• Nothing the crew perceives is actually happening, they are all just tripping on psychedelics. The episode starts and ends in the bar. They spend the whole episode continuously getting lost and nothing they try makes any difference whatsoever. Janeway passes out on the couch and when she wakes up, starts yelling in tongues. Ultimately they decided it was some unseen aliens screwing with them.
