Alamos Town was originally a major shared settlement of the The Diamond and Pearl Clans.
A decade or so after PLA, the Diamond and Pearl Clans established a shared settlement in the form of Alamos Town as a way to try to mend fences. The Spacetime Towers were originally conceived as a symbol of unity between the Clans. Godey is of Paldean origin.
His real-life namesake, Antonio Gaudi, was from Spain, and Paldea is based on Spain and Portugal. So it's possible that Godey is originally from Paldea, and brought that architectural style with him. Darkrai is the Darkrai from Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky
.Instead of being recruited post-postgame, Darkrai instead ended up in Alamos Town with complete amnesia. Alicia helped him open up and unknowingly prevented him from going down the dark path he had been on before-and ultimately, he found redemption by saving Alamos Town.- This is also why Dialga and Palkia also both kept attacking Darkrai even as they fought each other: he might not fully remember his past, but they both recognized him, and they wanted revenge.
Alamos Town is located upon a sensitive place in spacetime.
It is built in a location where Space and Time are particularly thin, allowing for easy detection of anomalies or for rifts to form more easily.
