If there is a sequel, it should be about Jonah's escape
- The clue is in the Meaningful Name.
- Lily is Lilith (Adam's alleged first wife in apocryphal legend). Eve was Adam's canon wife (and second wife according to the Lilith legend). Jonah is named for a Biblical prophet who was swallowed by a whale but was freed after three days. The guy in the movie would not be named Jonah (Adam would've made more sense) if an eventual escape wasn't in the cards. The "Siren" may have "swallowed" Jonah at the end of the movie but she'll have to "spit him out" soon after.
- Their "mating-for-life" is still moot since a valid union is predicated on him having sex with her willingly... yet he had sex with who HE THOUGHT was his wife, Eve. Thus; Lily's Bed Trick did not work, he's still Eve's and she still loses. Jonah must fall in love with and mate with LILY WILLINGLY while knowing she is Lily.
- Since Lilith the demon is often seen in modern times as a feminist icon and as a misunderstood figure based on an ancient minor goddess that was made a villain by misogynist ancient Hebrew scribes...perhaps Lily may turn out in the sequel to be more of an Anti-Villain and Reluctant Monster (made evil by Nyx) whom Jonah eventually falls for and the story ends with Eve and a somewhat-nicer Lily sharing Jonah.
