Detective Beck doesn't die
- Follow me. The good alien and the evil alien know each other. That two races of Puppeteer Parasite meet each other in the vastity of the universe and that the only one caring to stop the evil puppeteer is one from a race of good puppeteers seems close to impossible. Moreover Beck's daughter seems to 'feel' that something is out of place with Gallagher, but she has not such a reaction with his dad in the hospital. So here is my theory: the aliens are both from the same race; in the hospital the good alien doesn't possess Beck's corpse, but revives and heals him giving to Beck his vital energy (the gold light) and dying in the process. Therefore Beck's daughter, after a second of hesitation, recognizes her father in the last scene.
- Seconded. Always thought that with the good alien race it's more of a 'merger' with the original person with the person's personality simply being dormant at times than an actual possession with the evil alien which involves the death of the original person.
