Ruth Martin is the Attorney General by the time of the show, but a newscast in Hannibal only mentions her as a former senator.- Not to mention that the Paul Krendler of the series, portrayed as a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, bears little resemblance to the sleazy misogynist portrayed by Ray Liotta in Hannibal.
