WMG / Blue Lock

Go To

Sae's actions towards Rin are an attempt of motivating him towards becoming the number one striker in the world.
  • Sae's sudden change of motives after coming back to Japan might have been a way of making Rin abandon the idea of just being "the second-best" and actually aiming towards the top, while he himself would support his brother as a midfielder.
  • Would fit with the fact that Rin is pretty reminiscent of Sasuke Uchiha of Naruto fame in regards to his personality and motives being based around hatred toward his brother.

Prediction for Kunigami's Character Development.
While Kunigami's change in personality is understandable, him reverting back to who he used to be is nigh-impossible and unrealistic. However, he is still has his morals, advising Isagi not to overexert himself when the latter asks for his help. The peak of Character Development might be him embracing both his "heroic" and "egoistic" side instead of abandoning either, and finding a good balance between them.

Kira will be back.
Likely as the captain of a team of expelled Blue Lock member including Kuon, Hibiki, Keisuke Wanima and others who will demand a match against the Blue Lock Eleven to earn a spot back at the program. It would end up being a Curb-Stomp Battle where his team won't be able to do much (if anything), serving just to show how much the Blue Lock Eleven has leveled up after the Neo Egoism League.
  • Perhaps even with a certain amount of curbstomping being a equirement to advance to the next part/the one who scores most against the dropout getting to advance.

Alternatively, Kira Ryousuke will join a foreign team.
After all, losing in Blue Lock only prevents him from playing for Japan. So perhaps Kira spitefully joins an overseas team purely to show how Ego's methodology costed Japan one of their best and most promising prodigies. Granted, in this scenario he would likely still struggle to stand out amongst his new team mates, if the ordeals that the Blue Lock players experienced in the Neo Egoist League are anything to go by.

Nijioka is a joke character
Basically a joke aim to how much the sport press likes to hype talented young up and comers as "the next Messi" or "the next Ronaldo" when they are still in early states of their carer (ie: still in the juvenile/minor league) and more often than not they end up having good runs, but nowhere near what the press initially hyped them for.

Voice Cast for the anime adaptation

At some point, maybe even in the next World Cup tournament, Team Japan is going to lose a big game in a Penalty Shoot-out.
In real-life, Japan lost to Croatia in the 2022 World Cup due to their poor performance in the final penalty shoot-out. Thus, the series is going to mirror it in some way, such as have it come into play in some tournament. It's gotta pop up eventually when this series hasn't yet delved into the penalty shoot-out aspect of soccer.
