The Fool is Cordelia in disguise.In some adaptions of the play, the actor playing Cordelia is the same as the Fool. Perhaps Cordelia disguised herself to both keep an eye on her father and maybe try to show him that he made a bad decision putting all his trust in Goneril and Regan.
- Additionally, Cordelia and the Fool never appear in the same scene together.
