It is one of two things you can do with a ton of Kryptonians
The other is to go movie verse and mutate one of them into Doomsday.
Durlans like Chameleon Boy notably do not have the ability to levitate and do talk with their mouths unlike the White Martians settled on Durla by Darkseid. Also notably, is that the comic Martians used to be a lot stronger than they are in the present day, being reduced to telekinetic Superman level threats by the Guardians stripping them of several of their abilities for the sake of the universe. Darkseid, who has separate comic history with Mars (it was from them he learned about the Life Equation, which inspired him to find the Anti-Life Equation as its opposite number), may take from that plotline and strip the White Martians of several of their powers. Maybe as an experiment to depower humans, maybe he wants to punish them, maybe because he gets bored.
