WMG / Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle

Go To

When Mothra's eggs hatch, at least one of them will metamorphosis into a Mothra Leo Expy
When they originally fought, according to novels, Mothra was actually able to beat Godzilla at least once. Since Godzilla Earth is way stronger than he was then, it'd make sense for the new Mothras to be way stronger too.

If Haruo or none of the humans kill Godzilla, chances are next movie will involve an Evil Versus Evil fight where Godzilla ends up going against King Ghidorah.
  • And both will be defeated by one of Mothra's offspring who will be either Mothra Leo's version of this continuity or an expy, this will cause a big villanous breakdown for Metphies due to both of his gods being defied and killed and also the end of Godzilla's reign which allows humanity to repopulate and retake the world, thus allowing a happy ending to happen to everyone.

Yuko may return in the third film, resurrected by Mothra.
Hell, she could even become a human-kaiju hybrid when Mothra's DNA somehow gets involved.
  • Not only that, but Haruo will also die in the first act and also be resurrected as a human-kaiju hybrid. And in the climax, Haruo and Yuko will fuse (not horrifically, but more like Gem Fusion or a simple Fusion Dance) to form a new, flesh-based Godzilla based on the MegaroGoji design (the 1973-1975 design) who proceeds to team up with Mothra and utterly demolish Godzilla Earth and King Ghidorah. And even after mankind reclaims Earth, the Exif are still sending hostile kaiju such as Gigan, Megalon, Hedorah, Moguera, and a new Mechagodzilla, but Haruo and Yuko, now a couple, stand ready to defend the Earth as the new Godzilla.
  • Or, she might not actually be dead, just comatose.
    • Confirmed.

Haruo and humanity and Godzilla forgive each other for what they did to the other.
  • Haruo, humanity, Godzilla, Mothra and her tribe would vanquish King Ghidorah and his followers. Haruo and Godzilla see each other and finally forgive for their actions and leave in peace.

Yuko isn't dead, but comatose.
The nanometal didn't completely assimilate her, and let's face it, Haruo didn't bother checking for a pulse. Adding credence to this theory is the fact that Yuko's voice actress is credited in the teaser for Planet Eater.
  • OP here. The synopsis for Planet Eater has confirmed this theory.
    • True enough, but it’s still pretty shocking. The nanometal was pouring out of her eye sockets and had basically vitrified everything below her face. And as nice as it is to know she’s not dead, this troper feels that Haruo doesn’t exactly deserve her anymore considering that he can’t decide to save her while she’s screaming in agony, and waits until after she stops gurgling. In his defense, of course, he really wanted to kill Godzilla. He needs to pay for her life somehow.
