WMG / Ultraman Z

Go To

Z will undergo Training from Hell
Well his first form change involves Seven and Leo, both of whom are masters of this trope.

The Devil's Splinter is actually Grimdo
Relating to above, we all know that Tregear has a Joker Immunity all over him, even more so to the monster Grimdo from Ultraman Taiga The Movie. Basically, this show itself might possibly chronicling about Z fighting against Grimdo's remnants and eventually fighting Tregear altogether.
  • Jossed: Riku reveals in Episode 5 that the Devil's Splinters are actually fragments of Ultraman Belial.

STORAGE will use more past Ultra Series mechas.
  • Confirmed as they use King Joe and even remodel it, but that's about it. SAAG does create an Expy of both Terranoid and Darklops Zero that goes rogue.

Captain Shota is actually Jugglus Juggler, or Ultraman Zero taking a human form.
The first two episodes imply a lot. In the first episode he's more confused at an Ultra showing up on Earth instead of surprised of shocked, and after Genegarg was killed he said he had to go to the bathroom and an unseen person picked up the Medals of Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia shortly afterwards. In episode two, he talked to Haruki about how he was after being saved, and snuck a look back at him implying he knows about Zett and Haruki's situation, or can see the case which humans can't see. Either he is Jugglus Juggler, continuing to repay for his past crimes, or the Bullton didn't send Zero to another Dimension, instead he got sent to the past.
  • CONFIRMED in episode 5.

Z will unlock at least a couple more forms. Tsuburaya's just keeping them secret.
The Z Riser looks like it could fit nine or so more medals.
  • One of the forms Zett will have is made from the Ultraman, Tiga, and Taiga. They are the first Ultra Beings from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras. Although in Tiga's case he's actually the fourth after Great and Powered, who weren't made in Japan, and Zearth, depending on who you ask he's a parody Ultra, in that order.
    • Semi-confirmed. Bandai themselves revealed a form known as “Sigma Breaster”, created from Zoffy, Tiga and Mebius.

If Jugglus Juggler returns, so will Gai Kurenai.
And like Riku, he will have his own version of the Z Riser, and will have a new form based on fellow Ultras from O-50 (Rosso, Blu, and Fuma).
  • Well, we’re at the finale now and there’s been no sign of him, so if he does show up, it probably won’t be until Z’s movie. With how big a part Juggler’s played in this series, it’d be a waste if they didn’t.

Whoever gives the idea of SAA robots actually gets a first hand view of Ultraseven and his battles.
I mean it's too much a coincidence that the SAA all wind up looking like past Ultra Series robots, especially since Sevenger and Windom are both related to Seven's human disguise, Dan Moroboshi. For all we know, it could be Juggler giving ideas for the design.

Hebikura specifically approach Riku to ask him not to reveal his identity as Juggler
  • Somewhat confirmed in that he asked Riku to not reveal he is helping him. It is probably implied, as Riku left without revealing his identity

Celebro and Hebikura will switch Z Risers
Celebro is the Big Bad of the show, so it makes sense that it will eventually get the Dark Z Riser and discard the Ultra Z Riser it's used so far. Jugglus will use the now ownerless Ultra Z Riser to signify his change from anti-hero to hero.
  • Unless Celebro was defeated early and Hebikura takes a villain role once again.
    • Ehh, I doubt it. He really does seem dedicated to protecting people and he really does care for his crew.
  • Jossed, they keep their own Z Risers and the Dark Z Riser is destroyed in Episode 24.

Kojiro Inaba will be villain
  • Probably posessed by Celebro or something. Episode 8 makes me think there is something to him.
    • Jossed. Celebro possesses Yoko instead.

Celebro will brainwash one or many of the members of STORAGE
  • One of them will get dangerously close to discovering Celebro's secret, and he will brainwash them to ensure to keep his tracks covered from Z and maybe even use the brainwashed member for his plans. As for the candidate, it could be Yoko, Kojiro or one of the team's mechanics.
    • He ends up possessing Yoko, but none of them are ever actually brainwashed.

