The Capistrano family lies about their "quirk"
  • Frolaytia's family is said to have a quirk where nearly 100% of the children are male. Due to this, Frolaytia is highly sought after due to her presumed ability to assure a male heir. But as the Main page mentions, this isn't biologically possible. Instead the Capistrano are secretly using some form of medical technology to assure they only have male children. They then boast to everyone about their "quirk" and how it has maintained their bloodline.
    • So why is Frolaytia a woman? Leverage. Now that the Capistrano reputation for being an all-male family is established, they allow a single girl to be born. Other noble families start trying to earn the Capistrano family's favor, and that won't just be in terms of the dowry. They'll also be a little more generous in other deals to earn favor, maybe even align with them politically.
    • And that ties into Frolaytia being in the military. Sure she can't get married while actively serving, but that just gives the Capistrano an excuse to drag out the suitor selection process and increase the power they have. They could probably recall Frolaytia at any time by talking with the top brass, but for right now she's fine where she is.

During the collapse of the UN, some "noble" families wrote themselves into history
  • How is it that there were enough royal and noble families with clear claims that they could found an entire supernation based on the concept of legitimacy? When the UN collapsed a large amount of data on history prior to that was lost. Some of this was incidental, but Azureyfear implies people could just as easily have destroyed information inconvenient to them as well, such as the existence of other claimants. If that's the case, it's also possible that new data was created during this period and was accepted as history afterward. People could have written their ancestors into ancient royal or noble families and then used that new "data" to stake their claim in the Legitimacy Kingdom.
