WMG / The Wolf Man (1941)

Go To

The werewolf transformation happens in all the autumn nights and the full moon from every month.
It can explain the three transformations in the movie, and the poem (that changes in the sequels to the full moon). The Wolf Man also transforms in the nights before and after the full moon, which can also explain his constantly transformations, and why the poor Larry only wants to die.

In universe, Larry's werewolf form is more lupine-like monster.
As we see in Informed Species, Larry in universe become a more wolf-like creature. In Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Manthe poster showed Larry with a long snout, in the Monster Mash "House of..." movies some characters described him as "a wolf" and the intro for Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein shows a more wolf-like creature, with the long snout and pointed ears. The limited special effects simply didn't show it. Altrough, Jack Pierce's makeup is great.

The lycanthropy affect infected men in a different way
  • That's why Bela's werewolf form was more a wolf, like the ones of the ancient times and middle ages. Larry had a more humanoid look with wolf features and digitigrade. Wilfred Glendon and Yogami had a more human-like form and had the ability to talk in beast form.
