The 2015 animated series
It will eventually be revealed that the Mechanic had a hand in Jeff Tracy's death/disappearance-absence.
- Confirmed. The Mechanic was the original inventor of the T-Drive, an experimental FTL Engine mounted on the spacecraft Jeff prevented the hood from stealing, in the processing being shot out into a location in the Oort Cloud.
The Mechanic is Virgil Tracy from an alternate universe.
Jossed. The Mechanic is Kyrano
Kyrano, the Hood's brother and Kayo's father. The Hood appears to be controlling him via his cybernetic eye; in the original series, the Hood could influence Kyrano's mind and actions by mind control - which made his eyes glow for no adequately explained reason. The glowing eyes have been updated to cybernetics in the new series; why not update the mind control as well?- Definitely Jossed. Kayo has mentioned that he retired when Jeff went missing, and seems to be in regular contact with him.
The Black Phantom will play a role in a future season.
The Mysterons will appear at one point.
And when they do, SPECTRUM, WASP, and maybe even the Terrahawks will also appear. If Jeff appears in a flashback, he will be voiced by either Shane Rimmer, Matt Zimmerman or David Graham.
Jossed. Jeff will be voiced by Lee Majors. Also, Shane Rimmer is dead.
