When the movie ends Stan Beals has been severely deformed due to being hit with the shrinking potion. If he makes it away from the wasp swarm alive, he will presumably tell someone about the sting that lead to his extreme transformation. Considering how incredibly potent and dangerous this previously unknown insect appears to be, it won't take long until the authorities send someone out to investigate the anthill Beals was hired to eliminate. The Nickles will probably be forced to vacate their house and likely most people on the same street, after which every single insect will be killed or caught to be studied.
