Mike Baxter and Tim from Home Improvement are twin brothers
They're both played by Tim Allen and while the one has only a wife and three sons, the second has only a grandson and lives with his wife and their girls.- jossed: Tim Taylor (still played by Tim Allen in a dual role) makes a cameo in season nine, the resemblance is lampshaded but treated as wholly coincidental.
Helen Potts is Jill Taylor
Her recently deceased husband is clearly Tim Taylor thanks to numerous Actor Allusions. At some point after Home Improvement ended the Taylors, including at least one of their sons, entered the Witness Protection Program, changed their names and moved half away across the country to Colorado. No hints yet why they had to go into WPP, but their friend and neighbor Wilson's past as a spy may have had something to do with it.- jossed: see above