Yuka will find out Hebikura identity
  • However it's probably by the end of season or even in the last episode. This will prompt Juggler to leave and back wandering.
    • Semi-confirmed: Juggler reveals his own identity in the last episode by transforming to fight Mai Yuuki, and leaves to continue wandering after Celebro is defeated.
  • Alternatively, once Juggler found out, he will revealed Haruki is Z just so the girls attention shifted to Haruki instead.

Ultraman Cosmos will appear
As Haruki and Zett lose the will to fight, and quit STORAGE, Cosmos arrives chasing a monster from outer space, but to STORAGE's shock he spares it and purifies it. Which prompts Haruki and Z to try to learn how he does it. After helping Haruki clear his mind and regain his inner peace of mind, Cosmos will teach Z the Full Moon Rect and his other non-lethal techniques, so as to help them stop monster attacks without killing them.

Kuriyama and Kojiro are Secret-Keeper of who Hebikura really is...
  • Its too good to see those two folks interacting with Hebikura like a longtime friend rather than someone of a lower rank. Since Hebikura is actually Juggler, an alien with longer lifespans and eternal youthfulness, it possible that Juggler has long been in service of GAFJ and eventually works on STORAGE because of his long time experience, with a handful elder officers knew who he really is.
    • Given that Kojiro knows that Haruki is Z, this might be true for Hebikura's identity as well.

The Beliarok, the sword with Belial's head has an even bigger plot in the series.
  • In addition to being Delta Rise Claw's weapon, it being sentient perhaps hint to an important aspect of the series.
    • Additionally, the Beliarok IS Belial reincarnated as a weapon.
      • Pretty much jossed in this regard, while it has Belial's appearance and some personality traits, he seems to be his own entity rather than a reincarnation.

Kuriyama was possessed by Celebro
In addition to that, he was shown silently smiling from the D4's power, despite its imminent destruction on the city while disregarding Yoko's safety, a far cry from what he did in episode 1.
  • Confirmed in episode 23.

Unused Ultra and Kaiju Medals

Many Ultra Medals and Kaiju Medals haven't appeared in the show that are yet to appear in a future movie and/or even stageshow(s), here are the list of the unused medals:

An original Kaiju Fusion will appear for Z's premier movie.
Possibly an original Kaiju Fusion instead of the ones we've seen in the TV Series, which simply rehashes past kaiju fusions.

The Red King egg will hatch in the final episode
STORAGE's robots and Z begin to lose against Destrudos and are about to be defeated when the baby arrives and fights against the chimera accompanied by both King Guesra and Takkong thus helping defeat Celebro and avenging its mother. It'll be a nice way to bring to full circle the predictions of Juggler about the baby avenging its parents, only that the baby will not go after mankind but rather after Celebro who, unlike humans, killed its parent for selfish purposes.
  • Alternatively, Destrudos is beaten and Celebro attempts to flee with what remains of it, only for the baby Red King to deal the finishing blow as payback.

The end of Ultraman Z will have Kota Fukihara's name In Memoriam.
What better way to give tribute to the late writer of the series other than giving a grand honor to his name in the final episode?
  • Confirmed.

Destrudos will get Hijacked By Yapool.
The damn thing outright weaponizes Yapool's dimension as its signature weapon.

When Barabas attacked, Yapool still has yet to revive from his most recent death all the way back in Ultra Fight Victory. And the next time he revives once more? Just happened to be in the midst of the rematch against Destrudos. Good going, Celebro!

It's gonna be a repeat of Vict Lugiel all over again, and many of the Evil Geniuses, for all their intellect, never seem to ever learn that Evil Is Not a Toy, especially when said evil has Joker Immunity cranked up.

  • Jossed: Yapool does not appear at all.

Possibilities for The Movie.

