     Unconfirmed

Superheroes outside of the JSA and their successors exist...
...but they'll only be alluded to in dialogue rather than make proper appearances, in order to keep the focus on the new Justice Society. If the series can last for multiple seasons, some may appear as occasional allies to the main characters. Said other superheroes shall be characters who aren't slated to appear in any other upcoming DC Comics-based shows such as HBO Max's Green Lantern and Justice League Dark series or featured in the Arrowverse shows currently airing when such a time comes. For example;
  • A new Supergirl or Superman wouldn't appear due to the former's show and the upcoming Superman and Lois. Since Jon is set to appear in Superman and Lois and Connor is in the cast of Titans, any version of Superboy is also off the table.
    • We might see a time-traveling young Superman show up suddenly. Mentions that he was on a mission with the Legion of Super-Heroes.
    • Power Girl could be used in place of Supergirl. It'd honestly be more fitting given the focus on the Justice Society. If she isn't an Alternate Self to Earth Prime Kara, she could even become a member of the new JSA in a future season of the show.
      • Well Power Girl is traditionally from Earth 2, which is the post crisis universe this show is set in, so it'd make sense.
    • Steel has yet to appear or be alluded in any of the "Earth-Prime" shows, so perhaps he could appear or be confirmed to be operating. It could even turn out that Superman is dead in this universe and that Steel has taken his place as the beloved defender of Earth-2's Metropolis.
  • Batman and other Bat Family characters wouldn't appear due to Batwoman potentially needing them for its expanding cast.
    • an exception could be made for Helena Wayne, the daughter of Batman and Catwoman and the original Huntress. She was a member of the JSA in the comics and has only existed in the Earth 2 continuities. Not only would her presence would likely clash with the Arrowverse shows but fit in with Stargirl's more Golden Age focused universe, but it could also give fans an explanation for Batman never appearing even if a Justice League ends up being confirmed to exist in Stargirl; Earth-2's Bruce and Selina married, retired, and had Helena.
  • Wonder Woman could appear since she hasn't been shown in the Arrowverse and isn't announced to be in any upcoming shows for HBO Max or the like. Since Titans has Donna Troy in its cast, she wouldn't appear as Wonder Girl, but Cassie Sandsmark could be used instead.
    • This is now much less likely now that we know a Wonder Girl show starring Yara Flor, the new, third Wonder Girl, is in development. Granted, there is a slight chance it could be set outside the CW's Earth-Prime continuity, so who knows?
  • Aquaman is in the same boat as Wonder Woman, and as such is presumably available. Garth or Kaldur'ahm are also both open for the role of Aqualad, the same with Tula or Lorena Marquez for Aquagirl.
    • Atlantis was mentioned a few times in the sixth season of The Flash (2014), with no clear indication on what, if any plans are.
      • That was in the old Earth-2 (Black Siren's Earth) which was wiped out by the Crisis. So it likely won't be followed up here.
      • They're actually talking about Cisco venturing to it offscreen in the most recent season, on Earth-Prime; it was back in the earlier seasons it was mentioned to be on the old Earth-2. Either way, both came across as joking references, meaning Aquaman-related characters may still be available for use some day.
  • Obviously, they'd avoid using any Green Arrow characters, or members of his team from Arrow. Since they're apparently still trying to make the Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off happen, that also means Black Canary is unlikely too. The only possible exception could be Mister Terrific, but even then it'd probably be necessary to change things due to the use of the character in the previous shows. Maybe they could use Ms. Terrific, a character introduced in The Terrifics, instead, but even that may be a long-shot.
    • Jossed. Green Arrow and Speedy are confirmed to exist in this universe, though whether they will ever appear in person remains to be seen.
  • Since Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein are both dead and Jefferson "Jax" Jackson is long gone, the character of Firestorm could be available to acknowledge. This version would be Truer to the Text in a fashion, with Firestorm being Jason Rusch and his girlfriend Gehenna.
  • Since Ray Palmer has been written off of Legends of Tomorrow and Ryan Choi has yet to appear following Crisis on Infinite Earths, it's possible that a version of the Atom could be shown to exist in this continuity. If they don't want to tread old ground, they could have it be a new character in the role, possibly based on the Race Lifted Atom from Earth-D, who is explicitly said to have been inspired by Al Pratt.
  • If they don't have a place for J'onn after Supergirl ends, Martian Manhunter could potentially appear. Or, if they understandably want to leave that character be for any reason, they could have a Truer to the Text M'gann M'orzz/Miss Martian show up. Honestly, the later is less unlikely than the former, due to how little we've seen of Sharon Leal's M'gann compared to David Harewood's J'onn.

Derek Mears will reprise his role as Swamp Thing
Sure, he may not have much to do with the JSA, but consider this; Swamp Thing (2019) is now going to air on the CW. Admittedly, this is because the CW needs preexisting content to air while the COVID-19 pandemic makes it too risky to film new episodes of their ongoing series, but it still means that two shows that were originally just for the DC Universe app are now going to both air of the same channel as well. Someone must be considering it at least, since the integration John Constantine went so well, and allowed Matt Ryan to become fans' definitive actor for the character. Maybe they'll want to replicate the success for Mears as Swamp Thing.

Future Justice Society members could include
  • Jakeem William/Jakeem Thunder
    • Semi-Confirmed? Mike mentions in Episode 4 that he wants to invite his friend Jakeem over for dinner, and Courtney now has the Thunderbolt pen in her room, providing the perfect eventual opportunity.
    • My guess is that Jakeem's being saved for Season 2.
      • Confirmed.
  • Khalid Nassour/Doctor Fate
  • Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone
    • Like Atom-Smasher, it's possible that using the Hunkels is off the table due to the characters being set to have a role in the upcoming Black Adam.
  • Jennifer-Lynn Hayden/Jade
    • Confirmed for season two.
  • Harold Jordan/Air Wave
    • Unlike the comics, he wouldn't go by "Hal". It's confusing enough that he has the same name as his Green Lantern cousin there already, so why confuse viewers?
  • Sara Butters/Red Beetle
  • Sonia Sato/Judomaster
  • Grant Emerson/Damage
  • Kara Zor-L/Karen Starr/Power Girl
  • Helena Wayne/Huntress
  • Jeffrey Graves/Mister America
  • Todd Rice/Obsidian
    • Given the fact that his twin sister Jennifer-Lynn Hayden/Jade is confirmed, I feel that Todd is all but confirmed at this point. They frequently appear together in JSA books, especially Infinity Inc, which Stargirl is taking a lot from.
  • Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher
    • He could also possibly use the Nuklon identity.
    • This may not happen due to Atom-Smasher being set to appear in the Black Adam movie. Pity. Perhaps a different male hero in Season 2 will be the one Courtney develops feelings for, if such a thing is going to happen.
  • Sanderson "Sandy" Hawkins/Sandman II
  • Norda Cantrell/Northwind
  • Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor-Hall/Fury
  • Hector Hall/Silver Scarab
  • Thomas Bronson/Tomcat

Jenny Williams will be Jay Garrick's successor
  • Her first name is similar to Jenni Ognats the granddaughter of Barry Allen, while her surname is the same as Joan Williams', Jay Garrick's wife in the comics.
  • Jenny will turn out to flat out be a time traveling Jenni Ognats under an alias, looking into who killed Garrick. After that's resolved, she'll leave to rejoin the Earth-2 version of the Legion in the future.

Blue Valley doesn't actually exist. Its a prison for the Injustice Society, and a re-incarnating JSA.
  • The High school students have the un-activated powers and personas of the deceased Society members, due to a Dr. Fate spell that will awaken them at the proper moment or alignment.

Barry Allen will eventually appear, if only for a cameo
  • We know it's part of the Arrowverse, and since he can hop across universes, it would be a great way to do a crossover at some point. It would also make for an interesting contrast, as he would be an Experienced Protagonist who could mentor Courtney. And it's hardly the first time he's shown up in another hero's show, stayed around for a bit, then left again before he can be too much of a story-breaker.

The Injustice Society used to have a larger roster before they killed most of the JSA
It'll be explained that any future villains who're indicated to have been Injustice League members were either imprisoned at the time or that they refused to participate since they assumed the heroes would beat them in the end.

There'll be a crossover with Black Lightning
The major reason I'm suggesting this is that both shows film in Georgia, near Atlanta. That means it'd be much easier on everyone working on both series compared to everything thing it'd take to produce a crossover with one of the series filmed in Vancouver. Even if Stargirl does crossover with The Flash, Supergirl, Superman and Lois or whatever first, it'd still be a possibility for later, and vice versa.

