WMG / Shira Oka: Second Chances

Go To

The protagonist is a telephonophobe.
At the game start, the protagonist is flawed in every conceivable way, to the point that if you can think of a way for him to fail, he probably will. The only traits he has corrected are those you put points into.

Meanwhile, every time he receives a phone call he didn't initiate himself, he can get nothing else done that day, no matter what he hoped to do - origami-folding, swimming, or even just relaxing. He can get through the phone calls without breaking down in fear only because he's able to force the panic back long enough to get through a two to three minute phone call - but he then spends the rest of the day freaking out, rocking back and forth in the corner of his bedroom.

The issue doesn't come up when he makes his own phone calls because he has a chance to psych himself up, possibly with a little liquid courage from his dad's beer stash (which he's had several lifetimes to figure out how to plunder).

  • I doubt that Satsuko would let him do this. There also is the fact the upgrade for math/science is called robotics he also dosen't seem to have a problem around A giant mech firing missiles. Of course other then it's a giant robot destroying everything. So in all likely hood unless the developers say something this is Jossed. Also everything that your character dose that's not planning or talking to Satsuko takes up a day.

Haruhi got so mad at Kyon she sent him to an alternate reality where he's a total loser drunk. However Yuki (Kasumi), Mikuru (Satsuko), and Itachi (Hiroshi) are around to aid him in turning his life around again!

Rather than just sending the protagonist back in time, Satsuko creates a new timeline every time he's sent back
Whenever you complete someone's route, Satsuko compliments you on having saved or helped them. But by sending you back in time, that would mean she has effectively undone everything you worked for and that person hasn't been helped at all! But if you throw in the theory of multiple timelines, it means that the previous timeline still exists with the protagonist in it, but his consciousness was sent to this one.
