• Hannah's sitcom would have failed without Gordon's help. It had no jokes and social commentary and probably aired out way too much of Hannah's dirty laundry to fit in the mold of anything sitcom-y. The only reason it got greenlit was that the studio head wanted to prove he was edgy (he greenlit the fifth season of Handmaid's Tale), the other studio execs in the room were just going off the fact that reboots were working across the board, Reed wanted serious material too badly to notice it was supposed to be a sitcom, and the other actors were too desperate for work to read the script critically.