The Flash replacement will be Wally West and/or Jesse Chambers
Maybe a long-shot, but the show is already proving its been allowed to use characters previously done dirty by the Arrowverse, see the Justice Society, Courtney herself, Hourman, Icicle, and others. Wally would fit with the 'successor' theme and it'd track with comments Geoff Johns said some time ago about using him, not to mention Blue Valley is his home town so he's got some personal stakes in its care.Meanwhile Jesse would make sense because of her stronger ties to the Justice Society, being the daughter of two members and the protege of a third, and the fact her comic-book husband is on the show as a main character.Using both long-term would be unlikely, but its possible they'll introduce Jesse as a reoccurring character, then have Wally show up for a guest appearance, possibly leading to some bigger project from the streaming service involving him.
  • Perhaps they'll have Jesse use her mother's Liberty Belle costume and identity like in the comics if they want to distance her from the version from The Flash. Either way, I'd like to think they'd be Truer to the Text with the character if she appears here.
    • The CW one did already blend aspects of the Liberty Belle costume into the look of 'Jesse Wells', giving her pants and a Domino Mask instead of shorts/leotard and goggles, so I feel something more like the classic 90s Jesse Quick costume would probably be more distinct. Plus a speedster would probably stand out more than another 'strength person' after Rick, and the 'says a math equation to turn her powers on' would be much more unique. Still, its far more likely she'd be done right here than the In Name Only CW version, and considering Geoff Johns' involvement, her and Rick forming a Battle Couple is almost guaranteed.

Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, and Ted Grant will return
While Jay and Alan only got mild references in the battle, showing Jay's helmet and green fire everywhere, it was still established they were there, and we also saw Ted Grant die. Which, is depressing considering they're the JSA's biggest mainstays. However, each one can easily be Not Quite Dead:
  • Jay, as a speedster, is very hard to kill properly as his body would recover from any injury and as we didn't see his body its already possible that what actually happened is he got forced into the Speed Force. He can return, possibly in an event related to introducing his legacies.
  • Alan is, depending on the writer, actually now an energy being made of the Starheart's Green Flame, and as we similarly didn't see his body there's no confirmation he's definitely dead, and instead its possible for him to come back, possibly rebuilding his body. To avoid licensing issues that usually stop him showing up, he'll go by Sentinel in this universe.
  • Ted is the easiest; yes we saw him die, but Ted Grant's 'power' is he has Resurrective Immortality, so him visibly dying means he probably came back shortly after. Its likely he's been in-hiding, ashamed of how they lost and how all his friends were killed, and will turn out to be Yolanda's trainer.
    • Perhaps Ted is the strange janitor we keep seeing.
      • From the comics, that Janitor is Ser Justin, the Shining Knight. Assuming they're following course, he's partially amnesic but in search of his flying horse, Victory.

The All-Star Squadron existed, and they consisted of other Golden Age heroes who weren't part of the JSA in this universe
Think about it; Courtney called the JSA a team of superheroes, implying there may be more out there. The group has either disbanded or become less active, and are oblivious to the Injustice Society's plans due to being focused on either their own lives in retirement or, if they still act as superheroes, more obvious threats in major cities.

Their members could include:

  • Tarantula (John Law)
  • Manhunter (Paul Kirk)
  • Liberty Belle (Libby Lawrence-Chambers)
  • Johnny Quick (Johnny Chambers)
  • Red Bee (Rick Raleigh)
  • Dr. Occult
  • Firebrand (Danette Reilly)
  • Super-Chief (Flying Stag)
  • Air-Wave (Larry Jordan)
  • Amazing Man (William Everett, Jr.)
  • Jester (Chuck Lane)
    • Confirmed. Episode 5 reveals that there was indeed an All-Star Squadron (as well as the Freedom Fighters), with member Red Bee, indeed Rick Raleigh, having been murdered after his secret identity was compromised.
    • In this universe, the Atom could've been an All-Star Squadron member instead of a Justice Society one, hence why he doesn't appear along with the original team. Going off of this, his son Grant Emerson and other successor Albert Rothstein will eventually join the new JSA as Damage and Nuklon due to developing friendships with Courtney, Yolanda, and the others. This will result in other Legacy Characters for All-Star Squadron members, such as Jesse Quick and Air-Wave II, to eventually join them as well.

Spectre will appear
Spectre has been affiliated with the JSA before, so it's possible he'll appear in some form. If he appears it is unlikely to be as Oliver Queen, but the new host may reference him. Indeed it's possible that Spectre's new host may be one of the dead JSA, possibly Alan Scott, as a reference to Hal Jordan's tenure as Spectre.

The Fourth Reich will menace the JSA
In case you don't know, they're just what you'd expect with a name like that; (Neo) Nazi supervillains. In this continuity, they'll be responsible for murdering Tex Thompson/Mr. America, a hero who was acquainted with the original Justice Society, making the villainous group fill the role of the villain Catalyst and making Tex a Composite Character with his own descendant/brief successor Trey Thompson. The new Justice Society will meet Mr. America's ally Jeffrey Graves (the third Mr. America in the comics), who will help them in the battle against his friend's killers as the new Mr. America, and become a reserve member of the Society. Some of the Fourth Reich will escape and continue to target the heroes.
  • Alternatively, it'd be Axis Amerika, with the members having survived into the modern day thanks to Dragon King's experiments. It'd be explained that Dragon King was once a member back in WW2 and that he did to them whatever he did to himself to become so long-lived, but that the others betrayed him when he later joined the ISA, resulting in Icicle trapping them in a massive ice construct. Thanks to his experiments though, they've survived inside of it. The "iceberg" was then acquired by Checkmate. After being freed by a rogue agent, they'll try to take over the United States with the help of Neo-nazis.
  • One possible way to introduce either of them, the group become a threat as a reaction to the ISA. The penultimate episode of season 1 revealed that the ISA's "Evil Plan" is to brainwash 70% of America into fighting climate change, embracing renewable energy, eliminating all forms of bigotry, and embracing universal healthcare. To avoid the Unfortunate Implications that might arise from vilifying leftist ideology, season 2 will show how Neo Nazis taking the ISA's Well-Intentioned Extremist actions as "proof" of the left's "villainy" (especially as it was an Equal-Opportunity Evil group lead by an immigrant who were behind the plan), and are now spurred to fight for their "right" to destroy the environment, be racist, and kill the poor, including attacking the left-leaning JSA kids. This could even lead to an Enemy Mine situation with Icicle helping the ISA fight them, and if they survive, maybe even see Dragon King throwing his lot in with the Nazis since he evidently has no problem with that ideology given his past.
  • If they do use the the Fourth Reich, their members will be the following:
    • Albrecht Krieger/Captain Nazi: the leader of the team, who fought various superheroes back in the age of the original Justice Society. His connections to Captain Marvel/Shazam would not be Adapted Out, but they would be downplayed, with Pat simply saying that he "was a real pain for the heroes in Fawcett City way back when" while showing an old picture showing him getting apprehended by Captain Marvel, Jr. (who wouldn't be called by name).
    • Baroness Blitzkrieg: The daughter of Baron Blitzkrieg, the villain who killed Red Bee. She'll be The Starscream to Captain Nazi, believing she should be the one in charge since she represents the "branch" of nazism that Americans are more likely to embrace. She'll also be Named by the Adaptation, with her last name most likely being Reiter. If there's a speedster hero in the cast, she'll serve as an evil rival to them with her original super speed powers.
    • William Heller/White Dragon: a white supremacist who tried to be a "hero" in a suit of armor themed after dragons. When his bigotry was revealed by a legit superhero who discovered he was only targeting criminals who were people of color, he joined Captain Nazi and dropped all pretenses. The Fourth Reich has upgraded his suit so he can now fly and shoot heat rays from his gauntlets.
    • Swastika: a proudly racist skinhead who who served in the US Army or Marines before becoming a supervillain. He got his giant swastika tattoo only after he left the military for obvious reasons. He's a Badass Normal who mostly tries to kill people with guns and knives with deadly precision and skill he gained while in service. Outside of battle, he's a loud, crude dimwit who acts more like a stereotypical "dude bro" than a veteran.
    • Reichsmark: The Big Guy of the Fourth Reich. He joyously pontificates about the supposed greatness of Nazi Germany while beating people up with brute force. He's the closest in age to Captain Nazi and the one who treats him the most like a pal, but it's all in vain.
    • Shadow of War: The youngest member of the team and the only other female. Her identity is hidden by the large, dark, raggedy cloak she wears. She serves as the team's "eye in the sky" since her primary power is flight. Since she has no canon secret identity or defined unmasked appearance in the comics, she'll be given a proper name, backstory, and added relevancy to the plot. In her civilian identity, she'll go to school with the JSA members and try to tear the team apart through manipulation after she learns who they are.
  • If they use Axis Amerika, their members will be the following:
    • Übermensch: The leader of the team. A Flying Brick who is determined to become the Führer of a new Nazi state by any means necessary.
    • Gudra: Due to being a sword wielding warrior woman who rides flying horse, she'll be made into an evil mirror of Justin. She'll also be revealed to have a negative history with Tigress.
    • Grösshorn Eule: The brains of the team who is a master of finding opponents weaknesses and exploiting them with his advanced martial arts skills. Despite being The Stoic, he'll also have an extremely huge ego and consider himself the most valuable member of the team in spite of not having superpowers.
    • Fledermaus: the son of Grösshorn Eule who is his father's devoted servant, attack dog, and assistant. In contrast to his father, he's a gleeful sadist who laughs like the Joker while inflicting pain.
    • Sea Wolf: While his amphibious powers won't be very useful for him in Nebraska, he'll be one of the more menacing members of the team due to being a werewolf. He can speak, but he prefers to savagely rip his opponents to shreds with his fangs and claws. In a way, he's like the team's own version of Solomon Grundy.
    • Usil: He'll be the first member of the team to be killed while battling the JSA.
    • Kamikaze: The final member of the team. He'll basically just exist to be extra muscle for the team so they aren't too heavily outnumbered by the JSA.

