• Bach is not actually killed in the final scene but it is all a set up. 2 of the members of the Majestic board who condemn him to death (J Edgar Hoover and Bobby Kennedy) are men whom he has blackmail evidence against and Loneguard has previously warned him that there is a Hive mole within the organisation and he's seen how the captured Grey reacts to Albano. Bach is unsurprised at Albano's confession and incredibly calm. Fans speculate that there are blanks in Albano's gun and even that Albano is actually a double agent who volunteered to infiltrate the Hive for Bach.