The ending for the series had Z and Haruki leaving Earth in order to combat the rampaging monsters across the universe. My guesses for the plot are:

  • The remaining 9,997 Alien Barossas, realizing that sending their brothers to their doom one-by-one does not work by a long mile, opens an all-out war against Earth and/or the Ultras. Of course, Z, being Z, will try to find a way to reason with them, because he's afraid that if he kills them all, he'd end up being not so different from Celebro. There could be an explanation why they chose their ways of piracy, with the reasoning being that they were the previous victims of Celebro's Civilization Self-Destruction Game.
  • The Devil Splinters have been mentioned to be the cause of monsters going berserk across Z's universe, but weren't the center of the series' plot. There could be villain(s) hunting them for their own use as much as the Splinters have been causing the chaos themselves.
    • The arc didn't get explored too much into the series itself, with much of it being one big game of catching Celebro hiding among the ranks of GAFJ.
    • Instead of becoming an Aborted Arc, the plot could be brought back for The Movie and/or another series, showcasing how much chaos they've been causing throughout the cosmos while STORAGE was busy dealing with Celebro.
  • Belial could be revived once more with the Splinters... except he's Not Himself this time around, due to a combination of him being revived despite supposedly getting Killed Off for Real in Geed, and Absolute Tartarus' manipulations in Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy.
    • Though, as much as the Devil Splinters being his scattered fragments, there could be an alternate solution instead of making the plot Hijacked By Belial yet again.

Possible threats for future installments.

  • More Chojus beginning to appear by themselves outside of Vakishim, Doragory, Velokron, Aribunta, and Lunatyx, and without the command of their master. The less threatening ones will be given an updated redesign. It would turn out that they are actually more threatening this way, as they also carry the same fragments of Yapool's hatred like Barabas did.
"Though Yapool may die... Choju live on!"
    Barabas
  • Absolute Tartarus becoming the new Big Bad or Greater-Scope Villain. For such an impressive villain who eclipses even other major threats, it seems unlikely that his reign would end in his debut.
  • The return of the Alien Baltans. It's strange how they were pretty much the franchise's Mascot Villain, yet they have yet to take on a major role post-Ultraman Max.

Z's movie-exclusive form will use the powers of Ultraman Taro, Taiga, and Tregear

As with most of Z's Ultra Fusions that share a common ground with each other, having a possible form for Z in an upcoming movie using Taro, Taiga, and Tregear's powers would be possible considering that both Ultras have a history with one another — Taro and Tregear are former friends whereas Taiga is the latter's Arch-Enemy as Belial is towards Zero, and Taiga being the son of Taro as to Geed being Belial's son. Then again, Tregear's medal would appear as a Kaiju medal listed above, having it placed next to Taiga and Taro's medals will turn it into an Ultra Medal taking the form of Tregear's Early Style similar to how Zero and Geed's medals turning into Rise Medals the instant they come contact with Belial's medals.

Z is related to X in some way.

Maybe not a blood relative (we already have enough of those), but at the very least from the same planet and/or universe. Think about it:

  • Both have fairly similar body patterns and chest armor.
  • Both are named after a letter in the English alphabet (a name with a special meaning intended by the ones who gave it to them), and have Color Timers in the shape of that letter.
  • Their transformation devices make use of both cards and some other item, which can boost their power with that of their fellow Ultramen (naturally).
  • Both their transformation backgrounds and many of their attacks make heavy use of jagged cybernetic lines. In the case of the former, their finishing Ultra Beam involves them making hand motions that resemble the letter they're named after, and leaves said letter engraved into their opponent shortly before they explode.
  • Z is hinted at in the voice dramas to not come from the Land of Light, which leaves his true origins up in the air.
Also, both of their series have a few similar, and very important, story beats:
  • Their first battle with their series' main villain was the cause of both the series' gimmick items being scattered everywhere and the awakening of monsters all over the globe.
  • Both have fought Greeza, with their strongest weapon being a sword that was the one thing capable of stopping it.
  • The final monster of the series achieves its strongest form by absorbing a bunch of the gimmick items, and its defeat involves both being zapped with a supercharged Ultra Beam and being impaled with the previously mentioned sword.