Obsidian will be an Anti-Hero
In the original comics Todd inherited his mother mental disorders making vulnerable to be influenced by his darkside and even turning evil some times. In the show he will become a Red Hood expy by going in a revenge plot against the Injustice Society members for the death of his father.

Pat will become Green Lantern.
Okay hear me out. Some of the weapons of the JSA only seem to react when around their chosen wielders and at the end of episode 5 Pat is drawn to Courtney's closet by the Lantern glowing a few times. It's not much but it's possible, say, that near the season's climax S.T.R.I.P.E is damaged and Pat somehow ends up with the Lantern. It's a long shot I know, but this page is called Wild Mass Guessing.
  • Alternately Mike could become a Green Lantern when he's older.

The Thinker is manipulating the Injustice Society
The Thinker in this universe was Jay Garrick's enemy who used his Thinking Cap to control peoples' minds, making him closer to the comics compared to the incarnation from The Flash. For whatever reason, the Injustice Society rejected the Thinker, but he knew he would need them if he wanted to kill the Flash, so he hatched a plan; he staged his own death and pinned it on Garrick, with it being so gruesome that it got the Injustice Society's attention, making them decide that they had to be more proactive against the JSA if they didn't want to meet a similar fate, resulting in their attack on the JSA coming sooner than later. In the shadows, Thinker has since used his Cap to take control of one Injustice Society member at a time and have them suggest something that would benefit himself in his new civilian identity in Blue Valley. This includes picking Blue Valley as their new home and base of operations in the first place. He would never reveal himself or try to take over the team though, since he knows they would kill him if he was discovered.
  • Charles McNider wasn't known for his... technical know how and the Goggles has all the trappings of the Thinker...

The Miraclo Pill will appear in the series, but it will have the precognitive power that Hourman's hourglass endowed him with in the comics.
The series has already demonstrated that Hourman's signature hourglass is what grants the wearer an hour of superhuman physical abilities and not some pill he ingests. Given that Rex Tyler was said to be an expert chemist when he was alive and was shown writing down some kind of formula in his journal before sending it to Pat, this formula could be the key to his patented "Miraclo Pill" that allows those who ingest it the ability to see one hour into the future after consuming it.
  • Possible, but also unlikely; it seems the reason they switched to the hourglass was to avoid the implications of taking drugs to get superpowers, by having the hourglass as a G-Rated Drug. Making that switch just to then have the drugs be the cause of his precognitive powers would be a pretty pointless change.

If Todd Rice/Obsidian is introduced, Rick or a future male member of the new JSA will undergo Adaptational Sexuality
Obsidian is one of DC Comic's premier queer male heroes, but there really aren't any other characters who are connected to a Golden Age hero to serve as a love interest. It's very possible that he could receive one in the form of an original character or a civilian such as his comics boyfriend Damon Matthews. However, the Arrowverse's has a history of both making straight characters queer in their shows and inter-team drama, so this route is also a possibility.
  • There actually is a queer male character with a link to a Golden Age hero; Neon the Unknown. The original, Thomas Corbet, was a member of the Freedom Fighters (after DC purchased the character from Quality Comics anyway), while a new version, a bisexual painter and occultist named Colin Nomi, was introduced as a part of DC Rebirth. He may not be perfect for the role, but there you go.
  • There's also Thomas Jagger, a Checkmate agent who is the son of Hadley "Rip" Jagger, the original Judomaster. An openly gay secret agent could definitely provide some interest dynamics if he dated a member of the JSA, especially if Checkmate is trying to manipulate or control them.
  • Should be reminded that this show isn't part of the Arrowverse, and besides Berlanti's involvement is otherwise not connected (outside of the Arrowverse's COIE linking it alongside the other DC live action universes; its about as connected to the Arrowverse as the DCEU is). That doesn't mean that its not possible (Doom Patrol also gave Adaptational Sexuality to Mr Negative), but Arrowverse's history of this isn't really an indicator of anything they're going to do.

Cindy is a technopath
In episode 1, Cindy says Courtney should hang out with her and Jenny and says she'll text Courtney, and when Courtney is about to offer her phone number, Cindy says she already has it and is quick to avoid Courtney's question on just how she could have her number. Then in episode 4, when Henry Jr. is showing his friends the topless selfie of Yolanda, Cindy takes his phone to see and Henry takes his phone back quickly; Cindy held the phone for just a second or two, but yet was still somehow able to get Yolanda's topless selfie into her phone and sends it to everyone at school. These moments heavily hint at Cindy being able to control technology in some way.

Courtney isn't Starman's daughter but she is his niece or some other relation.
  • This is a possibility after Sam Kurtis was revealed to be Courtney’s father after all. Though Starman could be her maternal uncle or some relation from her mother's side.

Artemis will eventually join the JSA
While she's fiercely competitive and has a temper, those aren't necessarily dealbreakers (especially when Rick's on the team). Couple this with her seeming to have a contentious relationship with her parents (while they gush over her, she seems pretty nonplussed by them trying to tell her they're going on a date). Eventually she'll find out what everyone's been up to and throw her lot in with Courtney's crew.
  • Quite possibly her and Cameron will both go through Adaptational Heroism, and become redeeming replacements for their parents.
  • The clincher will be when her parents matter-of-factly reveal they've been murdering her coaches to make sure Artemis gets ahead. Rough as she may be, the idea of killing people like this will be too much and Artemis will want to make up for her parent's actions.

If/When Maxine Hunkel joins, her drama geek traits will be focused on rather than her intellect
Considering she's Courtney's best friend in the comics, an Ensemble Dark Horse, was created by showrunner Geoff Johns, fits the show's focus of being a JSA Legacy Character, and would have a pretty easy-to-use powerset as Blow You Away powers aren't hard to animate, Courtney would fit the team pretty well. Both because writers often forgot that Maxine was a genius and would write her being quite spacey, but also so she's not completely identical to Beth, Maxine will be introduced as a drama geek and Wicked fangirl, and written as more of a Cloud Cuckoo Lander, possibly with ADHD. The fact she's a Motor Mouth with a Friendless Background will be retained though, but it'll be used to give her and Beth a rapport of being the team's talkative geeks and lead to Deadpan Snarker Yolanda remarking how there's 'two of them' now.

The show will, eventually, adapt the JSA's infamous rep for having loads of characters
So far, the cast is pretty modest with four main JSAers and their sidekick/parental handler Pat. However, the fact the show is using Rick Tyler, Beth Chapel, and Yolanda Montez rather than Courtney's typical contemporaries, will lead to the show introducing characters from both, as well as other sources. Such as:
  • Todd Rice/Obsidian, Jennie-Lynn Hayden/Jade, Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher, and Grant Emerson/Damage, could all be included from the Infinity Inc set, especially as the former two are explicitly the kids of the already-established Green Lantern. Al might be harder as Atom was curiously left out, but with his relationship with Courtney in the comics, it'd be odd to not use him considering her other love interest, Billy Batson, is almost definitely off the table. Grant is easier as while he's Al Pratt's son, he's at one point said to be product of a cloning experiment derived from the DNA of every JSAer, so he could just be introduced as that.
  • Jakeem Thunder's already been teased, and as referenced above it'd be unlikely to not include Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone. Similarly, as referenced above, using Jesse Chambers/Quick would give the team a speedster and make sense considering Geoff Johns' love of the Flash franchise and his personal hand in developing Jesse, as well as her relationship with Rick probably being a good way to mellow him out and give the show a Beta Couple.
  • Besides them, the show already has Artemis Crock, Henry King Jr, and Cameron Mahkent, and while they're the villains's children, they could decide to become heroic, redeeming replacements for them, especially with Artemis' most famous depiction being heroic and Cameron already getting Adaptational Nice Guy treatment.
  • As well as that, its very likely the 'big three' JSAers, Jay Garrick, Ted Grant, and Alan Scott will be revived because of how big-name they are, especially with neither Jay or Alan having their own legacies among the cast. Plus the show is already building towards Sir Justin/Shining Knight with the Justin the Janitor stuff.

So, in time, the show will end up with Courtney, Pat, Rick, Yolanda, and Beth being joined by Obsidian, Jade, Al, Grant, Jakeem and the Thunderbolt, Maxine, Jesse, Artemis, Cameron, and Henry, with Alan, Jay, Ted, and Justin taking the ISA's place as teachers at the school to mentor them all.19 superheroes would be a big order for a single TV series to balance, but its true to the comics. To compensate, half the cast will split off to form a JSA/Infinity Inc spin-off, creating a 'JSAverse'. Or they'll just rotate the cast depending on people joining/leaving the cast.

