The boy (and horse, maybe) is/are divine.
- This boy shows up outta nowhere and somehow has survived long enough in the cold without any food. And he can talk to animals. This ain't no normal boy, and these ain't no normal animals—pegasuses don't exist in the real world, after all. Maybe he was booted from whatever heaven this world has and doesn't have much memory. Maybe switching between heaven and Earth has affects your memory. Maybe! And maybe the horse is also divine and got booted too, and he has no memory of it. So anyway, the boy and pegasus are divine are divine. And this boy doesn't know much about Earth, but he knows there are villages, so he figures that those must be where he lives. Um, I think I got off-track...
