The Empire still loses eventually against DC Earth in the canon Batman vs. Darth Vader ending

Vader did manage to kill the Batman, but Bruce Wayne still had time to plant the bomb to free Superman prior to engaging in the fight to buy time. Superman is now privy to the Empire having kryptonite weapons and isn't going to be caught by surprise. The bomb would have gone off just after Vader killed Batman, meaning one of the only beings who might remotely stand a chance against one of the Justice League's strongest is winded and weakened. The result is an absolutely livid Clark in the middle of the Death Star, meaning he could wreck havoc on its internals with impunity. Even without other DC heroes joining in to help fight and avenge Bruce, Superman alone is likely more than capable of crippling the Imperial flagship and other vessels.
