Naomi is related to Dark Vincent in some way
  • This theory was proposed by u/DannySuperNoob on Reddit, so credit to him.
  • During Naomi's fight with Rosalina, the background theme is Daughter of the Dark Lord, hinting at Naomi being the daughter of one of the big bads, specifically Dark Vincent as they are the only Mii Gunners in the CPUCS canon currently.
    Alpharad: :)
  • Just a side note, Linus was also a Mii Gunner. Just throwing that out there.

Rosalina is dead and has been replaced by her dark realm counterpart
  • It just seems like an odd thing that Blood Falcon's killing power would only work in the dark realm, specially since it was confirmed in Endgame that he isn't from there and he has always fought in death matches including in the light realm. Therefore Rosalina is dead. And what is the outfit we see her wear when she returns? A DARK OUTFIT!
  • Also, the above mentioned track Daughter of the Dark Lord could also apply to Rosalina as well if she is truly of the Dark Realm.
    • By the creator of this WMG. Jossed. HOWEVER...

Rosalina is the traitor
  • While it has been confirmed that the light realm death thing is real thanks to Jo, but remember; Audible | Link was corrupted when he was sent to the Dark Realm, and Rosa supposedly wasn't. And before you say, Tony was sent to the Dark Realm and he wasn't corrupted? He wasn't actually sent to the dark realm, because he was in between life and death. Rosa is the spy. not Cloud or Erdrick.

The announcers suddenly being very mean to Jo before his death
was a back-up plan.
  • Since Jo was leaving at the end of The Way Home, they needed to give a reason for Jo's departure. The obvious solution is to have Jo be "killed" by Blood Falcon, but seeing as this is the same season where Rosalina won an entire tournament despite having never done so before, they needed a back-up plan in case Jo won the match. Since the only tool that they have at their disposal is talking, they decided to play up their assholeish behaviour to give a Jo a reasonable excuse to leave.

"SUMMIT" is canon
  • This was proposed by u/GuestZero on Reddit, so props to him
  • While Word of God has stated for the episode to be non-canon, this is my explanation as to how this episode is canon. Terry Bogard has never been seen prior to the Tournament. He's either a noncanonical character as is to the CPUCS or a Season 5 character depending on what happens going forward, but the latter seems like it could set the events on Season 5.

Rosalina only enforces this given that she's GOOD at the game... But not quite enough to defeat Terry. It's as if this is her peak during her rise to power during the two year timeskip, enforced by a brand new form she had to use during Thug Finals - Her Golden Form, which didn't seem strong enough to turn the tables.

Jo is alive and well. While an event similar to ";the way home" is depicted to have happened, this Tournament has to have happened prior to that Season 4 Episode or after their succesful rescue whenever happens in Season 5.

Major, introduced in Season 3, gives credence to the fact that it could have happened prior. Problem is, Major aligns himself with the Dark Realm here even though he was actively an ally of the Light Realm in Season 3. This does not end up shoving the time frame to Season 4 onwards, because...

...Vincent is participating. This immediately sets these events to have happened during or before Season 3. It will make much more sense later as I dwelve on it, but it perfectly sets the stage, even with the events discrepancy.

During Thug Finals, the stage changed between realms, for one, and Dark Vincent never fought in spite of being on the team. Who we get to see fighting is Blood Falcon and two brand new Dark Realmers, Darktor Mario and Dark Palutena. The ruleset also changed: No more Stamina, stage morphs and a 5v5, unseen thus far. It didn't feel like a gradual invasion like it was in Season 3.

Anyways, so when do we set this utterly bonkers episode?

Season 2, after Vincent won his tournament, prior to this Season's Major Tournament.

Why do I believe this: Given that Vincent was missing during this period and not really participating, I can see him hopping to another Realm in order to keep training and getting stronger. This is given credence as this seems to be set on a 2 year future from Season 2: Jo is ok in spite of his demise, Major hangs out with them, Rosalina is good, etc.

That's right, I theorize SUMMIT is set on a 4th Universe. Let's call it the Light Lofi-Hip Hop Realm. Or Stamina Realm for short.

Having lost the first match against Skillshare Kirby allowed Vincent to witness something akin to the Light Realm's invasion without directly intervening. Given the 5v5 vastly different format, however, it looked as if the Dark Realm was already merging at this point with that world, making the last stand even more tragic. Season 3's first episode, where Vincent and Dark Vincent fight so early, seem to be all the more poetic given than the latter knowingly fought him BECAUSE Vincent has seen what Blood Falcon and his army are capable of. In turn, the Season 3 Light Realm's Invasion was caused unwittingly by Vincent's Realm hopping to train. Dangerously similar to how Naomi brought attention back to the Light Realm by trying to go back to it.

Ok so what about Dark Major tho? Well, given Punished Convict and actual Major have fought against the Dark Realm before, he could very well an exlcusive creation of the Dark Realm and not necessarily the same guy.

So there you have it, my absolutely absurd take on how you could fit this into the actual timeline in an extremely controversial and convoluted manner.

Why Ridley threw his match with LinusH111
He had enough trouble having angered one kid with an arm cannon, and he didn't want to tick another one off.
