The story will be more closely tied to Jackals, and explain Turis' soul is inside the Kumoito or something.
  • The separate continuity of Killing Bites got tied to Jackals instead.

The zombie outbreak will reach a global scale.

The brain transplant plot point from Himenospia will be rehashed here just like the ageless schoolgirl dictator plot point from Arachnid got rehashed there.
  • Doesn't happen as of chapter 19, but have a whole Serena Cervantes instead.

Dinoponera did get raped and infected but thanks to the gamergate traits of her namesake ant (workers can replace the alpha of their colony) became the new queen of the army ant zombies and isn't mindless.
Although it was off-screened, Sasori's reaction heavily implied Dinoponera did get raped for real then. The remaining question is whether she turned into am Empty Shell afterwards or not.
  • Chapter 2 confirms Dinoponera was zombified, and as she is she can only weakly cry out for Chiyuri.
  • In chapter 4, Dinoponera breaks free from the brainwashing via The Power of Friendship, and a Megaponera analis analogy is given for her. Then her own poneratoxin is used as justification for her recovery.

Alice will become villainous now that she's the new Organization Boss, or at least the story will pretend she's gone bad.

Contrary to expectations, things will end well for both Alice and Gokiburi. Choubu no Shinobi did break the author's tendency of bittersweet endings despite how dark it was.
And for Chiyuri and Setsuna too. Wouldn't it be too bleak if anything bad happened to Setsuna after she was already gangraped to near death for her behavior in the previous series? One can only hope that raising a daughter made Murata lose some of his edge...

Kabutomushi/Ran somehow is the same Ran from Choubu no Shinobi, which is set in the Sengoku era. Kabuto is frequently called old like she's supernaturally old, and more than one scene drew parallels between her and the ageless Organization Boss to hint at how Kabuto would end up killing her.

The title is a Red Herring and Gokiburi is not actually the story's protagonist. It could be a termite person instead.
  • Red herring confirmed: instead of Megumi, the new protagonist is a different roach-girl called Chiyuri Haijima. However, Gokiburi does debut in chapter 11 in what seems like a major antagonistic role.

There will be multiple cockroaches other than Megumi and Chiyuri, all fighting to conquer post-apocalyptic Japan.

Chiyuri will save Dinoponera from being infected by the army ants. The two will then have an Odd Friendship to further mirror Megumi and Alice.
Why else would a new protagonist get introduced, and then immediately be set as a rival to Dinopo? Better not be to Mercy Kill her (which would mirror Alice killing Kumo and Imomushi killing Hotaruga in their own stories)...
  • They become friends, but Chiyuri unfortunately wasn't around to help Dinopo from being zombified.
  • Dinoponera is who saves Chiyuri instead.

Like Choubu no Shinobi, the plot will be Darker and Edgier to the point of actually killing most of the cast and even Kabutomushi or Alice might get rubbed out. Dinoponera might be back after all this time just to die within the first volume, too. Lewding her so much, so soon, is very suspicious fanservice.
  • As of chapter 4, no named characters die and the story seems to actually have a more hopeful tone, with Dinoponera recovering from the zombiefication and saving Chiyuri.

Chiyuri's name might be a play on "治癒" ("chiyu", meaning "healing" or "cure") and roaches are known to have antibiotics in their brains. Therefore, Chiyuri might be a Living MacGuffin who can somehow put an end to the rape zombie epidemic.
  • Jossed so far; Dinoponera is the Living MacGuffin instead, as her venom provides immunity against the Queen's Rule virus.

Even if she recovers from being a zombie, Dinoponera/Setsuna will eventually either actually die or have a Disney Death from overuse of her Concentration Driving Force power much like how Sailor Pluto, who she is named after, dies from using her power to stop time.

Nanafushi from Caterpillar will be allied with Alice and Hanakamakiri.
The author heavily hinted at this in a 2018 Twitter post:
"Who's stronger, Nanafushi or Ginyanma? It may be Ginyanma considering her specs, but if the former uses her "invisibility" well it may be difficult to snipe her. But Ginyanma seems to get along with Yori-chan, so given that Nanafushi-chan becomes flustered when her mind is read, she may not win after all... I wonder. But Ginyanma has already died, and I feel Nanafushi-chan could get along fine with Alice and Hanakamakiri. I have high hopes for Nanafushi-chan in the future."