  • Artemis and Cameron I might buy joining the JSA, but Henry... he may have felt bad when Cindy shared the pic, but in episode one, he didn't exactly look reluctant when he was taunting Yolanda, throw in the fact that Courtney hurt his father... well it's not completely beyond the realm of possibility that Henry joins the JSA, but I'd more expect him to join the ISA.
    • True, but his comic self was initially a teammate of Yolanda, Rick, and Beth, so it's not hard to imagine them following that. Though, he did have a Face–Heel Turn, so it's equally possible we'll skip that. His character right now is pretty much the Daenerys of the show; he's a coin on its edge, ready to fall on either side.
    • Well, episode 10 found a way to joss both theories. RIP Henry.

If there's a Justice League in this continuity, we'll only ever see more "obscure" members
Like suggested previously, said superheroes will be ones with no presence on "Earth-Prime"/the main Arrowverse, or other currently running shows. That means it could be characters like Animal Man, the Creeper, or Silver Sorceress who could make a guest appearance rather than any founding members. Or not, this show already has a lot of characters on the way.
  • I think the JSA is the Earth-2 equivalent of the Justice League.
  • Perhaps there isn't a proper League, but the characters who would normally be the members still exist as independent heroes. After all, the original Golden Age comics did have Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, and Robin as members, so it isn't crazy to suggest they exist in this continuity. They simply wouldn't be JSA members at all, with a similar situation applying to the original Atom, Al Pratt, as well.
  • Alternately, we could see a Justice League International/Super Buddies/I Can’t Believe It’s Not the Justice League.

Either Courtney's house or Pat's Garage will wind up becoming some sort of Super Hero foster house.
Two above theories suggest that either Yolanda or Rick will run away from home, given that both are in different but still abusive situation. The Rick WMG above openly suggests he'll move in with the Whitmore-Dugans, which is possible, potentially ending up with the house becoming the DC equivalent to Ultimate Aunt May's house (in the cartoon she definately took in Peter's team for a while, I believe Gwen, Johnny and Bobby all moved it with her at some point).

Alternatively, given that Mike and Barbra know nothing about the JSA it is possible, given that Pat's Garage seems to be shaping up to be the headquarters of the new JSA it's possible that if Rick and/or Yolanda do runaway, they will instead move into the garage.

If the Gambler is killed, the ISA will actually replace him with a new member
Said member would be Steven Sharpe V, the Gambler's grandson from the comics who also went on to go by the name. This version would be a teenager who begins to attend Blue Valley High under an alias to try and get close to the new Justice Society, who'd have no reason to suspect a new student to have links to their enemies. If the Royal Flush Gang ever appear like suggested previously, this Gambler will go on to become their ally in crime, possibly betraying the Injustice Society.

Beth will come to inherit Charles McNider's pet owl
Assuming that the owl Chuck owned when he was alive can't tell the difference between his late master and the current Dr. Mid-Nite due to them wearing the same costume, Beth will come to inherit Hootie as her own pet, with the AI Charles McNider providing assistance on how to get his pet to like her while providing Beth the info she needs to safely care for a pet owl.

The original Fiddler was killed by Rex Tyler
There's clearly a reason that Principal Bowen replaced her husband as the Fiddler, and logically, it stands to reason that, like the other legacies in the show, that she took over because the original is dead. Clearly if he is dead it has to have happened after the JSA died, as Pat is blatantly unaware of the change.

As for why it's Rex who killed him, the hypothetical scenario would be that when tracking the ISA to Blue Valley he encountered Fiddler and, enraged by finally encountering one of the people who killed his friends, he attacks and kills him.

If true this puts a new light on the flashback from episode 5. Firstly it explains why Rex and his wife needed to leave so quickly, and why they left Rick behind; by killing the Fiddler he'd alerted the ISA to his presence so not only did they need to flee, they were expecting reprisal from the ISA. It also explains Grundy, given the way he is kept locked up by them in the modern day suggests he's some kind of weapon of last resort for the ISA, so the fact that he just happened to be running around that night seems... odd. Unless he was released by the ISA to kill a member of the JSA that they knew could and would kill one of them.

  • We know from episode 12 that Rex was able to scout out and map the tunnels. Possibly the original Fiddler found him while he was doing this, or maybe Rex had a shot and took it.

Shiv will become a hero.
Contrasting the ending of the comic, Cindy will undergo a Heel–Face Turn and join forces with the JSA. There have been a few hints that she can be redeemed, so the idea isn't off the table. Plus it's clear that this version is not a "Well Done, Son" Guy like in the original, so she probably won't care if her father gets killed in action.

Hawkman's modern day "successor" will be Northwind
An obscure character, yes, but he was part of Infinity Inc. like Yolanda, Beth, and Rick, so it'd be pretty fitting.

The Miranda MacDougall version of the Fiddler from The Flash (2014) will appear, either as a relative of the Bowin's featured in this show or as a refugee from another one of the worlds displaced by the infinity crisis.

Artemis will challenge Yolanda to a boxing match.
Since Artemis is extremely competitive, perhaps she wants to prove herself in other sports besides football, and Yolanda just happens to be in the way of that. It could also be that her parents discover that Yolanda is Wildcat, and use this same reasoning to set up a match as a sneaky way to put Yolanda out of commission for a while.

Jordan's backstory has been replaced with something taken from Ice
Now, Jordan/Joar Mahkent, in the comics was just a scientist who used a cold gun ala Captain Cold and Mister Freeze, where his son Cameron/Icicle Jr was the one with meta powers. The show has obviously changed that up with Jordan having natural ice powers that are way more powerful than anything he could do in the comics, and we've seen hints that Cameron has inherited it, confirming this is a genetic thing.

Also it's shown that Jordan is very close to his parents, who live with him and are fully part of his supervillain plot; in fact, it appears they raised him to be this way given their 'Norwegian grace' amounts to 'we shall ride over the bodies of our enemies' or something along those lines. It's entirely possible he inherited his ice powers from them, too. This brings up the topic of 'Norwegian ice people'.

Tora Olafsdotter, AKA Ice/Icemaiden, was a Norwegian hero in DC Comics who, like Icicle, could generate ice and cold, and was exceptionally powerful. In her two origins, she's either part of a hidden tribe of 'ice people' in a secluded part of Norway who could all do that, or she's part of a group of Romanifolket (Norwegian Romani) and she alone had metahuman powers.

Either way, the idea of a Norwegian 'ice person' is there. It's likely that, as a bit or arc-welding, they're going to make the Mahkent's in this universe part of the same ice people race as Tora, only in their case they're not as sugary sweet as she is.

Winged Victory is being imprisoned by the ISA
Only allusions to Sir Justin's iconic Pegasus-like steed have been in the show yet, but to not have them appear alongside their master on the show would be too much of a missed opportunity. So in what kind of place can a flying horse be hidden away but still nearby? In the ISA's clutches, probably as a test subject.

There will eventually be another show set on this Earth
In a bit of a twist though, it'll focus on another young hero with little connection to Stargirl, the JSA, and their ordeals, but still is connected to another Golden Age DC character.
  • It'd have to still be JSA-connected, but maybe Black Canary? With Arrow done, and the proposed Canaries spin-off dead in the water, maybe someone will try a Truer to the Text adaptation of Black Canary, focusing on Dinah Lance living up to her mother's legacy, and defending her own little bit of Gotham/Star City with the aid of her pals Huntress and/or Oracle. Dinah Drake's connection to the JSA could be in-tact, and it's just she left the team when Dinah was born, which is why she's not in the photos, and lost contact long before their massacre and/or was in hiding. Dinah Lance could either still be relatively new or it could be set a few years into her career, with her in a rut after a string of bad events, resulting in her being singled out by Oracle, who thinks she can still do good if she got more direction.
    • That's sadly unlikely to happen. Not only could Green Arrow and the Canaries still possibly be picked up for a proper season, the DC Extended Universe still has the version of Dinah played by Jurnee Smollett who they may bring back in the future despite the mixed reception to the Harley Quinn movie.
Barbara Whitmore was part of the Royal Flush Gang
Exactly what it says. Barbara was part of the Royal Flush Gang with Sam Kurtis. They had a fling, she got pregnant, she quit. Why else would she receive an email on the one she contacted Sam with that had a fwd message from TheRoyalFC with someone looking for a Two of Spades?

It's also why she tries to explain away villains and heroes as being fantastic and unrealistic, because she was a villain!

Some Charlton Comics heroes will be confirmed as part of Earth-2
Just a thought, but the Arrowverse hasn't had much use for them, so maybe some like Nightshade, Captain Atom, or Judomaster could be confirmed to have operated through photographs and whatnot like they did with the Seven Soldiers.

The organization Checkmate will appear
It'll fill any role of a government agency like A.R.G.U.S. or the D.E.O. that the show might require in the future.

