Aside from Index predating Dantalian by four years (2004 compared to 2008), the Biblioprincesses in this series are implied to be homunculi. In real life, the term can be traced back to alchemical writings by Paracelsus, who is alluded to in both series: Dalian mentions one of his writings by name in the chapter/episode where Huey becomes her Keykeeper, and one of Index's old bodyguards was Paracelsus's direct descendant Aureolus Izzard.- Stemming from this, Izzard might have replicated the library containment creation process within Index, making her distantly related to the Biblioprincesses.