Alice and Dinoponera will join forces to defeat and kill Sasori for good.

The "Institution" Chiyuri escaped from is a criminal syndicate new to the story, and not just one of the Organization's evil orphanages.
  • Jossed; chapter 6 establishes Chiyuri just escaped from Kabutomushi's mistreatment at Pomario.

The story involves Time Travel.
Alice saying she personally killed Yoriko while Kabutomushi is standing nearby without any of the battle damage she had in the original story might be a case of an alternate timeline instead of a retcon. Dinoponera talking about how "Sailor Emerald" uses magnetism to control time and Chiyuri resembling Mayuri from Steins;Gate are supposed to be hints at a time travel theme.

Alice will get paralyzed by Sasori at Shouran High's rooftop similarly to how Dinoponera got owned earlier, but aside from Gokiburi and Kabutomushi being there to help, Kamadouma will arrive out of nowhere to hit Sasori with a Rider Kick.
Would be a neat way to bring him back while also echoing both his first encounter with Sasori and his Epic Fail attempts to save Alice from other enemies in Arachnid.
  • Jossed; in chapter 5, Alice is knocked out by Kabutomushi instead and Kabuto tries to ignore Sasori. Jigabachi and then the zombies are the ones who next come into the rooftop.

Alice being brought into the Organization in the prologue is actually the final act of the story and the mention of vaccine development against the zombie virus is meant to imply something has happened to Dinoponera since she and Chiyuri fruitlessly went looking for Alice.
  • Jossed. The story resumes in the present time with Alice as the Boss and Chiyuri and Dinopo still looking for her together.

Dinoponera might lose limbs over the course of the story.
There's a very worrisome amount of foreshadowing pointing to this since Caterpillar:
  • She is defeated in Arachnid by being forced to stab herself on the leg. As a parallel to this, her lookalike in Caterpillar gets her right leg chopped off by the weapon Kabutomushi would later regret not bringing against Dinoponera. There's also the fact her father lost an arm to Imomushi.
  • Unka got his legs blown off by a landmine after failing to back up Paraponera. This is supposed to parallel the flashback of Dinoponera getting abandoned by Paraponera after being unable to keep up with him.
  • At one point in Blattodea, Dinoponera is juxtaposed with the zombie girl Alice completely dismembered at the prologue of the story, complete with a random flashback of the mutilated girl later in the chapter in case readers didn't get it. And soon later Imomushi threatens to break Dinoponera's left leg.
  • Dino's rescue of Chiyuri after recovering from being a zombie gets an analogy with Megaponera analis ants being the only other animal other than humans who give first aid to their wounded, but those ants actually do not request help if they're so crippled they can't stand on their own.

Evil Aunt Karina isn't enough: Alice's uncle Yoshio will turn up alive somehow.
As a Brick Joke to this official illustration from when Arachnid ended.

The story will involve expies of Yoshinobu Nishizaki as an antagonist and Naoko Takeuchi as an ally.

Gokiburi betrayed and imprisoned Kabutomushi somewhere in Hibarigaoka prison in exchange for power after learning Alice was to become the new Boss.
  • Jossed. After disappearing for several chapters, she turns out to have been "working" at WcDonald's the whole time.

This story's version of Serena is a Termite Queen instead of a Wasp Queen like in Himenospia.

It was aliens again.

Setsuna Dinoponera will turn out to have a brother.
Back when Paraponera was first defeated in Caterpillar and is thought to be dead, it is said that money will be sent to his remaining family members, alluding to other people related to him besides Dinoponera. An illustration of Dinopo from Murata that was posted as part of the chapter sketch compilations of Arachnid on his Pixiv Fanbox specifies her gender for some reason, and it's the only character sketch in there to do so, as if implying there's a male counterpart to her somewhere.

Serena will at some point kill Megumi just like her Himenospia counterpart killed Himeno's friend Nagisa, who was Megumi's equivalent in that story.
And if it happens, she won't get away with it at all, to display how venomous and vengeful Alice can be compared to Himeno (who, despite being pretty psychotic herself, ended up working with Serena for the greater good).
  • Chapter 37 has a joke where Megumi flops on her back "like a dead cockroach" out of shock from spotting Alice and then exclaims she isn't dead. Seems very ominous when one remembers Arachnid had three foreshadowing jokes about Yoriko falling over before she turned out to be a villain and Kabutomushi killed her by blowing her off a building.