Brainwave either didn't kill his wife but was made to believe he did or did kill her under outside influence.
The Henry Sr. we see in the tapes displays a much broader range of emotions, even if it's disgust at the thoughts he overhears or satisfaction at killing those who 'deserve' it; he also has much more emotional affect in the tape made after his wife's death and clearly holds Jordan/Icicle responsible, which is unusual if he really killed her of his own volition. His emotional range is striking contrasted with his in-series reactions, which border on deadpan even in battle or when about to kill his son. The only exception is when Brainwave has amnesia, after which Icicle takes him to ISA HQ and hooks him up to machinery; the next time we see Brainwave, he's back to his near-monotone self. Brainwave was on the verge of a Heel–Face Turn thanks to his wife and son, which endangered Icicle's master plan since they need his psychic powers. Some means was used to control Brainwave, either directly influencing his actions or tamping down his conscience/morals/emotions to eliminate any objections, and it may have something to do with the machines Brainwave is hooked up to when the kids find him.

Related to the above, the way that the ISA influenced Brainwave may be related to how they control Solomon Grundy.
Solomon Grundy appears to be basically feral as we haven't seen him speak and they keep him locked up unless they need him to kill someone. It doesn't seem like he'd be intellectually capable of supporting Project: New America or even knowing to kill specific targets instead of anyone in sight, so it's likely they have some other way to control Grundy, issue commands and have him return to his cell.

Chuck is not actually in Beth's goggles.
Both times Beth has gone into the underground tunnels, Chuck has gone silent with no data showing visually on the goggles. The second time his voice was showing signs of transmission interference before he went out completely. That suggests that Chuck is actually running on a computer somewhere else and the goggles are just a dumb terminal that he's communicating with, probably via satellite.

Justin will eventually recover from what the ISA did to him.
We know he still retains some of his skill with a sword, as he showed against Cindy, and he retains some of his memories, so it's possible, even likely that he will eventually recover from what the ISA did. Possibly even he'll snap out of it at a crucial moment in a Big Damn Heroes moment.

Cindy isn't the biological daughter of Dragon King
Dr. Ito had an agent of his infiltrate a hospital and abduct newborns for him in hope of getting one that would be an ideal subject for his experiments. Once he decided Cindy would be the one he would keep for himself, Ito either had the other babies brought back to the hospital or killed.

If there's ever a possible futures time travel or multiverse episode, Icicle's comic grandchildren Doyle and James will appear

Henry Jr. won't be resurrected, but through brainwaves, some part of his concious survived by attaching itself to someone's mind and he might reappear in that capacity, similar to Jericho in Titans
  • Brainwave has said that his powers expanded when he killed Henry Jr., as if he'd absorbed Henry Jr.'s powers upon the latter's death. It's possible that he absorbed Henry Jr.'s psyche/mental signature and that it might surface at an appropriately climactic moment, ex. when Project: New America is about to be completed or the proto-Justice Society is about to be finished off.

Jacqueline Pemberton/Gimmick Girl will eventually appear seeking to avenge her mother, her uncle, Henry Jr. or maybe all three
Alternately since her uncle Sylvester is still alive she could be a character who interacts with him.

The original Fiddler isn't actually dead and will appear in a future season
We've heard various references to the original Fiddler at numerous points, constantly with the strong implication that he's long since died, though never explicitly said. I suspect this is a Red Herring, and that he'll actually show up in the flesh, perhaps in season 2, particularly now that Anaya herself has been killed, seemingly leaving her son Isaac an orphan.

Mister Bones will appear
In the comics, Mister Bones was a villain who was a member of a group called Helix which fought the team Infinity Inc. Bones eventually became an ally to Infinity Inc, with Beth even helping him Bones replace his leg that was bitten off by Yolanda's Shark Man cousin Carcharo (Story for another day with him). Perhaps the show will do something like this; In one episode, the super criminal team Helix will come to Blue Valley on the orders of the Mad Scientist Dr. Benjamin Love, only for Bones to defect after Beth befriends him and convinces him that he's capable of more than being a villain. In the following episode, Bones then tries to join the team when they battle Helix again, only for Carcharo to maul him. He survives, but is left hooked up to life support machines in a hospital. Later on, after the seemingly revived Sylvester comes to Blue Valley and the plot revolves around that more than it ever did Bones or the rest of Helix, the main villain of the season will lure him to Bones' hospital room and kill him by somehow activating Bones' powers as a reference to how Sylvester actually died in the comics.
  • Zigzagged. Bones appears in the last episode of Season 2, but he's already in charge of Helix from the get go, and appears to be being set up as a villainous figure.
    • And then he turns out to be more-or-less heroic, so sort of confirmed?

Dragon King isn't dead.
He might have been human once, but he's definitely not fully human anymore; Cindy has a pretty efficient healing factor and Dragon King is clearly willing to experiment on himself, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gave himself a variant of whatever treatment he gave Cindy and managed to survive being stabbed. Assuming he didn't get crushed or something, he could have made his escape once he'd healed enough to move and decided to lie low until he could fully recuperate.
  • Mostly confirmed; he survived, but it isn't clear how. And then given a twist, when his brain ends up in the Ultra-Humanite's gorilla body.

Pat will get Courtney a new necklace.
Sam relieved Courtney of her precious locket, but now that she is closer than ever to embracing Pat as her real father, he can show he embraces Courtney by getting her a replacement. To contrast Sam's old and valuable locket, it will probably be a cheap, simple pendant, but it's the thought behind the present that really matters.

Why Mike eats his vegetables in the Season 1 finale
It's part of a self-imposed training regime so he can bulk up and be an active member of the JSA.

Johnny Sorrow will form a new ISA
As a popular JSA foe created by Geoff Johns, Johnny Sorrow will be making his mark with a new Injustice Society. He's perfect for the screen from his melodramatic acting to the mask hiding a face that literally kills. Sorrow will gather this new ISA, supposedly for a power play but in reality using them for a true and darker goal.

Shade and Alan Scott were lovers
It’s why he wanted the box that held his ring.

Louise Love isn't a Gender Flip of Dr. Benjamin Love
Instead, she'll be revealed to be related to him, like being his daughter or younger sister.

Dr. Benjamin Love will be a Posthumous Character
Mister Bones will be revealed to have killed Dr. Love long ago as revenge for experimenting on him and others while they were still in their mothers' wombs. He then took over Helix. This'll be explained with flashbacks.

Mister Bones' enforcers/followers will be the other members of Helix from the comics
That means we'd be seeing Tao Jones, Arak Wind-Walker, Baby Boom, Kritter, Penny Dreadful and Carcharo.

Izzy Bown from The Flash (2014) will appear.
  • The Fiddler and Anaya had two kids and each took one when they divorced. If this is true, it could also bring some closure to the Bowin family narrative, given the They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character complaints so far.

Mr. Bones is still a victim of the Helix Institute like in the comics but is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.
Future scenes at the American Dream headquarters will mention more recognizable DC companies (Wayne Enterprises, LexCorp, Ferris Aircraft, Queen Industries, Blackhawk Airways, Galaxy Communications, Sundollar, GeneTech, Holt Industries, Magnus Labs, Ace Chemicals, Janus Cosmetics, etc.) as business associates of the American Dream, while the more famous CEOs of those companies remain offscreen.

The Helix Institute is behind the secret cameras.
They're not necessarily behind Sharpe's murder, but they are keeping an eye on potential test subjects. Learning more about Helix's secrets will allow the JSA to learn who killed the Gambler.

The Mahkents are Jötunn from Norse Mythology, which explains their cryokinetic powers
Jordan has ice powers, and we know his son Cameron inherited them. In turn, we know that Jordan inherited his own powers from both his father and his mother, so it couldn't be like some science experiment gone wrong for a single person or anything (unless both Sofus and Lily were affected by an experiment at the same time, though this seems unlikely). In 1x09, Brainwave, they make a Prayer of Malice that mentions Niflheim. At the time it could be seen by the viewer that they were simply speaking metaphorically, in the sense that the whole season really kept drilling home the family's Norwegian heritage into the viewer, so it would be fitting that they'd reference the ancient religion of that region. We also did know at the time that Sofus and Lily were also cryokinetic, nor did we know that deities could even exist in the setting of Stargirl. They once again mention Nifhleim in 3x04,Chapter Four: The Evidence, but now we know that both grandparents are cryokinetic with no explanation as of yet, and that the world can get incredibly weird with the existence of god-like entities such as Eclipso (as well as the Shadowlands) and The Thunderbolt, it seems to stand to reason that the Mahkents are actually frost giants from Norse mythology. Now, unlike Marvel with Thor, I don't really know how much Norse mythology has traditionally been an element in the DC universe, but I was looking it up and it does appear to be there to a small extent: https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Asgardians

     Confirmed
Artemis Crock will eventually appear
Both Sportsmaster and Tigress are in the show, so it just makes sense.
  • Confirmed, the credits of episode 1 lists Artemis being played by Stella Smith

Henry King Jr. will appear
C'mon, the son of a super villain, who is in the show already, who's also the nephew of Courtney's predecessor? The drama practically writes itself.
  • Confirmed

The teenage Isaac Bowin is actually the grandson of the original Fiddler
The original Fiddler is Principal Bowin's adoptive father, and she named her son after him. He was a member of the Injustice Society, but he died before he could see his enemy, the Flash, be killed by his teammates.
  • Seemingly confirmed; Anaya Bowin is explicitly the second Fiddler, with the original being a white man of Irish descent. It seems likely she named her son after the original.
    • And now half-confirmed/half-jossed; he's the Fiddler's son, and Anaya was the original's wife.

