A possible sequel will have you continue to play as the Dusk Dude
- Following from the ending of the first game, Dusk Dude is now forced to do Nylarhotep's bidding. Potential twists involving this may be:
- The Dusk Dude finding some way to break free of Nylarhotep's grasp and then beat the crap out of him for the final boss.
- As Dusk takes place in the same universe as FAITH: The Unholy Trinity, Nylarhotep will send you to fight God's servants. This will include priests, angels, and perhaps even John or Father Garcia from Faith. This will inevitably end in the same way the previous game did: the Dusk Dude fighting a foe he cannot beat, either one of God's greatest servants or even God Himself. This will result in a Bittersweet Ending of the Dusk Dude dying, but dying in satisfaction knowing Nylarhotep has finally been stopped.
- A mix of both, where Dusk Dude fights the armies of Heaven, but thanks to God's help is eventually able to break free of Nylarhotep's control and then fight him again.
Alternatively, you will play as a new character
- Most likely a new challenger of the cult. The Dusk Dude will then be the Final Boss, though unlike him you will find a way to beat Nylarhotep for good.
