Clegg freely admits he's giving her twice the dose based off some half-baked rumor that "they intentionally make them too weak"; it seems very thematically fitting that he ends up killing her through his own short-sighted selfishness in wanting Miranda to sleep off the illness instead of actual getting her medical treatment.