Justin is more than he appears.
For reference, Justin is the janitor, and a few times now he has been focused on by the camera in ways that make this troper believe something is up. Possible explanations could be:
  • He will turn out to be a villain, either an ISA member we haven't met yet, or an independent villain.
  • He is secretly a member of the JSA who survived and has been in hiding.
If the show is anything like the comic that Courtney first appeared in, he isn't a supervillain.
  • In the comics, Justin the mysterious creepy Janitor turned out to be Ser Justin, the Shining Knight. However, the show might take this a different route.
    • Well in episode 5 he spoke to Beth, telling her there were 'dragons in the water' and his voice did have a medieval knight-y vibe to it...
      • Well in episode 7 we find out he has a sword and clearly knows how to use it, he recognises Pat as Stripsey and episode 11 is titled Shining Knight so... we can probably conclude that yes, Justin is Shining Knight.

Principal Bowen is the Fiddler, or related to him.
  • Confirmed; she's the second Fiddler, and the original's wife.

Justin remembers Pat from when both were part of the Seven Soldiers of Victory
It'll be revealed that the Seven Soldiers existed back when Sylvester was still the Star-Spangled Kid, but that something happened to break up the team and leave it short lived. This event could've been what lead to Justin losing his horse and becoming a janitor, as well as led to Sylvester and Pat joining the JSA after Sylvester became Starman. As for the rest of the Seven Soldiers, they consisted of Lee Travis/Crimson Avenger, Greg Saunders/Vigilante, and their respective sidekicks Wing How and Daniel Leong/Stuff the Chinatown Kid. After they disbanded, Wing stopped his costumed crime-fighting at Lee's request, Lee eventually died while rescuing a woman and her children in a fire, Stuff was killed in battle with the diminutive villain called the Dummy, and Greg has been off the radar taking raising and safeguarding Stuff's son, Daniel Leong, Jr., ever since. As for why Pat didn't mention the Seven Soldiers, it only being a brief string of team-ups, added with the importance of the JSA in his life, may have resulted in him ignoring that part of his past. He may not even know what happened to the others in the first place. Justin, however, will regain his memories of all of it.
  • Confirmed, although the lineup is a little different to the one predicted.

Mike and Barbara will eventually figure out at least some of what is going on.
Courtney and Pat aren't exactly the best at avoiding mentioning their hero work around the house, nor are they good at making excuses, it just seems likely that they're going to find out at least some of what's really going on. Either that or either Pat or Courtney will confess to them.
  • Confirmed; Barbara discovers what's going on at the end of episode 10, and Mike a couple episodes later.

Shining Kight and Dragon King will fight each other.
They fought in the comics, after all. Who wouldn't want to see a knight do battle with a dragon?
  • Confirmed. They engage in a sword fight in the Season One finale.

The Shade will be teased in the Season One finale.
Perhaps in a post-credits scene? If we don't see the character in person, we'll at least his shadows like we did in the Action Prologue, cementing the season with a nice Book Ends.
  • Confirmed. Though not in a stinger, we see the Shade from behind as his shadows engulf the ISA's portrait.

The Shade and Jack Knight will be major characters in Season 2
  • James Robinson who wrote Starman in '90s is also writer of Stargirl.
  • Confirmed for the Shade, though the appearance of Jack Knight is still up in the air.

The Injustice Society are actually Well Intentioned Extremists.
And Project New America is their plan to stop the actual Big Bad, Per Degaton!
  • Confirmed. Though Per Degaton doesn't appear, the ISA plans to brainwash six states (and eventually the entire Midwest) and craft a "New Constitution" that will stop global warming and social injustice, while encouraging clean energy and universal healthcare.

Paintball will appear in Season 2.
Yeah, remember Paintball? He won't be a major threat, instead he'll show up as a C-List villain that the JSA will fight during an Action Prologue.
  • Alternatively he could just be one of those recurring villains that shows up, is totally useless and is beaten in an almost offhand way and never learns, to serve as comic relief.
  • Confirmed. Paul Deisinger appears, though not in his supervillain identity at first.

The Shade will end up allying with the Justice Society.
His association with the Starman franchise in the comics was ultimately a positive one, befriending the Knights and the O'Dares. That would be harder to pull off here, where he killed the original Dr. Mid-Nite, but not impossible. He left the ISA, but his words could be interpreted as disagreement with Jordan's methods. If he was on board with Jordan's goals, then common cause exists. Besides, the threat of Eclipso would warrant a teamup with anyone willing to help.
  • Confirmed.

The Shade is lying about why he wants to get rid of Eclipso.
During the Shade's discussion with Courtney his tone significantly shifts when he claims that he's simply bored. It is possible he's telling the truth, it's equally possible that, in fact, he has another, more personal reason to be after Eclipso, whether it's the above 'Shade is a McNider' theory or something else, which he didn't tell Courtney because, frankly, they're enemies and he's not going to immediately admit his real motive to her for no good reason.
  • Confirmed; it's because even he finds Eclipso too evil to exist.

Yolanda will run away from home
Considering how her parents and grandmother aren't going to let her live down the mistake she made while dating Henry Jr. anytime soon, it's only a matter of time before Yolanda finally reaches her limit and decides to cut her losses with her family by running away from them, after which her brother will angrily cuss them out for driving away their sister, daughter, and granddaughter and make them realize how badly they have screwed up.
  • Given how every member of the family besides Yolanda's brother has been shown to be utterly self centered dicks so far, a far more likely reaction would be to not care that she's gone or even be glad that such a "disgrace" is gone.
  • Mostly confirmed, though her mother gives her the choice of turning over her phone (and revealing everything about the JSA) or leaving; Yolanda chooses the latter.

Jordan isn't dead
His shattered pieces can melt and reconstitute, albeit in a weakened state. Unable to fight himself, he'll encourage Cameron to embrace his own powers and avenge him by taking out Stargirl and the JSA.
  • And he kills the Crocks, too.

     Jossed
Courtney really is Starman's daughter.
As Narm on the YMMV page mentions, the way Courtney keeps insisting that Starman is her father feels so much like the show is setting her up for disappointment that it'd be more of a twist if it turned out she's right and Sylvester really was her dad.
  • Jossed as of "Brainwave Jr.", which reveals that her father is indeed Sam Kurtis.

Henry King Jr. will be approached by the ISA and drafted onto the team as Brainwave Jr.
Given that the Injustice Society has everything they need to initiate Project New America except for Brainwave's mental powers, and assuming Henry Sr. either dies or doesn't wake up from his coma soon enough for his teammates, the Injustice Society will seek out their comrade's son after learning of Henry Jr.'s own budding psychic powers and convince him to perform his father's role in their plan. Henry Jr. will be swayed into joining when he comes to learn that the masked stranger with the glowing staff that attacked him and his friends at the drive-in theater that one night is also the one culpable for putting his father in a coma, and will join them for the chance to get revenge.
  • Jossed as of "Brainwave Jr."; Henry Sr. wakes up and returns to the ISA, while Junior ultimately chooses Courtney and the JSA, and pays for it with his life.
  • It's a comic book show, no pool of blood, no hand in the rubble, no body. This is less Killed off for real and more no one could survive that, especially since the actor is credited in all thirteen episodes. How many flashbacks can he be in in the last three episodes?
    • It could be one of those things where a character hallucinates him because they're haunted by his death, possibly Yolanda, Courtney or (if he has a flash of conscience) his dad.
      • We'll have to wait for next week's episode. All I'm saying is that until I see a body, the boy ain't dead.
      • The actor stated that he doesn't want to return because a handwavey resurrection would ruin his death scene.
      • Doesn't matter if he's really dead or not, what matters is there's no way he's joining the ISA now, at least not for the assumed reason of wanting revenge against Courtney for injuring his dad.

Johnny Sorrow will appear in the Season One finale.
The original Injustice Society will fall apart/disband, and he'll appear before Shiv to recruit her into a new ISA, ultimately fulfilling her wish. Thus, Johnny, Shiv, and the new lineup of villains will act as the main threats of Season Two.
  • The other members could include Cameron as the new Icicle and Artemis as the new Tigress, similar to the comics' lineup.
  • Like in the comics, the Thinker will serve this incarnation of the Injustice Society as an artificial intelligence who can appear "in person" via a hologram, or possibly have that form be made into an android the AI can pilot instead.
    • In this regard, the second season might adapt the beginning of James Robinson/Geoff Johns run, focusing on the 'reformation' of the 'old guard' of the Justice Society; Courtney and friends will be joined by revived heroes like Jay, Alan, and Ted, creating a bit of an inverse where it's mostly new ISA villains avenging their parents/predecessors vs the JSA composed of Courtney and co as well as the old guard.
  • Jossed, at least for Season One, which instead ends with a teaser for both the Shade and Eclipso.

