All of Nelvana's cartoons are set in a Shared Universe
Pelswick and Braceface did use the same brick background texture element, and Max and Ruby and Timothy Goes to School were based off the works of the same author. In addition, Franklin and Little Bear have similar art styles (Bear from Franklin and the titular character of Little Bear look very similar).In conclusion, every Nelvana show takes place in the same universe, in different time periods (for example: The Middle Ages for Redwall and Blazing Dragons, The '80s for The Care Bears Family, the Turn of the Millennium for Pelswick and Timothy Goes to School, and a magical future time period for Mysticons).