Dragon King is the real Big Bad.
For starters, he's the main villain of Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. (the comic that the show is primarily based on), and it seems that they're building him up to be an even bigger threat than Icicle (Jordan is at least sympathetic, while Ito is not). Perhaps he's only using the ISA as pawns so that he could use the machine for himself, circling back to the original comic where the satellite was indeed part of his Evil Plan.
  • Jossed. Icicle remains the Big Bad of Season One, while Dragon King acts as his loyal ally.

The truth about Joey's death will inspire Sportsmaster and Tigress to betray Icicle.
Crusher and Paula love being supervillains, that much is clear, and neither is the type to really care about their cohorts, much less their kids. However, they love Artemis, and the idea of their leader killing her as punishment for stepping out of line with not stand with these parents. So, the Crocks will plot behind Icicle's back, and get ready to strike first.
  • Jossed. They remain faithful to him until his eventual death.

After episode 10, Henry Jr. isn't Deader than Dead, and will be Reforged into a Minion by Dragon King
At the end of episode 10, Brainwave seemingly murders his own son by crushing him with rubble. However, given what we know of Dragon King and his experiments, and his previous interest in William Zarick's corpse, it's not unreasonable to think that he could take Henry Jr.'s body and do something with it that would benefit the ISA in some way, given that Henry Jr.'s psychic abilities could provide an additional advantage on top of his father's own abilities. For that matter, we may not have seen the last of William Zarick either.
  • Jossed, but coincidentally, this scenario does actually play out in the Season One finale when a minion unmasks before Yolanda to reveal he's Henry Jr. However, this isn't the real Henry Jr., just his father in disguise.

Brainwave, and possibly the others, will go full on The Starscream on Jordan
Jordan's manifesto lays out clearly that he's actually a radical leftist; he wants to end climate change, bigotry in all forms, and set up universal healthcare, but has decided the only way to make these things happen is to brainwash the midwest.Thing is, this only really makes sense for Jordan, a second-generation immigrant who suffered a terrible family loss because of unchecked capitalism and environmental destruction. For the others, though? Brainwave is a Misanthrope Supreme, Dragon King is a mad scientist formerly aligned with the Axis Power, Gambler is just a selfish asshole, Grundy is a mindless monster, and Sportsmaster and Tigress are sadists for hire. None of them really seem the type who'd support this campaign since there's no personal gain and it doesn't really play into their own politics. So, likely, they're after their own agenda and are just buying their time; Brainwave is basically placed in a very important position, power-wise, as he's the one who gets to direct the brainwashing and who get's brainwashed. He doesn't have reason to care about the environment, bigotry, or healthcare, but he does have reason to dislike Jordan for forcing him to kill his wife and son. Given how much of The Sociopath he is, he could be playing Jordan at this point, waiting until New America is fully in-place, then deciding to screw Jordan's plan and do his own Take Over the World plot.
  • If Brainwave hijacks the plans, it's likely that Dragon King will go along with it since he mostly seems concerned with the chance to advance his own work. Gambler seems like he'd back whoever's winning and Grundy's forced to obey whoever's holding his leash, though Sportsmaster and Tigress seem to genuinely care about their daughter— As long as Brainwave doesn't put her or themselves in danger, they'd probably be onboard. The Fiddler might be a Wild Card, as we don't know much about her but can assume she cares about her son and seems like something of an outsider as she "inherited" the role from her husband.
  • Jossed. In the end, every member (including Brainwave) remains loyal to Jordan and his cause.

Brainwave is indeed planning to hijack Project: New America.
Instead of rewriting everyone's brains to adhere to Icicle's manifesto, Brainwave will outright wipe their minds, turning everyone affected into puppets he can control through the New America system. Alternately, the array will allow Brainwave to scan everyone within range individually and he'll simply kill anyone whose thoughts he finds offensive, as A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read plays heavily into his origins.
  • Jossed. He follows the entire plan as intended, and never attempts to hijack or change it.

The season will end with Project: New America backfiring on the Injustice Society
The brainwashing of the adults will result in a chaos that'll end up costing one of their number something they care about.
  • Jossed. The project goes swimmingly, and no public chaos ensues after the brainwashing. The JSA manages to put an end to it, though.

There'll be in-fighting within the Injustice Society.
Jordan killed William and his son when he believed William couldn't follow in line. When the remaining members of the ISA try calling him out on this, whether over genuine grief for their comrade and his son's murder or worry that William's death will impede their goals, he'll threaten to do the same to them should they step out of line, making them fear for their lives and their children's. Henry Sr. will wake up from his coma, and at first will believe Icicle that Stargirl is responsible for William and Joey's death. But when he learns the truth, it would lead to a fight between Brainwave and Icicle. Brainwave accuses Icicle of caring more about power and control than their goal. Icicle will come to realize he's right, and after being kicked out, will come after the Injustice Society to remove the competition.
  • Jossed. Though there are definitely moments where members don't get along, it never escalates to this level. None of them even care that William is dead.
    • Also, Sportsmaster and Tigress kill Fiddler II for criticizing their parenting, and none of the other members are concern about her weareabouts as they're busy with the fruition of their goal.

Before the first season ends, Yolanda will find the truth about the selfie fiasco that ruined her life
In the event that Dragon King allows Cindy out of her cell during the final battle between the new JSA and the ISA, Cindy will face off against Yolanda, during which she gets the upper hand and engages in Evil Gloating by revealing that she was the one who leaked the topless selfie to the student body, and that Henry Jr. was for the most part innocent. Horrified, remorseful, and enraged, Yolanda will then get a Heroic Second Wind and savagely lay the beatdown on Cindy for ruining her life at school and home and directing her anger at the wrong person.
  • Jossed. Yolanda and Cindy don't even cross paths during the final episode (unless Yolanda walking by Cindy's cell counts).
    • Though Yolanda might find out when/if they cross paths again in season 2.

The Shade will be a Politically Incorrect Villain
The reason he opposed Jordan and the rest of the ISA is because he didn't want a better America, or at least their view of it. He'll desire chaos and cruelty on a worldwide scale, and at some point Courtney will be pushed into an Enemy Mine situation with the remaining ISA members like Tigress and Sportsmaster.
  • Jossed; he's actually more civilized and polite than most of the rest of the ISA.

Sportmaster and Tigress form a new ISA with Shiv, Artemis, Cameron, and Isaac
They wanted to bring Artemis in all season, and everyone who said no is now dead. They'd probably like Shiv's bloodlust. Killing her father is a strike against her, but they're in no position to complain much after killing Anaya. It would be very easy to get Cameron and his grandparents on board. They didn't respect Anaya, but they did respect her husband, and they'd view Isaac's sudden aggression as a welcome turn. Getting their hooks into him would also serve as a final middle finger to his mother. As long as they can keep the truth of his mother's death from him, there's no problem. They may or may not keep in touch with Gambler. They dislike him, but they'll need him to keep in cash.
  • Pretty much Jossed in 2x04: Aside from briefly breaking out of prison to watch Artemis' football tryouts, they're pretty much content there, or at least accepting of their fates.

Why Shade quit the Injustice Society
Shade learned that the Green Lantern was Alan Scott when Thorn came to avenge her husband's death. The fight ends with Shade victorious but leads him to quit villainy after realizing that he is the cause for the couple's children being orphaned. Which leads to...
  • Jossed

Shade will be The Mentor for Obsidian
After learning that the son of Alan Scott came for revenge Shade will offer to train Todd's shadow powers and will give him the location of his former mates as a form of redemption for his helping in the killing of his parents.
  • Building off of both these, Shade's 'betrayal' of the ISA will be that he left them upon finding out about the kids, and cautious of what his colleagues would do to them, he hid Todd and Jennie and has been raising them since.
    • Nice idea, but sadly completely Jossed.
    • Partially comes true after all in Season 3, but not for any such reason—it's because after Jennie separates her Green Lantern powers from the Shade's powers, Courtney convinces him to help train Todd as a means of redemption.

Dragon King will bring Wizard back from the dead.
Given that he requested Wizard's corpse from Icicle, chances are the experiments he's planning to do on him will involve bringing Wizard back to life, only once he's resurrected, Wizard won't need to rely on his wand to do magic due to Dragon King's experiments and will no longer be hesitant when it comes to confronting Stargirl.
  • If so then presumably he'll also wipe Wizard's mind since otherwise he'd be more likely to team up with Stargirl than help the ISA
    • Since Dragon King himself is dead, whatever plans he had are gone as well.

Now that the ISA has been weakened, normal crime will appear in Blue Valley
It's said several times that Blue Valley was a pretty bad, backwater town before Jordan took it over. Now that he can't influence it any more and none of the ISA leadership can stamp out petty crime before it starts, Courtney and the JSA will have to face more standard and independent villains instead of a united front.
  • Jossed; as of Season 2, Blue Valley still seems to be a pretty nice place. It's possible they did run into one or two petty criminals offscreen, but nothing is mentioned.

The S.T.R.I.P.E. suit will get destroyed early into Season 2
  • It's partly trashed by Artemis, but only partly.

Obsidian will be the Morality Pet to Shade
In the comics, Obsidian could use the same shadow dimension as The Shade could. Possibly, Obsidian discovers this power by becoming trapped in the shadow dimension which leads Shade to saving him. Obsidian feels like he owes Shade his life and becomes a sort of apprentice to him. Their relationship eventually turns into a sort of father/son bond when the Shade finds that Obsidian comes from a homophobic foster home and takes him under his wing. But this relationship could be destroyed once Obsidian learns that Shade was part of the Justice Society massacre a decade ago, especially if he finds out Alan Scott, the Green Lantern, was his father.
  • Jossed; they never meet.
  • They do meet in Season 3, but whether he'll end up as a Morality Pet to the Shade is unknown (and sadly, always will be).

Jennie is/will be working with the Shade
It will be revealed the Shade imprisoned Jennie's brother Todd in the Shadowlands (lethal to humans, but only inconvenient to Todd because of his own darkness powers) to force her into a partnership. This way, Courtney's jealous suspicions about her are proven true, but in a way that makes her wish they weren't.
  • Jossed; they have nothing to do with each other.
  • In season 3 they do end up working together, but only to help separate their powers and to locate Todd.

The Shade will turn out to be a McNider.

  • In a departure from the comics, The Shade will be revealed to be a member of the McNider family, perhaps Dr. Midnite's father or even his son. He joined with the ISA in their fight against the JSA to save Midnite, not kill him; that's why Pat saw him drag Midnite off into the darkness. Likewise, the little girl we see Eclipso kill in the flashback is his sister or daughter. This is why he has a vendetta against Eclipso and why he fears what Eclipso will do to children if given the chance.
    • Partially confirmed—he did in fact save Midnite, and regrets Rebecca's death, but they're certainly not related.

Mike will be a quadruple agent
When Cindy tries to recruit Mike into her junior ISA, he will pretend to agree so he can help the JSA as their mole. Unfortunately, his position makes the boy prey for Eclipso, who uses Mike's indignation and insecurities to possess him. Courtney, Pat and the JSA need to have an "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight to bring Mike back to his senses.
  • Jossed; she has no interest in him.

The villains of Season 2 will be the Royal Flush Gang
...and one of the low ranking members, Two of Clubs, will be revealed to be Sam, Courtney's actual father. Having her belief that Starman was her father being shattered would be one thing, but to learn her father is actually a bad guy who has actually been alive all these years instead will make Courtney question everything she thought she knew. Which'll make it all the better when she overcomes her doubts and decides she doesn't need to be Starman's daughter to carry on his legacy at all, and that stopping her no-good dad's bosses is just what she's meant to do.
  • The Royal Flush Gang will be depicted as having four "chapters", the Royal Flush Gang of Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades. Each operate in different parts of the United States. The Clubs will have been based in California, only to leave out of fear of the Injustice Society (since they'd have no idea they'd be heading to Blue Valley afterwards). That's why Sam never bothered to visit little Courtney; he already barely cared, so he probably took having to leave as a good excuse to not bother anymore. The Clubs chapter will decide to try and one up the Diamond, Hearts, and Spades chapters by being the ones to destroy the new Justice Society, and some members will go to Blue Valley beforehand out of costume to scope thing out. These members will be the 2 through 9 of Clubs, who mostly serve as additional support for King, Queen, Jack, Ace, and Ten, and Sam will be conflicted about things when he discovers Courtney is Stargirl, but'll help the Gang against her anyway out of a desire to potentially move up the ranks.
    • Given the first seasons theme of children of supervillains appearing the Walker family version of the Royal Flush gang could be used.
    • Jossed; they make a brief cameo in Season Three, but that's it.

Rick will end up moving in with Courtney's family
His uncle is clearly abusive and spending time in that house isn't going to do him any good. Conversely, Pat's friendship with his father plus the pair's shared knowledge of car mechanics will cause Rick to see Pat as a father figure and eventually move into the Whitmore household for his own well-being.
  • Jossed; his uncle leaves instead.

Alex Montez will come to have the Eclipso gem
Alex will somehow learn of the power Eclipso holds, and will try to use said power to punish those who hurt Yolanda, including Cindy and his own parents, ironically putting him at odds with her and her friends. Eclipso will spur Alex on as a voice in his head, causing the boy to become more and more violent and irrational, before eventually overpowering Alex's mind and take control of his body, making his appearance more monstrous in the process. Eclipso will then try to destroy all the heroes and maybe even the other villains as well.
  • Jossed; the Eclipso gem is destroyed and Alex doesn't learn anything about it.

Sylvester was brought back by Eclipso
I don't know much about Eclipso's comic book abilities, but I did see that an important factor is he takes over a host body in order to act. I suggest that after finding his gem, Cindy tracked down Sylvester's body and implanted Eclipso in it to use as a host. The first half of the next season will have Courtney and Pat thinking Sylvester is alive and well, and then it will be revealed later that he's been dead all along and his corpse is just a skin suit for Eclipso to use.
  • Jossed. Although in season 3 it's revealed something similar to this does turn out to have happened, only with a transplant of the Ultra-Humanite's brain.

Sylvester was brought back to life by the Thunderbolt.
Because Mike's friend Jakeem borrowed a pen and said something like "it would be so cool to meet Starman".
  • Jossed; Icicle, Dragon King, and the Ultra-Humanite did it as part of the plan to put the latter's brain his body.

For season 3, Sylvester is the one who killed The Gambler
He seems like a less obvious suspect than the former ISA members, and something about his resurrection story doesn't add up...perhaps he's possessed by a demon, or it's an impostor, or something? This is DC, so literally anything is possible. In any case, in 3x02 the Thunderbolt says that the killer has many names. Well, we already know of three: Sylvester Pemberton, Starman, Star-Spangled Kid...and there are upcoming episodes called "Infinity Inc.", which means he may further adopt the alias "Skyman". It's possible his motive for doing so may be as simple as "He hates the ISA with a passion" (which is something we've seen in these two episodes of season 3 thus far), or it may be something more complicated and involved.
  • Jossed; it was either Icicle with one of his ice pick fingers, or Dragon King in the Ultra-Humanite's gorilla body, and it occurred because the Gambler had discovered their camera feeds. Starman was an impostor, since he had the Humanite's brain in him, but this only helped him maintain the ruse and set up his Wounded Gazelle Gambit rather than having anything to do with the murder.

Becky Sharpe herself killed her father, The Gambler.
In 3x02 the "official" story is that a tornado killed The Gambler, and he was impaled on a piece of scrap metal that the wind tossed around. While it seems no one from the JSA is actually buying this, what if it is indeed the truth? But that wouldn't necessarily mean it was a freak accident. In the comics, Becky Sharpe is the character "Hazard", who has the power to manipulate probabilities, so something like summoning a plausible extreme weather event in the Midwest could potentially fall into that list of powers. As for the "the killer has many names" clue, well, I guess she has two so far: Rebecca and the nickname "Becky", with potentially the moniker "Hazard" being added as well.
  • Jossed. Not only was it Starman/the Ultra-Humanite who killed the Gambler, but the only scene we see with Becky involves her being nothing but sympathetic and grateful when learning the truth about her father from Courtney, nor is she indicated to possess her comic book counterpart's powers (yet).

Solomon Grundy killed The Gambler. And yes, somehow, he also installed the hidden cameras.
Strong enough to twist Sharpe's trailer into a pretzel? Check. Big enough to cast a huge shadow over Sylvester? Check. Has many names? He has at least three: Cyrus Gold, Solomon Grundy, and "The Dog". Plus, whoever's watching over the hidden camera monitors at least appears to be a rather big, strong, and guttural individual. As for the whole "He has a beast-like mentality. And he's also dead," thing, in the comics, whenever Solomon Grundy dies, he always resurrects, but sometimes with a drastically different personality than before. I'm guessing that, contrary to Rick's belief, Solomon Grundy actually has resurrected, but is now much smarter and far less moral, afterwards filling up his gravesite to trick people into thinking he's still buried so that he can enact his plan without anyone suspecting him.
  • Jossed. The one who destroyed the trailer was Dragon King in the Ultra-Humanite's gorilla body, and was also the one to "attack" Starman; the Gambler was either killed by him or by Jordan with his icicle finger; and the one growling at the camera was again either Dragon King/Humanite or Jordan, who was a bit unhinged after his brush with death. The intelligence to set up the cameras either came from Humanite himself or Dragon King once he was in his body. And for completion's sake, Grundy really was dead and in the grave, but he finally resurrects in the show's finale.
